Aug 27, 2012I recently purchased the HTC One X. Seems to be a great phone however I'm coming over to Android from Iphone where everything is easily integrated and works mostly flawlessly together. I downloaded an app called "My Cookbook". I've been trying to transfer some recipe files over from Mastercook to the app on my HTC phone. According to their directions, it looked as if I could do this via dropbox. After trying several times, I finally contacted the creator of the App. Here is their reply:Thanks for having purchased My Cookbook ProActually the dropbox connexion in My Cookbook allows only to backup your recipes and to synchronize them on difference devices. You have an internet connexion error because the app can't find your backup file. We have to improve our error messages.If you want to import in my cookbook other recipes, you have to copy them on your sd card in the sdcard/MyCookbook directory. May 22, 2010For some time I cannot create a new contact via Ovi. After clicking the "+ Create contact..." button, the righmost panel titled "(unnamed)" becomes blank. There are no fields to fill, however they appear for a very short period (< 1sec) after clicking the mentioned button. Contacts editing works fine. Reinstallation, repairing, deleting data from "App data" folder didn't help.

Aug 7, 2010in your contact list, i cant seem to fin out how to create a group. i am always sending pictures of my daughter to my parents and in-laws, it would make it easy to just type family, instead of finding everyones name.
i have the iphone4 with 4.0.1 on it. i can just have that one text open and it seemed to work well with the how merged texts when everyone replied back, but since the jb that function doesnt seem to work anymore. if someone replies to the text, their text goes to their text section, not to the text file for that conversation.

Apr 7, 2011I have just renewed acount with Vodafone and they have included Blackberry Email and I have received a confirmation text from Blackberry saying that my handheld has been registered with the wireless network. However, when I try to create a BIS account I get an error message which says that "PIN is already associated with an account". I have tried different User Names and Passwords but with just the same result.

Oct 8, 2015I tried to create groups on the native phone app on my LG G4. Although it allows me to create a new group, it only shows a single contact as an option for any new group. I have 1000+ contacts on the device, and the native Contacts app has them (when I click the Contacts tab, there they all are).
I was on an hour-long chat with t-mobile who kept telling me the steps for creating a group, which I know. Their final advice: hard reset. I just got the damn phone, so I'd like to avoid the stress of configuring 100+ apps, folders, contacts, etc.
FYI, I have one Exchange email account and a few gmail accounts, if that has any relevance. I just migrated from the Samsung Galaxy S5 on Verizon and I relied on groups a good amount.

It used to be easy, but now the account setup is some kind of automated process - optimized for Ovi Mail, Gmail and such services. My email account surname is not my email address (fist.surname@gmail.com type) but something like "fisurnam". The result is that I give my password in vain, no connection established.
What should I do to create the account? It is also not clear, am I giving my password to Nokia service or is it going directly to the email account provider. This is an important thing as my work email password may not be given to anyone, not even to Nokia.

Jun 26, 2010I don't believe this will be possible but I figured I'd ask. At one time someone found a way to create a truly black icon by using a web site link. You would simply point your browser to this site and save the link to your desktop. You could do this as often as you wished, creating as many "blank" icons as you wished. This allowed you to "arrange" icons on each page in what ever configuration you wanted.
Now that you can set a background image having a "clear" link icon would be useful but I just don't see how it's possible.And no, I don't want to jailbreak to get this feature. I can deal with it if it's not possible.
