IPhone :: 4s V.5.1 Can't Connect To Macbook Pro Via Usb

I just purchased the new iphone 4s a few weeks ago, and haven't been able to get my Macbook Pro to detact it when I plug the phone into my computer. I've tried multiple usb-to-iphone cords and none of them are working. Neither the computer nor itunes are detecting that a device is plugged in at all.
I've maxed out my photos/videos storage on my phone and have no way to move them from my phone to my computer. I tried communicating to my phone from laptop via bluetooth, but it won't work either (though computer detects phone and vice-versa, the connection isn't successful in the end)
I really want to be able to connect my iphone via usb
My MacBook Pro is OS X Version 10.6.8
Is there a requirement for my macbook to upgrade to another system before it will read my iphone 4? That sounds like a racket to me.

So My iphone wont connect to my macbook computer at all, like it wont even charge or show up or anything. Im trying to connect it to itunes but it doesnt even show up. Ive tried everything My itunes is all up to date and my iphone is all up to date but it just doesnt recognize it. I know it's a problem with my Iphone 5s because I know my USB works and my connector cord works because I connected my ipod touch and it synced and charged perfectly.

I recently bought a Macbook Pro with Retina Display 15'
When I tried to connect my iPhone 5S to it, the phone won't connect and keeps on connecting and disconnecting continuously.
I tried connecting the phone to other Macbook Pro Retinas - The same problem.Â
However, the iPhone connects perfectly to a non-retina Macbook Pro, Windows Laptop, Windows PC, and even the wall plug perfectly.

having trouble getting my BB to connect with my MacBook Pro. Here's what I'm using:
BB OS 5.0.0.900.
BB Desktop Software v.2.1.3
MacBook OS 10.6.8
When I plug in my micro USB to my laptop,the BB icon appears on the desktop but in my BB Desktop Software, it shows that it's not connected.

I can't seem to connect my new Atrix 2 to my Macbook Pro at all.. not even through USB. I am not able to receive an item nor am I able to connect successfully through USB. At first, I just connected my phone through USB and it popped up to install a link but it was only an ".exe" file. I than downloaded Motorola Media Link and there is no connection link. I am on a Macbook Pro 10.6.8 and I have searched through the forum as well but nothing really specific on my issue. I have restarted my Mac and my Atrix 2 but to no avail.

I'm sharing my internet connection from my Macbook pro, and have been connecting with my old Lumia 800 without problems. Today I took the plunge and bought a 920. On my way home, I connected via wifi to McDonalds without any problems. When I arrived home I tried to connect to my Macbook using the correct password, and the 920 gave me a "wrong password" message.I then changed the password on the Macbook to a 40 bit WEP code - still no joy. I've tried rebooting both the Mac and the 920, switching channels on the Mac wifi channel and am now getting peeved, as my old 800 still connects without fail.Occasionally I get the "wrong password" message, other times I get "Unable to join".

Im having trouble using facetime between my IPhone4 and my macbook... When I call from my macbook to my IPhone 4, the call goes through but never connects... (iphone display), while on my mac, the call keeps ringing.On the other hand... when I call from my IPhone4 to my mac... the call drops and displays a message (user busy / not available for facetime). When I use fecetime from my IPhone 4 to call friends either to there IPads, IPhones and macīs, the call goes through with out a problem... the same thing using my mac... Could it be the im trying to use the same user ID between my IPhone and mac?, I have my IPhone for facetime under my cel number, and my mac under my email. (Different User ID)... Why cant I get to work it...

Usually advice relating to updates on either my iPhone or my iTunes. This time though, both are updated. Have checked several times. When I open itunes, which is working fine, currently talking to my Apple TV and playing tunes, showing photos etc etc, but in the devices section there is nothing...?

I recently pruchased my first MAC, a Macbook pro. I hooked up my iphone to sync all the music i have on it and the only thing that will transfer is some of my "purchased" songs. Thats about 150 of 650 songs. I have tried selecting "sync all music automatically" but it tells me by doing this i will replace my iphone library with the computer library meaning i will lose on 500 songs. I had a Dell PC before this and never had trouble. It crashed so i am unable to access itunes from that computer.
