IPhone :: 4s Application Icon Will Not Recognize Itunes Store
May 24, 2012
my iphone 4s application icon will not recognize Itunes store. Hence, I cannot obtain all the apps out there. I have been to the Apple Store and to Verizon and I just get the run around.
I always put my iTunes Store icon on second home page, but whenever I switch country in App Store with different Apple IDs, it appears on my first home page. It's annoying that i have to move it to my second home page again.
How can I create an icon on the Home Page of my iPhone 4S to directly access my stored iTunes, so I can go right to them instead of to Itunes, then Playlist, then...etc

When i tried to update my phone a message popped up saying it had failed. now my iphones screen just tells me to plug into itunes. i tried resetting and that didnt even work. itunes wont recognize my iphone either
So I come home today to see four emails from PayPal from the four payments that have been made using my App Store account, totaling $449.95. I call Apple immediately and after being on hold for nearly 50 minutes with them trying to figure this out, I'm told my App Store account is going to be closed and that they cannot reverse the charges, so I need to file a dispute with my bank (or in my case, PayPal).
I called PayPal and they did not sound very confident in me getting my money back and said Apple should be the one reversing the charges. They guided me through filing a dispute on the charges and said that is the best they can do.
Am I screwed out of my money? Here is a screenshot of what the charges were made for (there is another $49.99 charge that is not showing up here, but appears in my PayPal account history):
I never downloaded or purchased "Zynga Live Poker", nor did I buy any of the credits for the game.
I followed the unlocked instruction from AT&T to restore my 3GS iPhone from factory settings. After completing restoring, follow the steps to set up the phone and stuck at activation screen. I inserted AT&T SIM card and connected to iTune but still failed to activate with following error message on iTune: "There is no SIM card installed in the iphone you are attempting to activate. Please disconnect and insert a SIM card in the iPhone." I have retry several times (including disconnect and reinsert the sim) but no luck.
I've just connected my iPhone to my laptop with USB cable to sync / update but it wont recognise it (doewsnt come up in devices)
Have done all the troubleshooting stuff on Apple website (the usual turn on / turn off iphone, restart computer, uninstall and reinstall itunes) but no luck.
The US cable seems t be fine as its charging the phone while connected.
I have iPhone 3G with IOS 3.1.3. My Windows 7 computer recognized the iPhone in My Computer but iTunes does not.I went through to reinstall iTunes and still does not help.
I just bought a new Iphone and synced it to my Itunes account. But I forgot to sync my old Iphone one last time. So there are songs on my old Iphone that weren't synced to Itunes. Now my new Iphone, which I synced to Itunes, doesn't have at least 20 or so songs that are on my old phone. I tried syncing my old phone to Itunes but it won't even recognize it or show up in Itunes. Can I sync my old phone to Itunes if I've already synced my new one?
I had an iPhone 4 but sent it in to get serviced, so I'm using a 3GS backup. I tried to back up my 4 before I sent it in, but iTunes or iPhoto wouldn't recognize my phone. Sent it in aways and i'm having the same trouble with my 3GS. Since I'll have a new phone in less than a week I just want to transfer my contacts and messages, just the basics. I made sure I have the most updated version of iTunes and the current OS.
my iPhone 4S cannot be recognized by iTunes, in fact not even as a removable drive in any of the PC's i have access to. What can I do? I read somewhere else that I should restore my iPhone, but if iTunes can't recognize it how can I do so? Not long ago, I had another issue is it could not go off, whenever i tried so, it restarted instead of turning off.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, iTunes can't recognize it
I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1 last night and I noticed today that my phone is not recognized anymore by iTunes. It does show up in My Computer, and it will charge via USB port as well. I have already uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes multiple times. Someone posted on a blog that this happened to them and they restored their phone again by putting it into DFU mode, so I attempted this with no success. This ended up getting me to the point where I would get iTunes' error #1611 every time I tried to restore. For some reason (after multiple iTunes reinstalls), I was able to get my phone back up and working with iOS 5.1.1 again. However, this time my software seems to work the same except for the fact that my texts are green once again. It still will not be recognized by iTunes. I have checked that my Mobile Device service is started, running, and set to Automatic. For now, at least my phone is running again.

I bought an iPhone 3G from someone the other day, and I went to Settings>Delete all contents or whatever it's called. While it was recovering/deleting stuff, I decided I would just put it into recovery mode and connect it to iTunes to restore it. The problem is, my computer/iTunes won't recognize the phone, and it won't go into DFU mode. I am on a Mac because my computer broke, and I don't know much about Mac's so maybe there is a way to get the phone to be recognized? The phone is on 3.1.2 and the computer has the newest iTunes version.
I was trying to jailbreak it with blackra1n as well, and blackra1n won't recognize the phone either.
This one was a 3GS. I changed for a 4. That doesn't matter.
I have a Macbookpro (OS 10.6.8).
Itunes is updated. And IOS too.
Three curious things : iPhoto works with the iPhoneif I reinstall OS to 10.6.3, it worksbut in this case, the appleApps in iTunes are in grey : not accessible
I recently updated to iTunes 10.6 and now iTunes and computer will not recognize iPhone. Tried going to a different computer (with 10.6) and it will not be recognized on it either. It will charge.Tried hard reset on phone. Tried un-installing and re-installing iTunes. Went to Device Manager...cannot find anything for Apple.
