When pre-ordering the iPhone 4 on Apple.com (US store), it would seem the pre-order to does not cause the upgrade eligibility date to adjust on at&t servers.
What happens if one were to order several iPhone 4? The price shown is the same every time.
How do you guys think they'll handle this: cancel the extra illegitimate orders or ship them and charge the full (non-subsidized) price?
All pre-orders for iPhone are being shipped by Apple. However both ATT and Apple are fulfilling and taking the orders. They do not ship to ATT first then ATT re-ships to end user. The only reason ATT gives you that "based on available stock" crapola is because they are not in control of the actual shipping and thus do not have the actual visibility into stock as apple.Thus if you get an order confirmation from either site, you are just as likely to get it on the 24th. Same shipping method. Time of day is simply dependent on the FedEx route.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI will be ordering online on the 15th and am curious what has history shown as a time of night or morning that they have started taking pre-order in the past? I worry that if I make my order late in the day that I will be at the end of the list and may not get mine on day1. Is this possible to get mine after thousand of others have already pre-ordered and mine be pushed back a day or two so the early orders are filled first?
Just want to prepare and be online ready to place my order at whatever time of night it may possibly be. Obviously there is no way of knowing but this is the 4th iPhone so 3 others in the past may give us an idea on when to be ready.

View 24 Replies View RelatedSo in the craziness of today, I was able to (somehow) successfully place an order via both ATT premiere and the apple site. (two browsers going, one I thought stalled out...nope...success)
I now have 2 confirms, 2 order statuses, 2 32G's at $299. I would like to cancel the ATT order, don't see a way to do it as it's "processing"
What do people think? One will be canceled somewhere along the line? I don't want both canceled....and only 1 want dang phone to come on the 24th.
Throughout all the craziness, i got to the final page 1 time for AT&T, and then I put in all my information and submit. It error-ed out immediately so I checked my balance on my card and tried again for the rest of the day. I was eventually successful with apple. Now I have this: What The Hell do I do? Can i cancel one. I fu**ed up badly.

From what I've gathered these all seem to be from people who ordered from either apple.com or AT&T.com, paid with a credit card and set them up to ship to their home as apposed to setting up an in-store pickup reservation. Can anyone let me know if this ISNT the case? Has anyone had a canceled order who's signed up for in store pickup on launch day?

So don't fret if your order has not shipped yet as most likely it will ship directly from a warehouse somewhere here in the United States.

I have an I phone and going to get one for wife and daughter. My apple ID is the one where all our music is located as my wife and daughter use their ipods.  If they get their own apple ID's, I don't believe they can access their purchased music and apps on my apple ID.   If we all use the same apple ID, any unintended consequences.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have contact list with records for a lot of people (300+), each with several phone numbers each, home, mobile & work, etc, .I can't seem to find a way to have the iPhone announce the name & number or name & type (home,mobile,work) of the caller from the contact list, my old cell phone could do that easily.
At the moment what I've been doing as a work around for a few (important) people is to create a custom ringtone for that caller & that phone number. Since it also seems there's no way to attach a different ringtones to each number in a single contact record I've had to create multiple contact records for each person, each with a different name/number combination such as "John Doe Work", "John Doe Home" or John Doe Mobile" then assign to it the custom ringtone I created for that name/number.
I need to this so that if I receive a call while I'm driving (or whatever) that I can't answer right then for some reason (often happens), the ringtone I created for that name & number helpfully lets me know who & where their calling from. It's very important to know where someone is calling from, if someone's calling from home then I know I've got some time, but if their calling from work then I need to get back to them quickly.
having to make multiple contacts & ringtones for a every person with multiple numbers is a extraordinary waste of time. My old cell phone could do this with no problem but there doesn't seem to be any way to do this with my new iphone.

I recieved my 9650 this morning.I setup 2 email addresses (that actually were moved from my curve to my bold), and all of my emails are dumping into ONE folder i hate it. View 5 Replies View RelatedIn september I bought an 8330 curve. It worked great, and other than a few small things (not comfirming bbm contacts) it worked awesome, solid, never unstable. The screen started to have bubbles on the inside of it, so I took it in on warranty, and was given a new one AFTER I was sent home to make a backup. I get the new phone, came directly home and reloaded the backup. The next day, it started randomly rebooting. Even if it was just sitting there.
Sunday it shut off and when it tried to restart it just went to JVM error 102. If you reset it or did a hard reset it would always go to JVM error 102 when it tried to boot. I was out of town, and use my phone for work, so I was tickled pink, since its supposedly brand new.
Monday night they give me a new one AGAIN because nobody at the store can seem to fix it or figure it out. I go home, reload my data, wich is now a week old, and within a few hours it randomly starts rebooting agian. Then it wouldnt start, just flash the red LED, wich it did regardless of how many times I tried a hard restart. Eventualy this morning after 8 hours of flashing the red LED, I did a hard restart and it work.
I don't download apps. I use the phone, text, email, and I email pictures to my boss. Its the main reason i have a BB, so I dont get killed on MMS message charges, I just have unlimited email and I send the pics on email. The odd time I browse. And I don't do any of the things ppl talk about on crackberry where they are farting around doing things they arent supposed to and thier phone crashes. Any idea why my "new" curves keep doing this? 3rd one in 5 months, and 2 of them in the last week.
Apps? The ones that come on the phone from the factory. I live in terror that any thing else will brick my curve. I even talk nice to it.
The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?

I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
We are going to set up numerous iPod Touches through apple Configurator and would NOT like it to include the default apple apps when preparing.
