IPhone :: Installing Downloaded Ringtone Via ITunes?
Jun 17, 2012
I was fed up with the limited amount of sounds on the iphone 3gs so wanted to change it and found that you can buy one from Itunes so I did this and bought one now my problem is installing it on the phone as a ring tone. I downloaded it via the itunes on the phone not the computer.
I have downloaded a ringtone and the app says to import it to the "ringtones" tab in itunes but I cannot find such a tab. I have the app downloaded to my iphone 4s but cannot find a way to attach it to a contact.
When i try to install an app that i downloaded from internet it does the install process but then says "app not installed". Apps from google play install just fine. I also have allowed unknown apps to be installed.
I'm trying to install an application (http://m.waze.co.il) on my N97. It comes, as you may see, in a cab file format. Trying to download it, wether I used the link, and wether I used the S3 link inside the page on the browser, got me stuck. So I decided to download it to my local computer, and install it via web server I've created locally. Then it downloaded the file, but after downloading it, it installed nothing. After clicking on it, it says "Unable to open file, File type is not supported." Installing it using the Nokia installer, from my PC, didn't create any response on my computer. Anything I can do?
I have a downloaded MP3 tune which is in my Media Music file. How do I use that tune as a specific ringtone for one of my contacts. I am getting myself into such a mess.
I'm getting a "Network connection lost" error shortly after the installation of a downloaded app is started. The status bar gets to about 15% and then the installation is interrupted. I've tried using WiFi and non-WiFi connections, but the result remains the same. My N8-00 was upgraded to the Belle OS over the weekend and it caused most of the apps to be uninstalled. Now I'm trying to get them back but fail to do so because of the error.
I'm having trouble installing a custum ringtone. I've downloaded it as an MP3 to the My Music folder and also copied it to a new folder that I've called "music" on my external memory card. So I'm able to play the tune from both locations but I can't find any menu option that allows me to set it as the ringtone. When I hold down the song in My Music a menu comes up that gives a number of options starting with Play and ending with Copy to DLNA server and Delete. The Mortorla phone tech person said that between the last two on his phone was a Set as ringtone option but it does not exist on mine. He offered to reset my phone to the original factory settings. But I would loose too much stuff so that is not an option.how I get to set it as a my new ringtone?
I bought some songs on playstore so I could use them as ringtones but my downloaded music does not show in the music app. how do I use the music as a ringtone...
I have just got a 5230 as my N95 finally gave up and I have managed to transfer everything and set up the 5230 as I want it apart from the ringtones. I just cant set a song as a ringtone on my nokia 5230 it says file is protected but it plays in the music player. All songs I have downloaded have been purchased from Nokia music store and transfered to the 5230 via usb cable as I realised that doing it via bluetooth doesnt transfer the licences aswell so I re did all that. they are the same songs that I had set as ringtones on my N95 with no problems, what am I doing wrong?
With the standard email client(for POP3 email...not Gmail) on my Droid X2 I can only find a select number of ringtones to use for email notifications. I would like to use a ringtone I have downloaded and am currently using for incoming calls. I've looked through the folders on my phone's SD card, but, to be honest, I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
I downloaded the update for iOS 5.1 for my iPhone 4 from itunes. Download was complete and I clicked on iphone under devices. 'Downloads' where the update was complete disappeared. What to do now?? Where it has gone? My iPhone is still in same condition i.e. with old version.
I just recently downloaded the newest version of itunes, my iphone was connected and now my computer won't recognize my phone when I hook it up and it won't appear in itunes. All my other apple devices including my husbands iphone 4s is recognized. I have windows 7?
I guess the only way I can tether my iP4 to my 10v hackintosh without paying o2's 'extra charges' will be by jailbreaking right? Any other way?...If I put my already activated micro-sim into my iP4 at the store, what will I be able to do with it on my train back...or will i need to 'register' via iTunes first before i can mess with it?
If I have to register it via iTunes before i can do anything with it then i guess i can do this on a Mac at the store right (making sure i sign out properly after having finished doing this ofcourse)?I have already downloaded the apps i will be installing via iTunes to my netbook. i'm guessing i simply plug the ip4 into my netbook and install them on the way home...or will i need an internet connection to install already 'downloaded' apps?
I have purchased free prodcast of avengers trailer from itunes store. I want to delete it but I cant find it when I connect my iphone in the itunes .Also, there's no delete button when I swipe it from left or right.
I just downloaded some new software for the phone, the software update failed and then my phone was stuck telling me to connect to Itunes. I tried holding down the home and power button to get the dfu mode for restore, I've done this a few times now, it goes black after doing it and then goes back to the connect to itunes screen when I do it again. My computer is recognising the phone as it makes a noise when I plug it in however Itunes is not picking up the phone.
