my iPhone 4 is not recognizing the charger when I plug it into the bottom of the phone - therefore, I cannot charge it. How did you go about resolving it and what sort of cost is involved to get it fixed?
Info:
Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.0.x), Migration Assistant
My iphone 4 has died as normal and it will not recognise any charge whatsoever, i have had the handset nearly 2 years so my contract is nearly up but i still would like it to last out a few more months, is there anything i can do to fix it, i have tried numerous chargers !
I recently had to get a Nokia E7 as a replacement to my N900 which died and no longer stocked. My E7 has worked fine until recently, when I took it to a trip (keeping it within the UK) when I noticed it would not charge properly. It would say my charger (the wall charger which came with it, not the USB data cable) was a USB device it could not recognize! After great effort, I can get it to charge eventually, sometimes with it playing nice, sometimes it'll still say it doesn't recognize the USB device but charges (the charger plugged to the wall). This can happen both after an empty battery and when trying to charge it while there is still some charge in the phone.
I just picked up the iPhone 3gs on Monday and have two questions that. Forgot to find out before I got the phone. I bought a white iPhone 3gs and wanted to know is the phone still plagued with overheating and discoloration problems? Second question I am wondering if I buy a mophie juice pack air a coupple of months would that negatively affect my battery on the iPhone. What I mean by this is I heard that aged four hundred complete charges and draining of the iPhone battery the phones battery only holds 80% of the charge it use to. My question is does using a charger help increase time it takes the iphont to reach 400 chargeres quicker than it would if I did not use the charger?
I've gone through the steps of checking if I have the latest iTunes, (I do), restarting iPhone, restarting iMac, and still don't see it come up on my desktop. Have just purchased "Phone to Mac" to try get easier access to photos and tunes on my phone, but even that doesn't recognise that my iPhone is plugged in (directly from the usb on my mac).
I just installed iTunes 10.6 and my computer (windows 7) no longer recognizes my iPhone 4. I've restarted both and uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes, but it's still not working.
I recently exchanged an iphone 3gs from apple and I got a brand new unlocked one. The problem is that it's not working in Nepal. Over here in Uk it runs all the sims like vodafone, 3, orange....but it doesn't recognize any sims in Nepal. nepal is GSM based.
i just bought a total new cyberpower pc. and last week i just replaced my iphone 4s. apparently when i first connect it to a mac pc and then afterwards all pc i connect it to, wouldn't recognize it.. i dont own a mac so therefore i want it connected to my cyberpower pc!
i called and talk to those apple support ppl and they cant do a darn thing!
This only started happening recently, but I don't know what changed - the last update I recall to my phone was an update to the carrier settings. For some reason, however, the messages app on my phone no longer matches message senders up to contacts in my address book. Aside from the visual implications (who does that number belong to again?), I had assigned different tones to different people. Now that SMS is no longer matching up to my address book, everyone gets the same generic tone. I have tried deleting contacts and re-entering them from the SMS screen, but that didn't seem to make a difference. The same problem occurs even when I send a SMS from the address book - the SMS is only identified by number, and is not matched up to the address book entry.
I am running a fully updated unlocked iPhone 4S (5.1).
my dad got my an iphone for christmas and he wanted me to use my virgin sim card in it so i had to jailbreak it and unlock it so i did and it was working perfectly fine until one night. I was watching tv on my phone and decided to go to sleep the phone had 33% battery left so i thought ok it should last the whole night when i woke up the next morning my phone died on me. I tried putting it on charge and turned it back on but to shut itself down for some reason even thought the battery by then was roughly 50% so i tried restoring everything back to original software and now it wont recognise the original orange sim card it came with when i got my phone. I have also tried using an virgin simcard just in case and also used an 02 simcard aswell for good measures but nothing all i get is
"There is no SIM card installed in the phone you are attempting to activate. Please dissconect and insert a SIM card into the iPhone"
My iphone use to automatically pop up when i plugged it into my PC but now itunes isn't picking it up but it does register my other iproducts such as ipod, and ipad how can i fix this issue?
last time i synced, itunes said i needed to update my software. i updated it. now i want to download some photos to my pc and whn i plug it in, it says it does not recognize the device. i restarted the computer and i turned off and on my phone. still not recognizing it.
iTune is not recognizing my iPhone 4S after Apple store replaced my old phone with New phone. Every other iPhone and iPad recognised by ITune but not this one.
