I am having problems installing Opera mini on my Blackberry pearl 8110. I have put information about APN adress under TCP. i have downloaded Opera mini and put both files in a sparate file on my Mac. I have downloaded the latest desktop manager for mac. I attached the phone to the computer and opened desktop manager and Applications. I added the alx file and clicked installed and got no error message. But no Opera was installed on the phone. Now when I go into desktop manager and Applications. Opera Mini is in the list there, but when I check the box (to try to oress start again) it says that thare is not enough memory and that I should delete some files. I deleted GPS logger and facebook, but still the same message. Available file free is 20569300 Bytes.
Im new to N900, would like to know if its possible to install Opera mini on N900. Iv tried going to the download link which then asks where to download the file to, by defaut the "documents" folder for download destination came up so i went with that and then it downloaded the file to that destination. I then went to install the Opera mini file and cant get it to install, when i click on the file it asks which application i would like to open it with, thats as far as i get coz theres no suitable application to open it with. The Opera mini file thats downloaded has a " ? " on it. Please could any1 tell me how to do this or where im going wrong, or in fact if Opera mini is even suitable for N900.
I have a UK vodafone storm 2 9520. I'd quite like to have opera 5 mini beta on it .... I've read that it is very good.I tried to download it from the Opera site and it sent a link to my phone which took me to mini.opera.com said my phone model couldnt be detected and something about going to the opera site and using a desktop pc to download the file. I did this and ended up with a .alx and a .cod file. I've not been able to find a way to install them on my phone. I've copied them across and tried to run them and i've emailed the files to me to an email on the phone and it says file type not recognised.
downloaded Opera mini on my 9630 through desktop manager but when i clicked on the file on my phone the red bar in installation process stopped moving after 5 secs. Did it freeze? coz it hasnt moved for 20 mins straight.
I have disabled "packet data" ( whatever that means?) as I was told to, to disable the phones internet connection via the network. ( if I want to go online I connect via wifi) But... now heres the thing, IF Im out & about & there is no wifi available, if I try & open Opera mini, it connects! Obviously this is thru my supposedly disabled network! How can this be? AND more importantly, how can I turn off all instances of the phone connecting in this way?Can I ask my provider ( Orange) to completely disable it at their end?
I can't use Opera mini web browser at all! It loads and finally throws up the following error:"Failed to connect to the Internet."It's frustrating coz I was (am) able to use Opera mini without any glitch on N73.
Is there any way I can set-up Opera Mini as my main default browser (for example if I recieve a text message including a web link so that I can open it with Opera rather than Nokia's browser)
I have bought a nokia c2-00 which is dual sim. The default Internet browser works but my provider has failed to make the opera mini work. The opera mini comes loaded under me applications. The opera mini gives the message "failed to connect to the Internet ... Contact service provider for Internet settings" . What do I do? I prefer opera mini.
I've installed opera mini 6.1 from opera mini website but it doesn't connect to the internet. I have also defined an access point but its of no use. The inbuilt browser (older version of opera without tab support) is working perfectly fine..but the newer version with tab support are more user friendly.
Am I broken, or does Opera Mini 4.2 not function under the official Verizon .591 OS? I hate Opera 5, and now I am ready to roll back just to get Opera 4.2 working again.
I have Opera Mini 5 on my Blackberry right now and it works great. It's just the fact that I can't set a homepage bothers me a little. Also, the mouse seems to be a little slow (maybe incompatible with the trackpad?) and that annoys. Would Mini 4 be any better? It's a lot faster than the default for sure. If I downgrade to Mini 4, what really would I miss?
Is there a way to install the opera mini software on the LG KEYBO 2 ?It was easy to install it with bitpim on the keybo 1, but the keybo 2 seem to be different.
All the animtions on the rumor touch in opera mini 5 are extremely slow. and its slower at scrolling then 4.2. what is the reason for this? the phone does not have a slow prosessor
The application icon for opera mini 4.2 has a small yellow key next to it. I am unable to delete the app. I can't install opera mini 5 over the top. I have tried removing it with windows explorer, nokia application manager but neither worked. I tried taking the memory card out and doing all of the above but nothing worked. Please can someone tell me how I can uninstall this application so that I can install opera 5 mini?
i had downloaded opera mini 6.5 in my mobile NOKIA E5.but since last few days it stopped working.so i tried to download opera mini 7 but i am not able to download that...
New opera mini 6.5 is not formatting web pages correctly to the display for some websites in portrait mode. Website for example- [URL]..click on accept as solution.
When I open opera mini for the first time, it loads the pages good but when we continue to browse after say 10 minutes, it never opens any link. Sometimes when I open it says low memory, close some applications.
I had deleted some system files from my E5-00 when it was connected to a PC. Ever since then, opera has not been working in my phone. I updated the phone software several times. Yet, Whenever i select Opera Mini, the phone re-boot.
So I know that you can touch the red bar to scroll all the way up in the Opera Mini browser, but is there any way to scroll down besides swiping the screen?I've searched as best as I can and couldn't find anything that's relevant to the Storm's touchscreen. All the instructions are for physical keyboard use, not the touchscreen. Is it possible to scroll down in the Opera Mini browser with the Storm's touchscreen?
I wonder why RIM doesn't just release devices with Opera Mini preinstalled. IMO, Opera blows every other mobile browsing experience out of the water, regardless of device or brand. What are your thoughts and if you choose to stick with the RIM browser despite admitting its limitations, then why?
I'm inquiring about the accuracy of the cursor, it seems a bit temperamental at times, not as smooth as the Internet Browser. I have been using Opera Mini for the past three weeks and I still haven't got used to how the cursor works on it. Is there a way to make it so it's like the Internet Browser, or if it's the same with other BlackBerry 9700 devices?
