View 1 Replies View RelatedI am appauled to say that after not having my blackberry for even a year yet, it has packed up. I have purchased this blackberry from Amazon last christmas and it has been out of use for 5 months now. I cannot even turn the device on now, it barely has the white screen anymore, it pops up for less than a minute, then the device turns itself off. I cannot even back up or restore anything via pc now, it will not turn on! EVEN if the battery is fully charged!
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB curve 8900 cannot boot up. I pull the battery off and put it in again. It seem that the white screen and clock run forever. I just add some language to our phone via BB desktop manager. It worked well. But, after I turn off BB and pull battery out, then leave it for a while then put battery back, it become booting forever.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was taking a picture and the screen went totally white. I've tried pulling the battery twice and the blackberry reboot bar runs all the way through and it goes to a white screen again. I can't get it to do anything. I've never had this happen before.
View 7 Replies View Related5 months ago my 8900 catches the White Screen of death. This past Saturday night, connected it to laptop and 1 hour later its working fine. Pop the sim back into it. Works fine all day Sunday and Sunday night. At some point between 1am and 8am the screen turned white again. Now its stuck on the white screen but I still receive calls and messages but cant see anything. Tried to pull battery and do a complete wiping as well as a restore of applications. Nothing is working at this point. IDK how it worked Saturday night.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my 8900 for two years. I really love the phone, but around the beginning of December 2010, it started doing something funky. It seems that when I am either talking on the phone for a long period of time (around 15 minutes or so) or in the middle of a movie or while taking a video, the phone will go to a plain white screen, and it is impossible to turn it off or have any other interaction. In short, it freezes on that white screen. At other times, it will power itself off, and it also appears frozen, with no possible interaction. In either case, when I remove the battery for a few minutes and replace it, sometimes it comes back on, and other times I have to plug it into a charger, whether it's a USB cable or AC charger. In any case, I may have started with a full battery, but after this, the battery now only shows three and a half of five battery blocks. This is not limited to the OS, since it happened with the original OS back in December (4.6) and continues to occur now that I have upgraded to OS 5. It seems to be hardware related.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8900. Couple of days back, I left it for charging. In an hour time when I rechecked, there was some issue with display, as it was getting distorted. Post this I did a battery pull. Post that when I restarted, there was a complete white screen, nothing else. The phone is booting up, and calls are coming, (as it is vibrating and ringing, and you can pick call), but the screen is completely white, you cannot see anything else, it is completely white.
I did a complete wipe, and reinstalled the OS(OS version 5), but still it is only showing complete white screen.
My bb curve 8900 freezes with a permanent white screen No icons no indication nothing I have to take it off by removing the battery then when i put back the battery i must put the phone to charge or else the white screen will appear again while rebooting?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 8900 turns on the red light when I pop the battery in, I press the power button and the screen turns on but just shows white. After letting it power on for a few minutes I call myself (by using a friends phone) and I can answer and talk.
I searched everywhere. The computer can read the PIN #, just in case though I wiped it and reloaded the OS. Bought a T6 screwdriver, took it apart, disconnected then reconnected the display cord then turned it back on and same old white screen.
The internet on my Blackberry Curve 8520 has suddenly stopped working. Whenever I try to load a web page it appears as a white screen which says 'Loading' at the bottom, but never actually loads.I noticed it occured after I returned from abroad. Before my holiday I had turned roaming and data off but turned it back on when I was back in the UK - does this have anything to do with the internet not working? My internet provider is Orange.I've tried taking the battery out and it works for a few minutes but shortly stops again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an 8900 Curve, and have been using Wifi to connect to the internet, in my home and everywhere else I go. I'm in Mexico using Telcel. You don't need a plan just to connect to the internet, that's what WiFi is for. It just stopped connecting the other day for some reason. The wifi icon does not appear at the top. I have the browser set to HotSpot, it's the only option actually, I set the TCP/IP APN to the Mexican settings (you can do that here: http://www.blackberrytune.com/blackberry-tcp-ip-apn-settings/), but still nothing!WTF is wrong with this POS!
