IPhone :: 4s Doesn't Display As A 'device' In ITunes On Mac?
May 26, 2012
My new 4s doesn't display as a "Device" in iTunes on my Mac air - it doesn't seem to recognize it at all. I can't load music, address books, sync in any way??
My iPhone 3G is being recognised perfectly happily by iTunes, but absolutely nothing else. It doesn't appear in Finder and doesn't open iPhoto when I plug it in, so I can back up my photos.
I've tried restarting both the Mac (which is running Snow Leopard) and the iPhone. I've tried several cables. The result is always the same. iTunes spots the iPhone (it did use to automatically open iTunes, but I stopped that) and nothing else. No icon on the desktop, no appearance in Finder and won't show in any searches I do.
How can I fix this, and start backing up photos again?
I recently updated iTunes. The update went smoothly, but immediately after the update iTunes no longer shows my iPhone4. The diagnostics show that everything is okay with exception of the no iPhone connected error. I've run through all of the Apple helps but nothing has fixed the problem. The same problem occurs on other user profiles on the same computer. The computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 shows the iPhone and I can access it as a camera or drive. I've re-installed the phone USB driver but still no go. I can plug my phone into another computer and the sync works fine.
My iphone 6 doesn't display the battery duration and standby in battery settings, and replaces the values with - even if I completely charged my battery last time.
my iphone 3gs keeps showing the screen with the connect to itunes display, and I've restored it multiple times on different computers, but everytime it finishes restoring, it shows the display again and the computer says it needs to be restored. can anybody help me with this?
My iPhone has a broken display screen and I can't connect with my iTunes because it says I have to log into my phone. I can't log into my phone because it is not working. I tried pressing the home button and then acting out the motions of entering my password, but nothing is happening. I have my replacement phone and I'm trying to reset my broken phone, but I can''t do that until I log into iTunes.I am doing this on a PC computer.
I was updating the latest itunes and os on iphone 4s,this failed, and now the phone continues to display the connect usb cable to itunes screen.Tried switching off normally, same screen reappears, tried holding the back button and on/off together, same screen keeps reappearing.Tried disconnectinf the usb cable, from iphone and also the computer, no change, also tried a different usb connection on the computer, no change. Was iOS 5.1, was upgrading iOS
When I connect my phone to my computer it makes a noise but doesn't show the iPhone under my computer it also doesn't charge the iPhone when it is connected to it except for a few seconds when I reboot my laptop. When I search under Device manager there is absolutely nothing there. I was attempting to restore my phone yesterday and couldn't do it on my phone alone nor when plugged into my computer so I restored it to a back up on another computer. Also every other computer I've plugged it into recognizes it right away but none of the other one's are mine please assist I don't want to lose all my app's and music thats stored on this computer and I'm going off to college in the fall.
I had tried to upgrade iOS through itunes and it has got errored out and my mobile has got hanged. It just shows Itunes and the USB connector logo... Itunes not able to recognize the device....
I have set up and used itunes before on this phone. I have restarted comp, upgraded to updated itunes, used various usb ports, and turned phone on and off.
I synced my music to my iPhone through iTunes. On the computer everything looks like it worked. However, when I look on my phone, the music has not synced up.
I just purchased 2 iPhone 4s's for my daughters. iTunes does not recognize them. I have an iPhone 4 and iTunes reccognizes it. I think it has something to do with Windows 7. The iPhone 4 is recognized by one user, but not recognized by iTunes for my daughters accounts/users. Also, neither iPhone 4 is recognized on my account. I have stopped and re-started them and also uninstalled and re-installed iTunes, too no avvail. What do I need to do?
When I plug my iPhone into my Macbook Pro, it vibrates twice and charges, but isnt recognized in iTunes. There is no device that says "Sarahs iPhone" like there used to be. I downloaded the latest iTunes and my phone has the latest software, im not sure what to do.
Itunes recognises an older Ipod Nano so I know Itunes is ok.I have done everything, make sure the apple device interface is "started"Uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. Getting ready to do restore, taken photos off phone, can not work out how to back up without Icloud (all work contacts on phone so can not lose them).
