IPhone :: 3GS - Get An "unlock Code" - How To Type It In

My friend upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4. I'm looking to buy his old phone and use it on my T-Mobile account. (Currently I'm using a BlackBerry) The "kid" at T-Mobile said all I have to do is get an "unlock code" from AT&T (my friend's carrier) and then everything will be OK.
But what do I do once I get the code? Where/how do I type it in? Will I be prompted on a "Reset"? Also, if he has his Apple ID on the Apps and stuff, can I assume hat if I reset the phone, it becomes "mine"?
I understand that I'll be limited to 2G for the time being as TMobile will upgrade to 3G for iPhones later this year. (According to the "kid"). Anything else I need to know/do in order to get the phone working? I may not even get a data plan until 3G is activated on T-Mobile.
I've recently moved from Orange to O2 and my iPhone 3GS doesn't recognise the new O2 SIM card. Orange told me that they would send me an unlock code from Apple a month ago. Talked to Orange today and they say I need to get it from O2 but O2 say that's not the case.
when i turn on my blackberry bold 9900 i cannot type my pin code, because the keyboard is not working.i tried to touch and it's completely stuck...the only thing i can do is to turn on/off the phone on that key.
I have the 8 digit network unlock code for my Atrix2, but when new carrier sim card is inserted it doesn't say sim not provisioned, and doesn't provide text box to enter code.Instead it gives me phone and text service but not mms enternet
I do not know what I touched and the voice control took over everything I touched was 'read' to me by the voice and I can't type the numbers to unlock my phone(screen).
My friend gave me an iphone 3gs but I am with a different network provider. Will apple give me an unlock code directly as I did not purchase the iphone from my network provider?
I have waited 10 days now for o2 to give me the code for unblocking my phone, as I have moved to vodafone. my questions is---does an e mail come from apple? or is it a text or e mail from o2. they (o2) have told me 3 different things. 10 days is crazy !!
My 4 digit unlock code will not work and now the phone is disabled until I sync with iTunes, but when I plug the phone into my Mac it will not sync. I don't want to restore and lose all of my contacts?
so i just downloaded berrybuzz trail from a ota because appworld doesnt work in my country and i downloaded the playboy irish animated theme and i did a reboot because it said some stuff might nto work untill it does so i did but now it wont let me unlock it :s i can c that the alt keyt and caps work cause when i clcik them it shows that symbole at the top right but i press the unlock bottom nothing try to type my pass nothing doesnt even say pop up the box that says emergency call unlock etc. i also just upgraded to the newest offical OS
I just bought this C3-01 touch and type phone and it got big issue of locking/unlocking key pad..phone gets locked and even if I click on key-lock button and then click unlock (on touch screen) then it never gets unlocked.
I bought a Blackberry Torch a few weeks ago, my carrier is AT&T. I got this phone because I needed a phone that would work in Germany, the United States, and South Korea; I am studying abroad this year and need a phone. My intention was to buy new SIM cards in each country, as this would be cheaper than roaming and more practical than buying disposable phones. AT&T agreed to give me instructions to unlock my phone and an unlock code.Today, I called AT&T, who plugged my IMEI number into their database. However, they could not acquire my unlock code and acknowledged that another person with a Blackberry Torch had the same problem a few hours ago. They reassured me that the Blackberry Torch is unlockable, but had no idea how to help me further. When I tried to call Blackberry, they asked me for a carrier code, which I didn't have and AT&T knew nothing about.
Basically I want to be able to fully use my blackberry tour in Colombia, but again sprint would not unlock my phone. I heard I can get it unlocked with a code or get it flashed and release the pin. I really dont know what all that means lol so can someone guide me in the correct path to do all this? like what do I need to first, and when do i need to do it and by this I mean if I should do it before cancelling my services or after?
I have a N85 device which is locked only for Orange IL sim card. I called my operator support and center and they provided a SIM UNLOCK code which didn't unlocked my device. They said that there must be a problem with my device and it can't be unlocked.
My question is : Is it possible that I can't unlock my device ?
Just to make things clear I didn't use a hacked key from the web, I called Orange IL support center and they provided the unlock code ( I had to pay for that code).
Ok i dont get this. i just got off the phone with at&t to unlock my 9700 so my bro can use my phone and use a prepaid chip while on vacation. they told me that the phone does not me requirements to unlock the phone.WTF is that suppose to mean?? ok how do i meet the requirements lol
