BB Curve :: BBM Group Invitation Goes To SMS List Folder
Jul 28, 2012
i have a Curve 8300 with v4.5.0.124 (platform 2.7.0.92) and 5.0.0.57 BBM application. I could not join/accept any BBM group invitation as it goes to SMS list instead of pending list in BBM folder. What should I do to correct this problem.
My problem is identified because I have the icon on the home page saying I have an unread blackberry message (now 2) however when I go into blackberry messenger I have no new messages or updates. I believe it stems from a request from someone to add me to their contact list. However I do not know this contact. Their name consists of symbols and 2 thumbs up emoticons. The message that comes with the request is entirely in a foreign language of which I cannot understand the symbols. The first thing I did was to ignore the request as it was very suspicious. Since then I deleted the pin from my ignore list. After that was when I noticed the icon on my home page which wouldn't go away. I have tried getting known contacts to blackberry message me, I have sent bb messages. I have phoned out, been phoned, turned my phone off and on again and nothing has cleared it.
Today I received a review of the request ... so I declined. But then it appeared again shortly after so I decided to accept and then shortly proceeded to delete the contact from my contacts and ignore at the same time. Since then I now supposedly have 2 blackberry messages unread... however on opening the application I have no unread chats/messages and no new recent updates.
I have multiple groups in my iPhone contacts screen. I haven't found out how to delete a group list from phone contacts. So, how do you delete a Group List from iPhone contacts?
Ever since the update to 2.3.3, I am unable to add to my current groups with additional contacts. Has anyone experienced the same problem? If so, how do you add someone to a Group from the Contact List?
How do I set up a group of people from my contact list so I can continue to send texts to this same group of people without having to re-enter names each time. I am looking to send out available shifts to staff members as a group (not all people have smart phones) The Group has 30+ phone numbers. I have tried different apps however not everyone receives the messages.
I am a user of blackberry 9900. My first query is about the group i have created in the contact list.
I can create a group but when i try to edit or delete one person ,it prompt for save, discard or cancel. I am able to click on save but it never comes out of that screen. Even if i close it forcefully and go back to contact tab it opens the same screen and will not let me edit the name or delete it.
My second query is about the 3G service. My service provider is Airtel in India.
They informed that this set is not compatible with 3G services hence you can connect to laptop/desktop to access your internet but will not work on mobile.
My battery came out, and when I turned my Blackberry Curve 8900 back on , my SMS folder was missing.I was able to find it by: 1. Clicking the blackberry button 2. Clicking messages 3. Clicking the BB button again and scrolling to "View Folder" There I have options like "browser messages" "facebook messages" "mms inbox" etc. There are two sections SMS inbox and SMS outbox. I can get to my text messages that way, but its really tedious. If I click on SMS inbox it takes me to what used to be my text screen. When I click the BB button again, there are no "move options"Anyone know how to get it back to being its own icon on the front screen?
have just got my 8520 and connected my email addresses. Everything is showing up in both the Message folder and SMS folder. How can I keep the Message folder just for my email and the SMS just for my text messages?
Is there a way to get my Bold 9000 to alert me when I receive a meeting invitation? I get lots and lots of email, and I sometimes miss meeting invitations as a result.
I've received a spam invitation on calendar app through my gmail account recently and accidentally declined the invitation. I'm not a very technical person but I've managed to delete the culprit and stop gmail from automatically adding events I haven't responded to to my calendar. What I wonder is that would my declining that spam invitation do any harm to my accounts, iPhone or iMac? If yes, what should I do?
I try to send an invitation to use BBM by using an email address, it fails every time with a massage "Cannot send invitation by email since no email address is configure for this device.
I use Exchange at work and I receive lots of meeting invitations, some of them I need to forward to one my team members to attend on my behalf, or I need to extend this invitation to people I see relevant to the topic. There is no menu item or a button as "Forward". I need to know how to forward a received meeting invitation to someone else that they will receive it as an invitation and not a regular email
After upgrading to iOS 5.1, any new Exchange meeting invitations trigger an alert, as if they were an actual meeting reminder. I don't want the invitations to trigger an alert, I only want the actual meeting reminders to trigger an alert (if they were programmed to do so). I can't seem to turn off the invitation alerts without also turning off the meeting reminder alerts. Is there a way to stop invitations from triggering an alert?
Since the new JB update I have lost the ability to group email and group text. I used to be able to go to the "To:" field, type in the group name and click it. Now that is all gone. Is there a way to get it back or is this another JB issue?
I am trying to figure out how to create a group so I can just select the group when I am sending certain e-mail.I have created a group in the address book but the only way to select that group is when I am going to send MMS.I have tried selecting it for e-mail and it doesn't work.
When I receive a multimedia group text, the texts only show the originators number and not the other Group numbers.
This phone is a SAMSUNG GALAXY 6, using Android 5.0.2
Other suggested truning on Group Conversation or Group Messaging in the settings , but that option does not appear.
The instructions I received are below , but like I said, it did not show up on the settings. Is there a difference in the Android versions that would cause the menu to be different or the setting to located somewhere else?
1.) Go to main screen 2.) Go to messages 3.) tap MORE AT TOP RIGHT OF SCREEN 4.) SELECT Settings 5.) SELECT MORE SETTINGS 6.) SELECT MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES 7.) TURN GROUP CONVERSATION ON
what is group size of contacts to be added in a single group. I have created a group and trying to add up contact in that, but it has some limitations to no of contacts. Earlier I was using curve phone, in that there was not such limitation.
I travel a lot to different timezones with my iPhone, and have just got back from India which is 4.5 hour ahead of the UK. Since getting back and resetting the timezone in General - Date & Time to London, I've found what seems to be a bug.
I have my iPhone synced to our Exchange server at work.
When I received ICS meeting requests from anyone, the meeting request notification that appears shows the time in India Time Zone, even though if I then open the request it's shown as the correct time in my Calendar and in the details of the request.
As mentioned, I'm set the the correct timezone in Date & Time. And in Calendar settings I've tried with TimeZone Support both on and off, but nothing makes a difference.
I have also tried rebooting the iPhone. I haven't done a restore yet as I have loads of stuff on there and it takes ages to restore.
Since upgrading to Gingerbread (2.3.4) on the Motorola Atrix I have not been able to accept/decline/tentative meeting invitations from my phone. Is anyone else having this problem? I do have 2 (multiple) Coporate Sync accounts setup where I am syncing calendar and email etc. I have not attempted to see if having one would make it possible. I can't accept the invite from the calendar nor from the email.
if my lovely 13 year old daughter has a change in plans after school or while out with friends she will send me a text to my iphone4 and my work phone. i don't want to reply to all because i don't need my reply going to whichever phone of mine i don't reply with.what can i do?

I just got a Curve 9360, and the headphones broke inside and I got a new one and restored all my stuff onto it.I was in a BBM group, but it said that I had to be removed and added again, which I was, and it still wouldn't go away. Then the group was deleted and it still won't go away!I already did a battery pull?
