Sep 9, 2010So having a blackberry has turned into a nightmare for me.
Backstory: I have the 8330... this is brand new, not even 30 days old. I had one before but Sprint felt I needed a sofware upgrade due to my phone resetting and they basically locked me out of the phone. How genuis??? So a week's worth of daily 20mile drives to Sprint's repair stores in a torrential downpour and I have a new phone.
ISSUE: When I take pictures on this blackberry and I zoom, my picture comes out very small online. the closer the zoom, the smaller the pic. how do I turn this off. This is the gripe of my life right now! It never happened on my old phone. allmy pics were large (per my setting).Any insight on how i can fix this or should I return this blackberry too?
BB Curve :: Appworld Search Feature Freezes Since Last Update
Nov 8, 2011Since the last update of the appworld application (around one week ago) I encounter some problems with its search feature. Indeed, when I enter a keyword in the search field, it sends me back the result by categories (News/Games/My World...). And if I click on any categories to get the details of applications found, the appworld application freezes. I must click on the back/return key to regain control so I never have the result of what I searched.
So each time I need a new application by searching, I must use the web blackberry site and a QR code scanner. And, regarding this point, I have another question: could you explain me why I'm not able to install some basic applications on my recent BB like "yahoo!", "viigo" or one of the RIM gift "bejeweled" ? When I try to install them, appworld answers "this application is not available for this terminal" (translation from french message). I'm very surprised that those application are not available on one of the most recent device and with the last OS.

I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application.In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.

However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.

Apr 20, 2011I've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.
BB Curve :: 4 Day Old 9300 Won't Charge
Jun 25, 2012I bought a blackberry curve 9300 4 days ago and today it fully ran out of charge. I put it on charge and now it won't charge or switch on. If I take the battery out and put it back in and then put it on charge, a red light comes on for about 10-15 seconds and then nothing else happens. Dec 18, 2011Yesterday Morning I put my BB Curve 9300 on charge for around an hour to get its 100% battery back as I would be traveling for a while in the car with out any source to plug my BB in, My BB was perfectly fine. Throughout the day I used BBM quite a bit and some of the games that I had installed onto my BB. Around 3pm I notice my BB was very low on battery so I put it on charge and left it for 30 minutes and returning only to find out it had not charged at all and the battery was empty> I had checked to make sure my charger was firmly in the plug socket which it was and made sure the cable had not come loose from my BB which it had not. I took the battery out of my BB and gave it a good blow and the inside of the BB too as this normally works. I put my battery back in and a solid red light came on which then faded. Usually When you put the battery back in the phone starts up and it works fine but now the red solid light will not even show.
I have tried leaving it on charge over night and that has not worked helped at all
P.S. I have had my Blackberry Curve 9300 for just a week as it was a replacement given to me by my provider when my last Blackberry failed to work.
