Connection Keeps Failing While IPhone 5s Is In Restore Mode
Jun 3, 2014
My Iphone is in completely disabled. The only way to unlock it is to put the phone in restore mode. When I do this I get the following message "There was a problem downloading the software for the Iphone. An unknown error occurred (9006) (Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection active, and try again later.." Then I have to start over again. I've made dozens of failed attempts to try to connect. And even went to a friends that has faster more superb Internet speed and connection than my own and still the same message above comes up.
I have been trying to restore my iPhone 4S over iCloud since yesterday. Invariably, it will fail with the message that the iPhone is no longer connected to the internet. The wifi over which my iPhone is connected is also being used by four other computers that have no problems maintaining their connection with the internet. Currently, the estimated time remaining for the restore is 11 hours. It has come down from 52 hours. This over a broadband connection of 120Mb/sec down and 9 Mb/sec up. The size of the backup on iCloud from which I am trying to restore my iPhone is 8GB.
I recently got an iPhone 5S, and it's been great, but suddenly, yesterday, the connection to the server started failing and won't connect me to my mail.
My phone is stuck in an endless cycle of failing to restore and update. Unknown error (1) keeps occurring. I have done everything on the recommended list.
Could not connect to computer. I have installed Sony P.C. companion but when I try to connect through USB phone isn't detected. I've tried alternating between media storage mode and mass storage mode, no luck. Tried connecting through Bluetooth but again no luck. Just keeps saying 'no phone connected'.
I'm getting blurred images in macro mode or when the object is close and the camera app is failing to recognize close objects conssistently. I've tried repairing my phone but no dice. The issue is greater in case of small objects, eg flowers, etc and the camera doesn't even focus properly on it, resulting in abrupt and blur images.
I bought my iphone about two weeks ago. I thought i did something to it becaus the sound would not function. Every button works correctly, but i can not control the volume. If someone calls me, it rings. I can not listen to music outloud, BUT headphones work. i had just updated it to ios 5.1.1.
It just gets to the end of the process and comes up with an error "The iPhone cannot be restored. An unknown error occured (1015)" what do i do about this ?
I have a 3g iphone 4.2. It was unlocked and jailbroken. I was using tmobile so I needed to have it unlocked but I recently changed to sprint. I wanted to restore the phone and find a way to use my tmobile sim card for sprint but when I clicked restore. It had the 1015 error . I tried it one more time and now it is stuck in restore mode. It shows an apple symbol with a bar underneath that is clear.
I just recieved my iphone today and was able to use it with a wi-fi connection. Suddenly it turned off and would only operate while plugged into a charger. A tech support specialist from verizon then had me put my iphone into recovery mode, that it will not come out of. i tried to put it into DFU mode, but i get nothing. i tried to restore on Itunes from my PC, but i keep getting an error (21) message. I have also already turned off all firewall and security, but still have no luck.
I plugged my Iphone 3gs into computer to update and it went into recovery mode and now cannot restore which is the next prompted step. Computer and Itunes says they are fully updated as well. Tried restarting computer and Iphone. Still no luck.
bought this phone off craigs list unlocked and its stuck in restore mode and i nolonger have the laptop it was synced with etc i have tried everything to fix it keep getting error mess 1015
My Iphone is stuck in the restore mode , will updating the software, I have tried to restart by holding the start & home Buttons, but still the same problem. Â
Dropped my iphone 5s 64gb on the cement floor. The fuzzy red screen appeared then slowly faded off. I thought there were some wires loose. I slap the phone hard and it sent itself to the recovery mode. I tried to restore the Iphone 5s with itunes but the download goes halfway then an unknown error (-50) showed up. the itunes wasn't able to pickup the iphone's serial number. While my iphone is white, the picture on itunes shows the black iphone 5s
When I was going to update my software on my iphone 5s something went wrong and now i'm stucked in something called recovery mode. The screen on my iphone is black and tells me i have to connect my iphone to itunes, and when i did that itunes told me i have to restore my iphone. How do i get out of this recovery mode without restore anything? Â
my iPhone 5 was not charging when connected to my PC at office (it charged fine from a power outlet or when connected to a macbook), and the authorized technical assistance recommended me to try a restore.Â
I connected to iTunes, backed up and restored the device. Perfect.Â
But now iTunes won't recognize that the phone was restored and keep showing the "Welcome to your new iPhone" screen, where the only options are to configure as a new iPhone or restore from my previous backup. I can't make any local backups or transfer any music, because iTunes won't let me access the phone contents, only restore it. Â
Note that I'm not stuck at "recovery mode" (iPhone is working just fine), but I cannot get past the "restore from backup" mode. What should I do? I already tried restarting the iPhone, changing the cable, etc, and it did not work.
"iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used in iTunes" It restores the phone to factory settings and after I do the restore I connect my phone back to iTunes to try and restore my phone to the back up I made just before I did the 4.1 update but then iTunes gives me the same error message as above so I have to restore my phone to factory settings again which I've had to do 3 times now. Then it says “The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9)” Then the phone displays the connect to itunes logo again and wants me to do the whole restore to factory settings procedure again.
My iPhone 3GS is in restore mode error 2001 but, I have connected my phone to three different computers and they all keep saying error code (2001) . I have restarted the computer multiple times. What do I do next?
Yesterday my sister told me she had a problem with her iPhone. She was on 5.1.0 and updated OTA to 5.1.1. When the update was done, her iPhone rebooted and displayed the 'connect to iTunes' screen. She gives it to me, I do what I can and after several restores the only thing that shows up after a restore is the 'connect to iTunes' screen. In iTunes, it says it's in recovery mode and needs restoring....again.
I started to upgrade my ios today. Next time I pulled my phone out it wouldn't respond. After holding the home screen the connect to iTunes image popped up and wouldn't go away. When I got home and connected, I was told to restore. I did so, and after the thirty-minute software update, it was now returned to the connect to iTunes screen and is giving me the same message upon connecting to iTunes.
This morning I connected my iPhone 3GS to my computer and itunes told me it couldn't recognize my phone and needed to restore. This had never happened before but I clicked restore anyways but recieved an error message. After about an hour of trial and error going through Apple's diagnostics I fixed the problem by enabling Itunes in Norton Security, which had just updated recently so I thought that was the issue. Itunes began letting me begin the restore process (without showing an error/failure message) but simply freezes every time halfway through the update. Each time the bar at the top will will up about halfway and then stop forever. If anyone can help me with this issue I would really appreciate it! Obviously I use my phone everyday and it is completely unusable in it's current state.
Iphone keeps getting a pixelated streaks and goes into restore mode. It either restores completely and then the same thing happens or as it is going through the restore process it freezes with an error 14 and I have to start the same process again. I have the latest IOS.
