I have had a black bumper since day one and have just bought a coloured one. The couloured one seems to have a better fit around the volume buttons and the lock button.Anyone else noticed the same?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOn the logic board of a 3g and 3gs (i am not sure about the other models) there is a golden coloured tab that sticks out and when the board is in the housing it makes contact with the chrome bezel. I was wondering what the job of this little part is and what the implications would be if it did not do its job properly.

Haveing seen the explosion of threds about the iphone signal problem I cant help notice the amount of people willing to apcept a free bumper! are people out there heads?
Its a flaw at the end of the day and if apple admit to it will people find it that hard to give up there phone and apcept a free bumper? do we get free screws with the next purchase?
Does anyone have a nokia phone from years back with expess on covers? think the its the 3210 i had I lost the back and if you caught the little metal strip antenna with your hand it killed the signal and droped the call!

on the blue bar under time,I've a coloured envelope with no 2 next to it,so I open tray to find what it is,its some email of some sort but can't see where or what??? Annoying!! Looks cld be summat to do with google but I've looked and nothing!how can I get rid of these icons? Also the facebook notification came up saying I'd 4 notifications and opened it,to find I'd only 1.now that fb notification is still there,its not dissapearing.more concerned bout the coloured envelope?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Lumia 800 has gone crazy. This is a replacement phone for the last Lumia that I got that turned off one day and then didn't turn back on. I have had this one for only three weeks.Last night at about 9pm, before I got any New Year messages the screen of my phone changed to a multi coloured static looking screen and I couldn't do anything to fix it.I could hear messages coming through occasionally and the phone rang a few times but I was unable to answer it due to not being able to see what I was doing.I have tried doing a soft reset to no avail and I have also drained the battery til it went dead and have recharged it, but have not had any joy with it today either.This phone has not been dropped or damaged in any way, so I have no idea what is going on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
3 times this week, my IPhone 4 randomly shuts off without me even knowing. I go to use my phone and it's just a black screen. The only way I can turn it back on is if I hold the on/off button and the home screen button at the same time for 10 seconds. Then my phone starts working again normally. But this has happened 3 times this week and I don't know why?? I've had this phone for about 2 years and this is the first issue I've had with it.

My 3G and 3GS were always white, but that's because I liked the front as all black when the screen was off. Even when on, I think the white will be distracting.

The proximity sensor on the top does annoy me a little bit, but doesn't bother me too much. I'll be pre-ordering my white 32GB iPhone 4.

My iPhone 4 just went completely black. It had 74% battery, dropped a call, I tried calling back, then unplugged it from car charger and then it went completely dead. Holding down lock button on top doesn't do anything. Plugging in to Mac doesn't do anything.

I kept my iphone 3gs at charging yesterday,n it completed 60% of its charging,in the meantime I got message from someone & to check that out as soon as i raised my phone ,its dock flew out from the switchboard's socket and my screen went black..i tried switching it on several times along with inserting in/out my sim evry now and then but nothing worked.

Yesterday I took my iPhone 4S off the charger and for some reason the screen was black. Power off and on, hard reset and plugging into PC and wall charger does not work. It is on, because if turned on silent it vibrates and when plugged in it makes a noise. Otherwise unresponsive. Also, I just left it for a bit yesterday in the hope that it might fix itself and when I came to check on it, it was really hot. It wasn't plugged into the charger or anything...
