I bought a new HTC ONE M8 and I can't send any gifs to my friends because they don't play for them, and I've tried Google hangout in which I can see the gif I sent playing and the gif they sent playing but on their phone they don't see my gifs playing.
I am totally confused about sending gifs to non-android phones. I have sent gifs to 2 diff people both with iphone4, one can get my gifs animated and one just gets it as a still, same freakin phone. so its gotta be a setting thing.
My newly acquired Z5 compact wont play videos anymore. Youtube works fine, but videos sent to me on facebook messenger and videos online wont work (GIFs etc.)
With the photo improvements, know if iOS 8 will natively show animated GIFs? I know on iOS 7, it will store them fine, but to view the animation you have to "pretend" you're going to send them in a Message or an Email.Â
What is the deal with animated GIFs via iMessages on the iPhone? Does it work? Is it supposed to? Are there any limitations? I tried sending an animated gif to a friend. Both of us are using an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1. On my end, I see the animation playing on the iMessages app. On her end she just receives a still frame. Why?
I tried it two different ways. First I tried it by simply copying the image from Safari and pasting it into the message. Then I tried it by saving the image to my camera roll and adding it to the message that way. Neither worked. Both times I could see the animation on my end, but the recipient only saw a still image.
I have a Windows 7 PC with a folder full of .gifs. When I go to sync them onto my iPhone 6, they won't work when I try to send them via iMessage. Did they change it so you can't send it anymore or is there a specific way?
My phone is trying to send an email that it can't send. The message is in the Outbox. I would like to delete the message but as long as the message is trying to send it, I am unable to. Is there any way to tell it to stop sending so that I can delete it?

My phone has a defect. I can not access data. all I am able to do is send messages and place calls. My service provider even did a hard reset and still the phone has no internet.
I'm extremely irritated at this point, because it's been one thing after the other with my phone. It has more problems than my BMW. The phone's gotten better, but this is still a problem.
I use Verizon Message+ for texting, and my phone says "failed" every time I try to send a picture message. It's really annoying, and from what I can tell, it's a fairly common problem with LG phones on Verizon.
I've tried resetting the app and changing settings, but nothing seems to work.

My blackberry bold 9700 cannot send SMS to any number, it can only receive SMS. Email and other online services are working well. I have checked the message center and it's correct. This problem started 3 days ago. Before that, SMS is working fine. I haven't done anything special 3 days ago, and really clueless about this. Early this day, I tried to put my sim card to other phone, and it can send SMS. Put it back to my bb 9700 and this problem started again. Any solution for this problem guys? I'm using OS 5.0.0.442
I can send emails from my AOL acount with no problem. I am connected to my work Enterprise Exchange Server. I can receive emails to my phone from the server, but I cannot get any emails to send from my phone. They are not leaving my phone at all. I have pulled the battery, I have tried resetting to factory settings, is there something else I need to try?
I am receiving an error message when I attempt to sms which reads: Invalid mandatory information. I am able to receive text messages, e-mails and BBM, I just can't send SMS.
I don't think the messenger app can be disabled in any android because (from what i've heard) it's the backend for 3rd party messenger apps. If you disable it, chomp and handcent etc wouldn't work either.
If you've disabled notifications in stock messenger app then i can't think why you should still be getting them. I'm using chomp too and i have my notifications switched off in stock, so i'm only getting notifications from chomp.
I guess it must be network related Since you can't disable the stock messaging app that comes on the LG G3, you have to treat it as part of a 3rd party app i.e.: Textra. If you're having problems sending MMS pictures with Textra on the LG G3:
First make the stock messaging app your default app then in the stock messaging app, go into SETTINGS>NOTIFICATION SETTINGS>uncheck the NOTIFICATIONS - Display new message notifications box. Go back to Textra and make it your default messaging app when it asks you and it will now send pictures!
I was sending an sms to a short code just now (the 5-digit codes used by bank and etc). The device prompted me that the sms may incur additional charges and asked me whether I allow that. I accidentally touched "never allow" and "don't ask me again" (these two came after another in a row), but I wanted to send the messages. I tried to search settings and messaging settings but I cannot find anything that let me allow sending the messages to short codes again. When I Googled my problems, the results I found are mainly on Samsung orz. Samsung has an application manager to adjust the setting, but I can't find it on sony.
I send a text to someone and they reply saying they're confused as to what I'm talking about... The text is exactly how I've wrote it on my device but when they send me back what they've received its half of the correct text and half of an old one?
I select a bunch of photos, and cannot send thru my main email, which is verizon. Yet when I select GMAIL to send the photos, it goes right thru. How can I fix this.
The power button started to become unresponsive to turning the screen on and off. To begin with, it was intermittent. It was a bit of a nuisance mainly because I could not turn the screen off, but enough pushing and it worked. A double tap turns it on, so not real issue there. But as time has gone on, the problem has now reached a stage where its simply unresponsive, and I have had to change the time out for battery. I called HTC and they suggested I start in safe mode. This seemed to work. I had no issues with it, so I began to think it was an app conflict.
So I booted my phone as per usual, and began rolling back my apps. Eventually, the button became useless. It simply failed to respond, at all. I did a full factory reset, a full restore. No difference. Reset again without the restore (factory apps only), still no change. Now, the button must work because oddly enough, if I push the power button and the volume down button, it wakes up. In all, solution maybe something I have inadvertently done has changed the way the hardware is responding, I dont know. It will be better than returning it, going without it when HTC will likely replace it anyway. Other than this issue, I find it to be a great phone. Slightly better than the M7.
