Cseries :: Didn't Find Mail For Exchange On OVI For C3
Aug 2, 2010
I didn't find Mail for Exchange on OVI for C3. Isn't there any support for Microsoft Exhange mail connection via Nokia C3-00 at all? way to sync at least my business mails with this device?
For some reason I just can't find the option to setup Mail for Exchange. I've tried through all the different links to setup mail for exchange in my phone.
I was using Mail For Exchange on my C6-01 with Anna to access my Gmail email and Google Calendar. It worked really well and was a great way to keep everything in sync. After updating to Belle that option seems to be gone so I no longer have a way to sync Google Calendar (setting up a Gmail account is not a problem, but without Mail for Exchange I can't figure out how to sync my Google Calendar.
had it in my pocket whislt I was walking round, and when I sat down at a restaurant and looked at it, and it was almost like the phone had just died, but the screen didn't light up and the LED didn't flash. I charged it up fully the night before and i know that when the battery is flat it flashes yellow, but it was doing nothing. When I got home i tried charging it, but nothing and then I plugged it into my laptop to try a retrive all of my stuff on there but again nothing!
I have set up my yahoo mail account on my Nokia C6-01. I receive mails as they should do. But I Cant send mail. When I compose a mail and try to send it it just stays in outbox. I have set the mailbox settings correctly. While my gmail account works fine to send mails. Mails are sent instantly. Is anyone else going thru this trouble? And I Cant set up the Ovi mail mailbox. It keeps telling me "unable to sign in"
I bought my E72 for around a week, and have exprience that having trouble for fetching emails, calendar and contacts using Mail for Exchange.I'm using a 3G SIM card with unlimited data usage so that no need to setting up a Wifi connection for internet broswing, and all of the settings which is come from my SP.I can even go for internet broswing but can't retrieve any contents about Emails, Calendar & contacts via Mail for Exchange with Google account. All of the settings are refer to http://www.google.com/sync .
Refer to the Mail for Exchange log, my MfE is Build : 2.01.000, device SW Ver : 023.00225-Jan-2010RM-530(c)Nokia, so it seems is the latest verions and updates. As a business we run Exchange 2007 and we now have 2 E72's using MfE to connect with the exchange servers.
Both of these users are former E71 users and were very happy with the E71, hence why they went with an E72 as they were reliable. It would seem that's not the case.
The main E72 (my bosses!) is taking forever to Sync and when it does it's hit and miss. he was at the other office last week and over the phone myself and a colleague had to remove all the settings, remove the mail sync connection in exchange, remove basically anything to do with the Exchange profile on phone a server to only then allow it to re-sync!
So to say he is a little annoyed with the phone at present is an understatement. To say I am fed up with it is probably not the best words but they will have to do with in a public forum.
It has the latest firmware... it's the 3rd Revision from what I have seen for this model. It should work with out all these issues.
The E71 with version 4.0 firmware and MfE 3.0 is a pocket rocket. Why is it then we can't have the E72 do the exact same thing? It would certainly mean that the next time my boss travels he doesn't have to worry about his phone having issues?
Can we please for the sake of lost hair, get an update that allows Nokia E72 users to download from Ovi MfE 3.0 and get some stability into this phone so that it works correctly? Either that or get a firmware that has the latest version of MfE built into it and is stable so support guys around the world don't have to wear the phone when their bosses get fed up with them!
Honestly, you built an E71 to work fantastic, how hard is it to get your latest product to the same type of specifications. It's almost a downgrade what you have produced.
Lastly Nokia, an update on when a new and hopefully better firmware for the E72 is availble would also be a godsend. I get asked everyday at the moment if there is a new one out. I would like to be able to provide an answer so we can live in hope these issues will be fixed.
Hello, I just bought an XpressMusic 5730 phone and wanted to sync with my Linux laptop. I've been told the best way to do this is through gmail, which requires Mail For exchange (if I've understood correctly). I've been able to download it for a 5730 on the nokia website, but upon trying to install it says I'm using an incorrect version. Is Mail for Exchange available for my phone or not? The manual makes mention of it being one my options when configuring the phone, but all I can see is Email and Nokia Messaging.
I installed the Mail for Exchange 2.9.158. It works fine except for one thing. I am always getting a new email icon on the top left. I tried to mark all as unread and then mark them back as read to solve the problem but it doesn't work. The Mail for Exchange reports that it has no new email i.e.
Mail for Exchange (0)
But still the top left icon for new email appears. I do not have any other mailboxes defined in messaging. Please help me with this problem.
I'm using E72 Mail for Exchange for by business e-mails. Today I noticed that some of the e-mails, I sent from my E72, are sent with missing text. At first I thought it was about size of e-mail but it looks independent of size. Because there are some messages that sent 10 words only.
my exchange mail tooks too much time to open any mail or toggle between mails, i do not know why, and it made the mobe hanges some times and close the mail automatically, kindly note that the mobile version is updated.
