My 4S is not saving the recent phone calls, only for a day or two. is it normal? Can it save all calls like unlimited?

I am in the process of buying a W595. The main thing that troubles me is a VERY short call history list. According to specifications this is 10 + 10 + 10 for received, dialed and missed calls. Is there a way to keep records of at least 100 or hopefully more incoming and outgoing calls?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think I'm going a bit crackers, I have a Blackberry Storm 9500 on Vodafone PAYG, and cannot for the life of me work out how to save a contact from a new SMS. I tend to give out my number, people text it so I have theirs, but saving them as a contact from the initial text is proving impossible.
I have tried C&P, doesn't work on anything other than the text fields within the messages themselves, so if they don't type their numbers in the actual text, I can't save them. There is no option to save them in the Blackberry button menu, just to call or SMS them. There is nothing at the top of the conversation that is "clickable", there is just the little person icon and the number, clicking either does nothing, it doesn't select. Same with the number at the beginning of each subsequent text from them - doesn't select, can't use the highlight/copy function on them.
I know there is the long way round, to write the number down then input them but this seems like such a basic function there must be a way to do it directly? If not I think this along with the other function issues (short battery life, regular freezing, low grade MP3 player functions) are going to make me swap it for something else. Shame as I still think the click touch screen phone is ideal for me personally.
Some of the calls displayed have a small HD after the arrow.

I wrote a post here before realizing that the thread trail (Home -> Forum -> Canadian Carrier Discussion -> TELUS Mobility -> CDMA Network and Devices) was pretty narrow, and the thread itself seemed bloated.So I moved it here. I've done a bit of the "intro" stuff: up/down-loaded pictures/ringtones and changed the cover display, so i'm pretty familiar with p2k Commander. But, like some other folks (and as i say in my post) i found either myself incompetent or the software lacking. Regardless, I've experienced some success with this direction so i think i'm gonna take it as far as i can.

I recieved a call about two weeks ago. It was an incoming call, I answered, the call lasted about 10 minutes, and I wrote down the number to call them back. I must have written the number down incorrectly because it does not reach him. In the Phone app, under Recents, it shows a list of recent calls. However, I receive a lot of calls so that call is already no longer listed, it only lists back about a week. Is there some way that I can still access the number that called me two weeks ago? Would the number be saved anywhere that I can access? I have no other means of contacting him.

Since a few weeks my incoming and outcoming calls are visible only in the general phone call history. If I ask to view the call history of a specific contact the activity is registered only until two weeks ago. Contacts with recent activity only have the call history empty. Also in the contacts' recent activity (at the bottom of the contact details) I find only messages ecc. but no recent call history, only calls of more than 2 weeks ago are in there.
