Google Nexus 5 :: How To Show Battery Percentage
Dec 24, 2013How can I permanently know battery's percentage?
View 24 RepliesHow can I permanently know battery's percentage?
View 24 RepliesIs there any way to show battery percentage instead of just the battery icon without having to root or do all kinds of things? Is that option build into the system?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having a very frustrated issue with my Nexus 5 d820. The battery indicator suddenly started to stuck -for days- on random numbers like 93%, 88% but most of the time it's stuck on 100%. It does recognizes that I'm charging, but the values aren't changing.
Things I've tried:
Complete drain, complete charge.
Replacing the Battery.
Wipe to Factory / Wipe Cache
Install a brand new rom using fastboot
Install TWRP, Root
Replace the kernel to elementalx
What else can it be? is there an hardware part which is in charge of the battery indicator which I can replace?
With the Nexus 6, is there not a way to permanently display the battery percentage in the top right? I know that one can drag the notification slide down to reveal it, but I'd rather have it up there permanently.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen the battery charging percentage while charging with the phone being switched off since I flashed code blue kernel. You know the white battery icon that shows when the phone is turned off but is charging? I don't see the 'blue' battery percentage text on that anymore. I flashed the factory images afterwards to see if that fixes it, but it didn't. Not a big deal but is definitely and odd quirk.

View 4 Replies View RelatedToday I tried to sideload the OTA update to Android 5.0.1 (because my Nexus is root and it would not let me update normally), but there was an error saying missing file in system.img. So, after that, I got stuck at Google logo screen. I entered stock recovery (I never installed a custom recovery) and wiped cache, with no luck. Did a data wipe. No luck. So I tried flashing the factory image for Android 5.0, but right after flashing the bootloader, the device turned off (or it appeared to), the script showed "waiting for device", and the phone never came back. Now it won't turn on at all. I don't know what to do ...
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way or any app that will display the battery level as a percentage? I've installed battery watch but I need to open the app in order to see the info. Also is there any apps that turn off the shutter sound?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I was playing around with the iPhone 4 at the Apple Store I noticed that next to the battery level icon it read "100%", seemingly indicating the exact percantage of how much juice is left in the battery. However, it's not showing up on mine. Is there a setting I need to toggle or something?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 6 just went funny. It will not show the batter percentage anymore and the alerts are coming through vibrating even when I have switched them off.Â

Can set battery percentage (no root) on the nexus 6p (googlefi)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter switching to a custom rom from Stock my battery count haven't been the same, not talking about drain here. The Battery percentage indicator is degrading 2% at each time instead of 1% in normal situations. What should be done to bring back the correct battery calculations?
View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday I did an update to several programs including Google and noticed major battery drain. I was not sure which program did it but checked Battery in Settings and saw it was the screen causing the drain. Apparently when the Google program updated, it changed the setting for automatic brightness adjustment to ON. I turned it off and the battery is fine. I keep brightness set to about one quarter to one third brightness. I think the battery life is great and I can easily get thru the day.
View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since the android 6 update I have noticed that Google play services is always top of my battery drain stats.
Also the mobile radio active figure is always going up and up!
I do have a android wear device synced but I always have and never noticed this is lollipop.
What could be causing this? I don't have Google now or location services on ...
Noticed that Google Play Services battery optimization is grayed out and I can't turn in on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNexus 5, 16GB, MRA58N (stock, not rooted). Sometimes the power percentages shown for each process in the battery monitor do not add up to the total battery drain? I am finding that sometimes they add up to within 1% of the total shown.... and sometimes they are WAY off with as much as 30% of the displayed battery drain unaccounted for. Since I don''t have access to the battery terminals, I can't determine independently whether the percentages shown are simply inaccurate, or whether there are missing processes (ie., processes not shown at all in the battery monitor).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've heard marshmallow detects whether your phone is fast charging or not. I use the stock Motorola turbocharger on android 6.0.1 and it charges very fast but shouldn't the charging lockscreen display "charging rapidly" like on some other fast charge phones?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Google Nexus 5 (over a yr old and out of warranty).
I was/am facing the dreaded boot loop issue and decided to reset my phone. Now, neither has the original problem stopped and im facing a bigger issue.
The phone now tells me that I have insufficient space for any apps. I don't have a single app downloaded on my phone and am also unable to update the software. The software requires 24MB to update & in my storage, it shows that i have over 400MB of available space.
Not only that, my phone's total space is 12.5GB and the break up in storage is such:
available = 468MB, Apps= 298MB,
Photos=24KB,
Audio=204KB,
Downloads = 8KB,
Cached data=698KB.
I have cleared the cache of all the in built apps as well. I am unable to install ANY apps
So I downloaded and installed HTC music player port and walkman port on my N5 5.1.1 but after the reboot the apps ( music & walkman ) won't show up in menu :3

