View 6 Replies View RelatedI really wish the Photon would display the actual time when an incoming text was sent rather than the time the phone received it. For instance, someone sends me a text at 3am while my phone is turned off. Then at 8am I turn it back on and received the text. But I have no idea what time the text was actually sent because it will be marked as 8am. With previous phones I had it would always show the actual time it was sent. Is this a bug or are all android phones like this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was texting with someone earlier today, I sent a text at 4:31 pm and they immediately responded but their text message was time stamped at 11:32 am.For some reason all of the texts I receive are time stamped as 5 hours earlier. The people I'm texting with are located in my same timezone, and the timezone is correct in the settings of my phone. It's set to automatic but I switched to manual and checked to see that the correct timezone was selected.

Thanks,

I was interested in getting a Milestone, but before I do, I was wondering if there are any issues with the SMS time stamps when you receive a new SMS message? I had an HTC Hero before (I'm on Rogers network) and it would always be off by 3 hours and I couldn't find a resolution for it.

isn't there a way to include the time of missed calls on my BB8900?It is logging incoming/outgoing/missed calls correctly, but no time stamp on any...I think it is important, particularly for a business oriented phone, to include the time of each call was made/received/missed. Is there a setting I'm missing?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first Blackberry question. I have 9700 on T-Mobil service. The time stamp on my voice mail and visual voice mail is incorrect, Its off by more than 3 hours. How can I correct this?
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhy the dates and times I see on text messages are stamped with current time (i.e. time that message is downloaded/read) rather than the time actually sent....? Can't see the point in this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had the Storm and along with the automatic date and time stamp, I used to be able to name a picture I took . It's disappointing that I can't do this with an iPhone. It's a very convenient feature for my job. Are there plans to add this feature? Are there any apps that will do this. It's frustrating to have this great phone and not be able to do something so simple and convenient.

In the past week, my D4 has been putting incorrect time stamps on incoming text messages when using certain non-stock text messaging apps. All received texts (regardless of sender) are stamped 4 hours earlier than when they were actually sent. Makes threaded messaging a real pain.
Stock text message app is fine, as is Handcent. The problem seems to be isolated to GO SMS Pro (my preferred SMS app) and ICS Messaging (stock ICS-like). I have uninstalled both and reinstalled with no change.
I just noticed something odd when pulling down my notification bar, it states that a voicemail I received yesterday was received on 12/31/69. The date and time are correct on the device everywhere else. I've pulled the battery and rebooted to the same thing. I guess it's not a huge issue, but just curious as to what causes this. For the record:
System version: Version.2.3.20.A955.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 2.2
I have an Sony Ericsson Elm phone. I use the camera a lot, and I miss the date+time stamp on the pictures. I have searched the menu, and the user manual. Could anyone tell me either of this two: Is it not possible to get a date+time stamp on the pictures? If it is possible, how do I do it?