I recently purchased a new computer & it is not recognizing my phone. I'm afraid I'll lose all of my apps, music, pictures, etc... I've uninstalled iTunes & reinstalled & nothing is working.
my 3GS phone is displaying connect to iTunes message.how do i troubleshoot this? I tried connecting to my laptop and it is not recognizing the phone.tried restore and it didn't work.
Before you guys attack me, yes I have searched the forum for an answer but everything ive read were back in 2007 with FW 1.xim on a 3gs and iphoto and image capture doesn't recognize my iphone. are there any fixes for this, please! I have some very meaningful pix that i would like to transfer over w/o restoring the phone. (or email to myself)
I just got a new macbook pro and I have mostly made it similar to my old mac (I did it manually cause I didn't want to copy every little thing from the old mac so I didn't use migration assistance except for the applications).Anyways, I even took my old itunes folder from my old computer and replaced it over the current itunes folder. So that made itunes show up exactly like it did on my old computer (kept my playlists that told me when I added a song).
Problem: I just connected my iphone right now just to see what would happen (like would it wipe it clean, look at it as a guest iphone, be able to recognize it).Except, the iphone doesn't recognize it is plugged into a computer (it starts charging but doesn't say syncing or anything) and itunes acts like nothing got plugged in at all. They totally are not making any recognition that they are connected (The iphone is treating the laptop like a plug in the wall charger basically).
How do I get itunes to recognize there is an iphone connected to it?
I just want to add if it helps, I just tried my ipod (though I haven't synced the ipod in a while) and it recognizes it (and it does not recognize it as a new ipod but as what I named it and everything). And my old computer recognizes my iphone fine.
My iMac is not recognizing my iPhone on the desktop, however iTunes sees it when I open it up. Why won't my iPhone appear on my desktop? And I have already marked the CDs, DVDs, and iPods in the preferences of what appears on your desktop.
recently tried to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS baseband 5.16.05 with iPad baseband 6.15I did shift restore with ipsw and got stuck on a restoring screen then did a force reset and got to a recovery mode screen. restored with iTunes, won't activate with sim
I recently tried to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS baseband 5.16.05 with iPad baseband 6.15.00 using sn0wbreeze ISPW, I did a shift+restore on iTunes and the iPhone got stuck on a restoring screen (with the little bar.) I did a force reset and then the iPhone went into recovery mode I restored with iTunes (and no other software) but after I was done restoring it wouldn't activate because it said the Activation Server was busy. It's been "busy" all day and prior to the unlock I was able to activate and use the non-cellular features of the phone with my friend's old expired AT&T sim card (it would say "No Service" at the top),but now neither that, the Tmobile SIM I want to use or no sim is recognized. I tried DFU mode and it doesn't work either. Have I officially broken the phone? Is there a way that I can use my favorite phone with safari and the camera and everything else again and hopefully on TMOBILE prepaid?
I have cleaned the ports of any foreign debris I have read the posts on turning on and off Airplane mode +++++I have reset the phone and used three different cables from lab top and from wall.It was charging intermittently but refuses to charge now ?
I recently purchased a slightly used late model Mac Air Book. I migrated files from my Pro via the Migration Assistant. A notification said the transfer was successful. When I went to use the Air, a pop up sign in window came up asking me for my password. Upon putting it in several hundred times, I had to give up. I could not get into my new Air. Its not recognizing my password which works fine on my Pro. Is there any way I can get past this sign in to reset my password or correct the situation?