I was trying to set up my wife's school Exchange email on her 3GS and when done it keep asking for a password. We entered the correct one but it keeps saying wrong password even though it's right.Any ideas?
For the past couple of weeks I've been having issues with my device and push mail, I'll check the phone in the afternoon and it'll say last updated 10:30 - swipe to update and all my mail comes in.
The device is not in Stamina mode and I've even disabled the "queue background data" option but not joy. Removed and re-added my account also, oh and cleared out all of my devices in Exchange web mail.
Just downloaded TouchDown to see if its the native email application causing the issue and that works fine.
I am wondering if the last software update has caused an issue, been working fine up until a few weeks ago.
I upgraded to iOS 5.1, and shortly after, my connection to the gmail Exchange server stopped working, saying: Cannog Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I've tried deleting and re-adding the account, changing my password, and completly restoring my phone, but I still get that message when I try to check my mail. I can, however, set it up as a regular gmail account, and that works just fine. Furthermore, my calendar works when I set up the Exchange account, it's only the mail that doesn't. I can also see all of my gmail labels if I look in my mailboxes, but I can't receive data. What might be preventing my Exchange account from checking my mail?
I have a nokia c6 phone and i have been trying to download or listen songs from ovi music but it everytime says redeem voucher. What should be done in that case ? Do we have to pay for what we download or is it free.
I got my E72 yesterday and am quite impressed with Nokia Messaging so far (I previously used RoadSync on my N82 for syncing with our exchange server). One thing that's bugging me, though, is that when emails come in to one of my subfolders (this is the Mail for Exchange mailbox), there is no new email notification on the main screen. Is that right? Can anything be done about this? Like most people, I filter all my work emails into subfolders, so I need to know when something appears in one of them. If I can't change this, I'll need to go back to Roadsync. Any ideas or comments?
This is driving me nuts. I'm trying to link my Microsoft Outlook account to my E71 and I've downloaded Mail for Exchange. But when I get through the email set-up wizzard I get to the section Mailbox type and I am only given the options of POP3 or IMAP4....and not Mail for Exchange which is what I need. So I can't get my emails.
I am currently on the verge of changing my mobile phone and I really like the new Nokia E72, however I have one doubt about it. Would you be so kind to tell me if this phone has support of Exchange folders in Mail for Exchange (such as in E75) - I'd really like to have all my Received/Sent/Deleted/Etc items with subfolders synced.
I had mail for exchange working fine on my N95 almost for a year. Yesterday I decided to update phone software (now updated to V35.2.001) and now I can not install mail for exchange at all.Earlier at least one could download it from Nokia's web site on a pc and install it on phone. I have not figured out a way to download it to PC. When going to thru OVI store, it downloads the application and then just gives the error message, installation failed.
Is there any place where phone stores log of installation activities that can help me to figure out possible problems?
I've had great experience with my E71, almost no crashes, fantastic battery life. But I installed Mail For Exchange 3.0 last night and with it, my phone now is burning through the battery. It was down one tick last night after I installed it, but by 1:30 this afternoon it was dead. I even plugged it in at work for an hour when it started alerting me of the low battery. It was also heating up considerably, which has only happened to me once before, when I was running Qik for an hour. A co-worker of mine has an E71 as well and has had issues with other versions of MFE before.
We have a number of Nokia E71's which will need the lastest Version of MFE installed (version 3.0).
Problem is as far as I can see, it can only be downloaded via OVI on the device?
Please tell me there is an alternative? I do not want to have to install OVI on each device, login with a generic account. Download/install MFE and then uninstall OVI !
In my nokia e72-1 model, with firmware version 091.003 and mail for exchange Buld: 3.00.000,When I add mail box, it is getting added properly and even conects to the exchange server, but it does not download any mail to the mobile.
have an N8-00 have already set mail for exchange for the company worked before now I move to another company I wanted to delete the settings for mail exchange but was unable want ti know if it is possible to remove all settings for mail exchange then re program it again ?
I have Exchange configured on my iPhone and have it setup for Push; however, what I am finding is that it does not work as I would expect. Having both the iPhone and the Blackberry side-by-side, when a new message arrives, the BB instantly flashes and notifies me of a new message, the iPhone... nothing. I have to actually wake the device, unlock it and open Mail in order to see that I have a new message.
Is this the intended operational procedure or am I missing something. We have Exchange 2003 Server (with SP2) not that it should matter. Just find that a bit lacking if that is what is considered Push per Apple's definition. If the device is awake and Mail is running, I get notified, but lets be honest, how often is your device in standby mode (sleeping). I really want to pitch the BB.
I purchased BOLD 9700 in last week of April 2010 & was able to successfully configure my work email (Exchange 2007 through OWA). However the same worked for about 3 weeks and after that suddenly it got disconnected. I checked with my company's mail admins and as per them they have not done any changes or any upgrades etc to mail system.
Now whenever I try to configure the mail, I get following error:Earlier too, I had used the same settings, and it worked correctly. Now this is giving error. I tried to change the web url to https:// to but no success. Can you provide me suitable resolution, if possible?
