Proud and all, I just recently purchased a media card to start storing and listening to music.I am now unable to play any sort of media, sound or ringtone. Jan 15, 2016So i recently bought a z5 compact (unlocked) after i finally managed to destroy my z3 compact. My phone will not tether and it's driving me crazy. Every time i try, either the normal wifi hotspot, bluetooth or usb tethering, it says that everything's connected but then says "error occurred during tethering" and won't actually connect.
Troubleshooting: I was using the same virgin mobile sim (post paid, used in the z3 compact and temporary Xperia SP with no issues), and i work at virgin mobile so i am absolutely sure my apn settings are correct and that the setting is on in my account.
I went to Telstra where i bought the phone and they replaced it under warranty - it still doesn't work.
Im currently visiting the us and I'm using a prepaid lyca mobile sim with 10gb including tethering.

I'm trying to update to 4.0 with jailbreak using a custom cooked ipsw file with Snowbreeze 1.6.1 and keep getting error "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2)."
I've tried both DFU mode AND Recovery mode. I also remembered to remove Saurik's server ip in the hosts file. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling iTunes and rebooting. I even removed WiFi Sync software thinking that might have affected it somehow. I've uninstalled my vs/firewall software. NOTHING seems to work.
