Nov 6, 2012
When I send Sms text, I cannot get the telephone number in my address book. It showed "empty" when I want to select sms contact My BB is Curve 8520 software is v5. File free 38097793 Bytes. I had Whatsup.
I have a Nokia 610..I wanted to send the phone number of one of my contacts to my husband via sms and i do not know if it is possible to do that without writing it manually in the sms. Can i import it into the sms somehow...or is there an option to send it directly from my contacts list?
I am using xperia neo v . in contacts after selecting a contact , if i select "send msg" option , its not directing me tosend a message . noting is happeneing .
Ok so in contacts you can enter the persons birthday and this shows in the calendar section which is handy.
I've worked out you can set the reminder alarm to go off in advance of the birthday so that it acts as a reminder (to get a present!)
Question is - at the top of the appointment details of that particular event there is a grayed out line with my email address with a green suare next to it - i can't click on it or change it, was wondering what that is for
every time i try to send a contact card through text messaging the message never goes through. i have all of the message setting set properly, sms, mms, imessage, etc are all on. it there another setting that i am missing?
I was wondering if I could add a picture to my contacts that would show up when they send me a text message like you can do with the Samsung Gallery ...
how do you send a phone number that's not in your contact list to someone through a text message? I was looking for an option to send a phone number in my recent calls, but not in my contact list, to someone through a text message and i couldn't find one.
I've filled in the contact details of people on my phone, but when i select someone to call it says below "no details" below thier picture . How do i get the details to display ?
How can I export contact data to the calendar? Obvious example is birthdays dates of contacts. I know I can insert the dates manually to the calendar, but I am looking for another option.
I had a problem with my laptop, afterwards OVI desktop software kept crashing, it would load and say it needed to update then crash. At this point I could see my first entry in Contacts so i know the information is still on my computer, also i cannot install a new version of OVI.I recently lost my phone and need to retrieve my contacts, so I decided to install OVI onto another laptop, is there a file in my Nokia OVI folders on the old laptop that contains all my contacts that I can move over to the other computer with the working OVI software?
I was recently roaming on my iphone 4, and was replying to a text when i saw the name at the top change to a number?
A little later i tried to retrive a telephone number and the person that i was looking for was no longer there? Upon futher checking i found that a number of recently added numbers (back about 3 to 4 months) had also disapeared?
I thought that it may have been something to do with roaming in another country, but back home now and contact have still not returned.
About the same time back as above, i added a gmail (New job) account, and on checking in gmail i have found that the telephone numbers are also missing from my contact details within my gmail account, of the contacts that i set up since starting this account?
Icloud is turned on and when i checked my hotmail account the contact information is stored there?
Whats the latest update for X10? Somebody spoke about Android 4 and I am using Android 2.3.3. The last time I updated I had my mobile wiped clean of all applications I downloaded and my pictures and music gone.
My iphone 4 no longer has the edit facility when displaying contact details, thus preventing any updates. Phone has latest software and has never been jailbroken.
My IPhone 4 connected to my mac today. Took a call, then looked through my phone and all the phone numbers have lost there contact name details. It seems that the problem is related to Sync as my contacts are located via microsoft outlook. But sync details are turned on and they are not syncing. Have backed up office 2011 and reinstalled fresh, and still not syncing is happening. So that would say that this is not an office related software issue. I'm lost to backup all and start from scratch.
I've just had to upgrade my old phone to a flashy N8 (running Anna). Generally it works fine but I have a problem with maps and using a contact as destination. When I tried this I was asked to link the contact address to a place on a map.Apart from the fact this this is a real pain to have to link each one manually (why ?) the other issue is the fact that the Street is changed and the 7 character UK postcode is truncated to 5 characters. I can of course manually correct afterwards. Is there a way of easily setting a number of contacts up without having to manually re-edit the address and postcodes every time ?
Recently I noticed that all of the contacts details I've had stored in my phone (names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses) have been reduced to part of the name and telephone numbers (all labeled mobile). I cannot find any addresses. I've had problems with I-sync and wondered if it's to do with that. I don't seem to be able to back up my phone onto my mac, so I can't save the info that's on there if I have to restore factory' settings. Do I have to start from scratch and just hit the 'restore factory settings' button?
Prior to the old handset being sent away, i backe up my contacts to the SD card, which i thought was all well and fine,Hah!So, after downloading the contacts into the phonebook, i was surprised to see that the numbers had been partially replaced with hyphens, making it a no go to recover the actual digitsI ended up getting something like, 013-25-5489 which in this example, has two digits missing. How are we supposed to work out what we are missing.I have emailed SE CC UK about my situation, so we will see what excuses they come back with and if i do not like them, then i shall take this issue to out Trading Standards as the back up facility does not do what it says on the tin.
I just recently performed the 4.5.91 update on my phone, and it has altered/edited my contacts. The older software allowed for birthday/anniversary information. Cannot figure out how to add this information back to my contacts. For the "few" that actually still showed the birthday/anniversary information, either the dates are off or they just appear as a group of numbers. When I try to delete the incorrect/altered information, it doesn't give me the ability to do that.
I've just bought a blackberry and I tried to synchronize my contact details... every is going well but it stop to the s because probably I don't have free memory space in my blackberry. How can I move all my contact details in the external memory card which is free?
1- In E52, you can't edit contact details label. It means when you edit a contact, select a number, options, and edit label. set another name for number label and save it. but still the default number label appears.
2- I can't set turning controls (silencing calls, Snoozing alarms) on with screen rotation off.the firmware version is: 034.001 (updated yesterday)
I'm a Blackberry 9700 (onyx) user. I have few problems that I would like to share. Please help me solving them if you happen to know the solutions.
1. Once every 4 or 5 days, my 9700 always gets frozen. Does it happen because I never reboot it?
2. And, everytime I do reboot or battery pull, the recently added contact details are erased from my contact list. But, recent SMS, emails, or BBM conversation are not erased at all.
3. When I open the contact list, it only shows one contact name (it seems like all other contact names are erased). Then, when I type any alphabet key, the contact list appears. But, still the recently added contact details (mentioned on problem 2 above) are missing.
Is it because I never update my platform version? I'm currently using version 5.1.0.91 and the BBM is the 5.0.0.330 version.
I have been using bbm with a contact for some time and suddenly I cannot open any messages or send any new ones to this contact. I have deleted and re-invited the Contact, messages arrive but I cannot open them and reply.
I have a little issue, my email works perfectly with my BB Curve 9320, except for one contact, my gf, I dunno why, but I can't send even a single e-mail to her.It does'n work and I have tried everything, battery pull, deleting her from the address book and adding her again, I even wiped out my entire BB (y' know, factory settings)
I just got this phone unlocked and as soon it arrived I tried to add a contact on the bbm or try to sent a message pin to pin message, but I`m unable to do that. When I try to sent this type of message, it`s saying that the service is blocked. I tried to reinstall the bbm and others things, besides to get help at my carrier.
My mum got the Nokia E72 yesterday, and when she recieves a text message it just says "One message received". Now, on all her old Nokia's (6600 Slide the last one), once a text message was recieved, it says "One new message", but also the sender beneath this. Is there a way to get the sender's name on the text message notification screen, like mentioned above?
