BB Torch :: Unable To Set Outlook As Default Calendar?
Dec 3, 2012
After the last software update I installed on my Blackberry torch, I have lost the option to set Outlook as my default calendar - apparently Facebook is now my default. how I can change it? My syncing is showing as Outlook.
I synced a google calendar with my torch but now I am unable to sync my outlook contacts and calendar. The outlook stuff is more important and I would like to remove the Google info but it has set itself as my default service on my device. How to get rid of google?
Recently I have been unable to sync my Blackberry calendar with my Outlook 2010 calendar. I am getting a message "calendar not installed" when I synch my organizer files. My other organizer files synch okay. I am able to make calendar entries on my device and on Outlook but unable to synch calendars. I tried everything I could think of.
Is it possible to get the calendar in my blackberry to talk with the calendar in Microsoft outlook automaticaly with out using the cable to sync the 2 devices on desktop.
sync my Outlook Calender with my Torch wirelessly. I set up my Outlook Exchange E-mail successfully (though it would be nice if I could move e-mails to Outlook folders as well).
How do I sync Torch Calendar with my Outlook Calendar wirelessly?
I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?
I have problems with lots of duplicate Calander entries. How do I delete the Default Calendar? I have desktop 6. It was originally a gmail calendar that I deleted.
I am baffled. When I sync my Blackberry Torch calendar with Outlook 2007 on my PC, I notice that my device has 1300 events and my PC only has 1107 events. I can't figure out why the device calendar has more than my PC, and I don't know which ones are missing from my PC, or why.
I had two calendars a default one and the email one. I moved the default into the email calendar. CICAL shows the email address. But the calendar will not sync with outlook. I have items in the BB that do not appear in outlook.
I have not been able to synce my Blackberry calendar to Outlook. Infact, the calendar does not sync to any of the other calendar options on my PC such as ASCII file or Windows calendar. Also, I have been able to sync the contacts and notes to Outlook - just not calendar.
i recently switched from a Windows phone to the Blackberry Torch because I needed a phone that would easily sync with Outlook. I have it configured to only change the calendar on the device (not the PC) because I am afraid that Outlook events will be deleted. What is perplexing me is that when the calendar syncs, it wants to delete and add the same events, even when I make no changes to the calendar on either the phone or Outlook.I get the following:The following changes from Calendar Microsoft Outlook will be applied to your Device data in Calendar:934 Deletion(s)934 Addition(s)?

I got my iPhone 4s about a month ago, and today am trying to sync my iPhone calendar to Outlook. It is not working from iPhone to Outlook, but Outlook to iPhone works fine.
After reading forum discussion, I believe the reason is because the salesperson set up a Google calendar (I have gmail). I would love to delete this calendar from my iPhone
I have tried setting the sync default to my regular calendar, but it still is not syncing... If only I could get rid of that Google calendar from my iPhone, I think I'd be in good shape!
my bb was working ok and was syncing ok with my Outlook calender. The bb calender was synced to one of my five email accounts (mail@tw). I started to get issues with it so I followed advice and deleted the other calender cical things except for facebook. Since then the bb has added a default calender to mirror the mail@tw calender....so I have duplicate entries for everything and I don't know what to do.....
On my BB sync software 6.0, under organizer it says "calender not installed" I am trying to sync my BB Torch with Outlook 2007 calender ? Gone into Advance settings & checked calender both ways but coming out it still says not installed?
I have two email addresses registered on my Torch: my business and my private email address. I have set my business email address as default. When syncing with Outlook, it syncs with the default calendar in Outlook and doesn't take over entries I made on the phone.
I tried moving all calendar entries from Default and my private email to the business email address on the Torch but then while syncing it wants to delete all my entries in the Outlook calendar.
When I synchronize my BlackBerry Torch 9800 with Outlook 2010, old items on my calendar disappear from Outlook. Even though these events have passed, I would like to retain them on my calendar as reminders for those dates.
I have tried to find a setting in BlackBerry and in Outlook to stop this from happening, but have been unsuccessful so far.
The recent desktop software update has solved some of the calendar synchronization issues but this morning I got a new error message : Intellisynch error code 0x80040fb3. What this is all about?
Yesterday, I updated my terminal: Blackberry TORCH 9800 to version 6, ver. 2647.I thought it would be a minor update but I realized it was a major update of the whole system.n IMPORTANT PROBLEM OCCURRED: Outlook 2007 CALENDAR synchronization DID NOT INSTALLED therefore I cannot synchronize the terminal to OUTLOOK with Blackberry Desktop Software anymore. When I look into (Organiseur in French), it shows that Calendar did not install.BUT Yes, it still can synchronize ADDRESSES, TASKS and NOTES but not Calendar.
When my calendar reminder pops up it gives me the option to end the reminder or snooze for a preiod of 5 mins. This is far too short so I went to Calendar, Options, General Options and under Actions set the Default Reminder to 15 min and saved the change. When a reminder pops up the snooze time is still 5 minutes despite the change I made. Very annoying! What can be done to set the reminder time to anything other than 5 mins ? Have I changed the wrong field, or is this a bug?
I have a BB Torch 9800.I am using the BB desktop software 6.0 bundle 2647 to Sync. I have gone under Organizer tab, then the Select Organizer Data to Synchronize.I have hit the reset settings and reset calendar, memo, address and tasks and it says it has configured successfully. However, after I hit OK, it says calendar is "not installed"every thing is syncing except the calendar.
When I do a backup with Desktop, it truncates all calendar items older than 60 days even though I have selected the "keep them forever" option. I need at least one year because all the anniversaries and birthdays I enter will disappear every 60 days.
I am unable to sync Outlook 2007 with my Torch 9800. When I set it up to sync with Outlook it looks OK and says to go ahead and use it but then comes up as not installed.
Am facing a peculiar problem with my Blackberry Calendars.A brief background of the situation : I have 3 email ids synced to my Blackberry Bold 9000 (OS 5.0.0.681). However, none of the emails have any calendars associated with them. I sync my Address Book & Calendar entries through Outlook 2010. At this stage, there are 197 entries in the Calendar, all marked in Blue. Default Services does not show an CICAL option. Neither is there any CICAL in the Service Book. When I install the Facebook app (1.8 or above), all calendar entries get marked in Red and named as Facebook. Default Services starts showing a CICAL option with only one entry "Facebook". A Facebook CICAL is added to the Service Book. There is no option or entry for any other Calendar.
The problem is that all the entries under Facebook are the same 197 as the Outlook entries. No entries from my Facebook account are added to the device. So it is as if the Outlook Calendar has been renamed as Facebook Calendar without any Facebook entries being added to the database. The entries are not duplicated under Facebook. Just that original Outlook Calendar has now become the Facebook Calendar.I would like to have both these Calendar entries (Outlook & Facebook) on the device as many of my business associates / clients etc are on my Facebook profile and i would like some reminder of their bdays etc too.Things that I have tried so far to rectify this are as follows. Each process has been repeated multiple times with no change in results:
1) Re-set up the Facebook Calendar Entries association in the Facebook App > Options
2) Deleted Facebook CICAL from Service Book and then re-associated the App as above
3) Re-installed the Facebook app after deleting the Facebook CICAL.
I receive messages from my work outlook account on my handheld but I am unable to reply to them. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it.
