IPhone :: Hold On To JB And Wait For 4.2
Sep 4, 20104.1 only brings small features that I am not too excited about. I'm gonna hold on to my JB and wait for 4.2 to come out. I don't know if the DevTeam will release a JB for 4.1 because 4.2 is just around the corner. IMO, it would be better if they wait till 4.2.

Jun 4, 2012my iphone battery died and now it wont turn it all it shows is the charging screen with a lighting bolt i left it on my wall charger for 45 mins and still had not turned on so i plugged it in my laptop for another 45 mins and still not turned on i tried restoreing it but the computer wont recognise the iphone i tried holding down the home and power button and the screen went black then took me back to the charging screen there are no signs of it charging do i need to replace my battery

I can click home from the first home screen for spotlight.
I can click and hold for voice control.
I can double click for multitasking.
But if I double click and don't release the home button for phone favorites, nothing ever happens. Is this not how it is suppose to work.
IPhone :: 4 Overheating So Much That It Hurts To Hold It?
Mar 17, 2012I have an iPhone 4 with Movistar. I bought my iPhone on May/2011 and i started having problems with the home button during february. I took my iPhone to Movistar technical service and the give a new one.
Whitin minutes of using my new iPhone 4, i noticed that the gadget was really hot and the battery drained really fast. Also, i could only talk if a put the phone on speaker mode and not in the usual way. On the next hours, the iphone was so hot that it feel like it burn my hand and hurts, no damage, but it was hot enough to hurt.
I took it to Movistar first thing in the morning and they noticed the problem right away (it was new), but they donīt want to give me other at the moment, i have to wait 10 days, i already waited 10 days the first time, so they can see and then give me a solution. I think that they never got me a new iPhone the first time, and only replace it with a used one. Movistar Chile is know for they corrupt practices
There is no Apple oficial representation here, so i donīt know who can i contact, but i trust the quality of Apple products (i have and iMac and an iPod Touch also), so i know that the company donīt hand defective new products like that.

Apr 22, 2012i was using my iphone 4 last night when all of a sudden the hold/lock button at the top of the phone become stuck. I have not dropped it or anything and so cannot understand why there is a problem. it is stuck in the downwards position, as if i had pressed it and the button has not come back up.

Jun 11, 2010Im not one who feels they need to put their entire music/iTunes collection on their phone. I will probably have no more than 1GB worth of music at any one time. If Im feeling conflicted maybe another 1GB but doubtful. As far as videos I wont have more than a few on there. Maybe another 1GB or 2. As far as apps, I highly doubt I would ever get more than 100 apps at once and from what I understand, outside of GPS apps, they are all pretty much 10MB or less. So at a 100 apps maybe another 1GB there. Lets say I buy a GPS app that takes up 2GB. So Ive got 1GB in music, 1GB of videos, 1GB of Apps and a 2GB GPS app. Ive used 5GB and I would have somewhere between 10GB and 11GB left.
Now lets talk about photos. I wont really load anything more than some wallpapers but when I start taking photos (and videos) I wont let them pile up for too long without moving them to my MacBook. So if I have several hundred photos on the iPhone at any one time, lets say 1GB to 2GB used.
Would I be fine in this scenario? Or should I go for 32GB? So I may get down to 8GB free, maybe less if I let stuff build up more. Would you find this acceptable for your use?

Feb 3, 2010I really cant be without my phone so my options are:
1. Send to apple, $199 plus $29 for a pre replacement.
2. Buy an old ebay 2g or 3g phone as a backup while mine is fixed then sell it on ebay.
3. Get an early upgrade for $399 and sell my cracked one on ebay.
4. Any other options?

I was originally thinking that I'd just get a 16 GB IPhone 4 but then I got to wondering whether, with the higher resolution display, the video & apps would be significantly larger size files. For instance, will TomTom be 2.5GB instead of 1.25GB? And HD videos?

Jun 14, 2010I currently have a 32 GB 3Gs. Honestly if it wasn't for the 14 movies I have on it, I would barely top out 5 GB. I'm thinking since I have a 32 GB iPad, I should be okay. If I want to watch movies portable, I'll bring my iPad. It's easier on the eyes than watching on an iPhone, especially when you're riding in the back of the car and the road is bumping that little screen up and down. Am I crazy for thinking this way? Economy is bad, money's tight, 16GB is all the wife will allow me right now.

Mar 30, 2012I updated my firmware to the latest version but it seems that it doesn't support my SIM after the update. What I did was to reset the iPhone, hoping that it will reverse to its previous state. What happened is that the unit seems to be dead. Only the Apple logo appears in the display. I tried to sync it with iTunes hoping to recover the unit to its previous state. Jul 16, 2010The proximity sensor on my iPhone 4 has been driving me crazy and I've been holding the phone to my left ear the same way as I've held every iPhone before with no problems. I thought what would happen if I moved it up a bit so the sensor was at the top part of my ear instead of at the hole part of the ear. So far, in the 3 calls I've made, it seems to have fixed it. Will have to see some more of the next couple days and it does require you to think and focus on how you are holding it but at least I can use the phone.

May 14, 2012About 5 weeks ago, I got my iPhone 4s wet. It was not completely submerged in water and had a phone cover on it at the time.I put it in a bag of rice for about 3 weeks and it is now fully functional.The buttons, sound, camera, touch screen, etc... it works the way it did before. The only way the phone will turn on is if I connect it to the charger, but it will only stay on for a few mins before a red line appears across the screen and fades out then will power itself up again. If i leave it connected to the charger it will keep doing this over and over again.

Jun 7, 2010I am using IPhone 8GB (First gen) and am getting IPhone 4. I was almost decided on 16GB till my friends told me that 5 megapixel photos will be much larger than 2 megapixel ones. Also HD video will be large. I am only using 5GB out of my 8GB phone now. I have 3GB of music and about 600 pictures on my phone. And yes about 150 applications. I don't need movies or TV shows. So just for Higher resolution pics and video, do I need 32GB over 16GB?
