Feb 29, 2012Often make my own ringtones using Garageband on my Mac. Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...

Mar 23, 2011I can't get the default email client to behave like a pop3 client. Apart from some small bugs, like if inbox is empty you can't get to your sent folder, I can send and receive emails properly. However, I can't find a normal pop3 setting Leave mail on server. Which means it will download all new messages from the server, and nothing else.Now it more or less behaves like a mapi client and syncs against the server and removes all messages from the inbox that I have deleted from the server. But I want to have the messages on the phone until I delete them.Any email program out there that I can use on the Nokia E7 that can be used as a normal pop3 client? Apart from this email problem I would say that Nokia E7 is the best phone I have had so far. If I only could get the Nokia E7 hardware and use N900 software it would be perfect

Nov 18, 2012so i changed the battery on my e7-00 the other day, after following a tutorial on Internet. i changed it with no problems, reassembled, and then turned the phone back on, and now the phone does not recognise when the qwerty keyboard is opened, and it hence does not turn the screen, nor type the correct letters. the phone had no problems prior to this happening.