My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
Windows 7 seems to take ages to start using the phone's connection, after you change the connection type. The internet and sharing center thing hangs for like ten minutes, then it connects.Ubuntu doesn't seem to suffer from this problem.
View 2 Replies View Relatedfor some reason my Hero isn't receiving text messages. I have updated the PRL, Profile, and checked for firmware updates.. no luck. Do you think it possibly needs to be reprogramed? This is the second odd thing that has happened with my phone. First was it resetting itself back to the theme, and layout I had a week prior. I woke up and everything was changed back like someone did it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to get voice to text on the Hero 2.1? Under settings, there is something that says "text to speech" but I don't know how to get it to work. Also a major problem I have is that you can't jump through the address book/people by selecting a letter, you have to manually scroll through the entire address book to get to a phone number or contact that you want. Do anyone know a way around this?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I click from either the "Notification" screen, or the Text Message List, I am directed to the wrong text messaging thread. This doesn't happen every time, it happens every day, and multiple times, however. Usually, when I reboot the phone, the problem is gone...momentarily.
It seems to happen with random messages. I use Universal Inbox and currently see message from text, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and my AT&T mail.
If I use the stock Text Messaging app, I can open the list of messages and see whatever I can from the preview there, but when I click to open the thread, it will open a totally random message thread. Weird. I'm not that into text messaging, but it does annoy me when I need to use it and I can't open individual messages because the wrong ones are appearing.
I don't know if this is a device problem, a software/app problem, an AT&T messaging problem or what. I'm somewhat ignorant about smartphones and have only had this Atrix 2 for about three months.
Every text i'm getting is coming in saying it was received at 2.22 on Sat 3 Oct 2043! I know it's only a small thing but it's driving me mad!
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe clock on the htc widget was showing the wrong time despite it was properly set up. It seems it's showing the UTC time instead of local.
The clock on the top status bar on the other hand was spot on correct.
Example :
SMS1 # - Receive SMS : Timestamp : 01 June 2011
SMS2 # - Receive SMS : Timestamp : 10 Augs 2011
BB Set unexpected to 30 July 2043 (my user say that she reboot the BB) -just keep mind this is unexpected happen
SMS3 # - Receive SMS : Timestamp : 25 Oct 2011
BB Set to normal time again, with 2011.
SMS4 # - Receive SMS : Timestamp : 26 Oct 2011
But,still on the groping time on 30 July 2043. Why that can happen group even i already fix the time on BB ?Can we,make it sms become single draft again not group anymore? I find this artikel say :To determine the Sent date in the message on the smartphone, the BlackBerry Device Software searches the message in the user's inbox for dates in the following order:PostedDateDeliveredDateCreatedDateThe date that is found first is displayed as the Sent date in the message on the smartphone.( If CreateDate = time on the smartphone, then the date will determine group by this sorting for earliest time by that order ). is that right?
First example, last night I changed my alarm from 7:00am to go off at 6:00am. I woke up at 6:50 without any alarm. Then in my scramble to get ready, my alarm goes off at 7:04am??? I'm completely baffled as to why this happened. This hasn't been my first problem with the alarm either. I've had times where my alarm just hasn't gone off at all and made me late for class. Everytime the night before, I'd make sure the volume was on max, and it wasn't on silent mode. This is a serious problem and if I had a job, I know I couldn't rely on my phone to go off at the proper time.

I have an iPhone 4S, updated to current iOS, that is stuck in the wrong time zone. I recently took a trip out to Southern CA, so the time zone on my phone changed to match the area. Nothing unusual there. Upon my return to the east coast, the time zone for the phone did change -- in Settings it shows this, but when I look at the calendar, everything is still displaying as if I am still on the west coast. However, when I go into any event, the initial info screen shows PST time settings, if I go into EDIT mode, the correct EST setting is there.
I've restored more times than should be necessary to no avail. I've tried to go back another version of iOS, but that doesn't work (yes, I've tried all the available tools for jailbreaking, and none work).

Has anyone else had issues with the Lumia 920 showing the wrong date and time? I entered both manually when I first set up the phone as the automatic setting did not work. After a couple days I noticed that the date had changed to 1st Sep 2012 and the time was a couple of hours out. I corrected but again a couple of days later the clock is a couple of hours slow and the date was 3 weeks out. I then changed the settings to "automatic" turned the phone off and on again and the date is a week behind and the time is 3 hours fast.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night my BB had a bit of a "moment" whereby for some strange reason, it changed the time and date of it's own accord to a future date in September, so my Twitter was showing tweets as "61 days ago" and my email was arriving with a future date showing.
It's back to normal now, (again, of it's own accord) apart from my emails - the ones I received are still showing as September which is rather annoying as I now have to scroll down to read new emails. Is there any way of changing the received date on them? I can't seem to find any option to do so. I know I could delete them but I kinda need them saved for now! Why did my BB do this in the first place?
Nokia Lumia 1020 shows wrong date and time after reboot. The real time and date are 09.12 on 5 Feb 2014. After rebooting my phone showed 12.36 on 20 July. Shut down and restarted and now shows 14.32 on 25 Jan.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, the phone's clock started showing a time that was offset by two hours for my local time.
I deselected automatic time zone and auto date/time and set them manually. If I return it to automatic, it will show my precise location but the timezone and local time would be offset by two hours (earlier, not later).
Currently, I have auto date/time and selected my time zone automatically. It shows the right date and time but the screen showing my current position still shows the clock two hours behind.