I just got nexus 6 and installed yahoo mail app. On my old Samsung s3 I always received notification from the app that I got mail. Recently updated to android 6.0 and installed the app. No notifications. Played with the settings...nothing. today I have notification from the app that I have mail from Netflix. But if I send a mail no notifications.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since the last hangouts update whenever I'm in a convo it no longer shows when the other participant is typing to me or when they are looking at the convo. Instead the profile pic that shows what they last read up to always shows gray like they don't have the convo open and when the person actually replies it just pops up with no typing notification. Same thing with my finance's nexus 4.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can no longer expand the notifications in Hangouts to see that I have multiple messages from someone. I can only see the last one. It used to not be this way.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Google Nexus 5 running Android 5.0.1 and have recently noticed that the time assigned to pictures taken with my phone are all time-stamped five hours later than when the pictures were actually taken. By time stamped I mean the time shown when I pull up the picture's details.
Given that it's exactly five hours off it seems to me that it's probably a time-zone issue. However, I've checked the settings on my phone under Settings/Date & Time and although both the date and time are set to Automatic Date & Time and Automatic Time Zone, the grayed out text below are showing the correct date, time and time zone. This makes sense since my phone displays the correct date and time across the board except for the photo details.Is this something that can be fixed by adjusting some settings I'm not aware of?
Why doesn't my Nexus 6 show the enable wireless display? Lollipop 6 ....
View 1 Replies View RelatedThere is a similar post entitled " PC recognizes Nexus but then I can't access my storage". None of the solutions offered seem to apply to my situation. This is a new problem for me as I have previously had no difficulty connecting to my PC transferring files, especially music files.
Windows 7 on PC, Android 6 on Nexus 5. I am not rooted.
One solution mentioned in the other similar post said to go to:
Settings|Storage and USB|3dots| Menu in the Upper R Corner| USB Computer Connection is MTP
When I click on the 3 dots all I see is the option for "help and feedback". Not useful.
Accessing the device manager on the PC shows the Nexus 5 under portable devices. Clicking to update drivers shows the drivers are up to date.
Looking at "Devices and Printers" shows 2 Nexus 5 icons. One is described as a portable media player. Clicking on it brings up the blank page. The other icon under properties lists the device as a phone. Double clicking on the icon brings up Bluetooth operations which shows PC<->BT<->Nexus 5. I currently have Bluetooth turned off on the Nexus 5.
I'm going from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 6. I never thought it would be so different! On the GS3, certain icons would show "event counters" or whatever they're called in the top right corner. The email icon would show me how many unread emails I had. The Text Messaging app would show me how many unread texts i had. Facebook would show me how many unread notifications I had, etc etc... They were all the same, a number in a little orange bubble in the top right corner of each respective icon.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to enable the dial pad to show up instead of favorites when you click the telephone icon?
All of my other android phones I could either dial by name as in spell it out using the alpha buttons or if I wanted to call my wife and her number is ie. 614-555-5555 I could dial 0067 on the pad and it was the only number with that combo and pop her name up. Now I have to dial 6145555 and it pops her name up. Is there a way to change this??
I came from a Moto RZR Maxx, went to the Samsung s6 (dialer worked great but no data and voice at the same time) Now to the nexus6...
My profile picture doesn't show up in the settings menu of Hangouts, Inbox, Gmail or Google Now. This is the case on both my Nexus 5 and my Nexus 7 (2013).
