Aug 13, 2010I was told that when you send a text message with the the Torch it puts a check by the message when it sends and that it will place and "R" beside the message when the other person opens the the text. Can anyone tell me how to turn that option on?

Jun 19, 2010I'm a new user to nokia E72, though i have been using nokia phones for about 5 years now. when i receive a text message while my e72 was switched off, it doesn't show the exact time the sender sent the message. instead it shows the time the text message receieved to my phone when i switch on my device. as an example i swtiched off my phone at 10pm night and my friend sent me a message at 11 pm.. and then i switch on the phone again at 12 midnight and i recieve his message at 12.01am and in it time stamp it shows the message receieved at 12.01am instead the correct time when my friend sent me the message at 11pm i have checked this with other nokia phones example 6630 and so on. in them it shows the exact time the sender sent the message what's wrong in my nokia E72? how can i correct it?

May 5, 2015So starting last night I noticed that when I get a instagram notification my phone would chime and it never did that before. No big deal. However this morning I put my phone on mute and when i received a text message my phone chimes. I turned the sound off and defaulted the messages to silent but it still keeps making the same noise even though my phone is on silent.

Aug 18, 2010The bar on the top of the screen between the "select a profile" and the "search magnifying glass" where the notifications pop up not sure what that page is called but in this slide down screen under Text Messages I have a text message that is staying at unread. Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.

When I ask someone to send me a text message, it doesn't come in either until I reboot my phone or until I open "sim messages". I've removed F-secure, rebooted several times and tried other sim cards from other providers. The problem is always present, regardless of simcard, provider or message length. I have enough memory left on the phone and the sim card.

User manual downloaded from Nokia (107 pages!) says an attachment to a text message can be saved by touching "..." and then 'save to phone' but "..." and no other options appear when tapping the video or the enclosing text message. That user interface does work for photo images received in a text message but not for videos.

But whenever I tap the received message it always says received one minute ago, unless it was on an earlier date. But, if I get a text at 8am and check it at noon, then tap on it, it says received one minute ago. Any way to fix this?

Sep 6, 2011I can receive emails that contain other languages, like chinese and korean. However, well I reply emails in those languages, people only receive symbols. I try to send it to my own email address as well, I also only receive symbols, like question marks. I'm using rogers but I don't think it has anything to do with the carriers because it was okay before.

Feb 2, 2010The 5800 and 5530 don't dispaly the name of the sender when a text message is received, right, Well so I thought. and I wasn't too happy about it as all my previous phones had this facility. Then a few days ago I got a message on my 5530 and when I looked at the screen there waa white star overlaying the image of the sender on my contacts bar. Great, I thought, I'd never noticed that before! But how could this be? I haven't had a firmware upgrade or anything. Since then I've found that I occasionally get the star on messages from this one contact, but not on messages from any of my other contacts.What's going on? I've searched the web and can find no references to this at all.Have any other users noticed this feature? And can anyone explain why it doen't work for all contacts?

Sometimes when I've been having a conversation, through sms text messages, with someone I will be randomly unable to open a newly received sms text message and cannot open it for a while. I got it checked and they gave me a new phone, and this one is doing the same thing.
