My iPhone 4 dont charge , when i put it to charge it clings every 5 seconds like it is charging when there is no lights? is this problem by the charging cable or cuz the iphone a a long time on cold place>?

I've been having this issue with my phone for a couple weeks now. Originally I thought I had an issue with my battery and I replaced it. Once I replaced it, my phone would only charge after I tried about 10 different times. It would have to stay untouched and anytime the cord was touched or moved it would stop working.
Over the past 3 days though I cannot get it to charge more than 10-20 seconds no matter how much I try. I put my barttery in my girlfriends storm and it charged fine so I know it is something to do with the phone. It also has the same issue when I charge it with my computer.
Is the USB port shot and will I definitely need a new phone, or might there still be some way to save it?
The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up.

Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.

So my iphone 3gs 16 gig would not charge. Tried it in the computer and wall charger. i read online and most answers was to get a new batterie. my iphone recently started re-booting itself every 30 seconds or so. this will go on all day until the battery dies. i have tried letting the battery run completely flat then re-charing it but it still continues to re-boot on and off the charger. i have also tried to updat my software and restore the phone using itunes, but in both cases when the phone re-boots it is unable to continue with what it is doing as the phone will not stay switched on for long enough to let it complete.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone died last night like it usually happens after a long day of usage and I thought nothing of it until I got home and tried charging it. After it came back on (apple logo came on the screen) it kept vibrating signaling that it was charging every two seconds, the screen then would go black and the apple logo would come back and the vibration indicating it was charging would come back on. There was one or two times when my lock screen would show up for a second or so but then it would go black and restart itself over and over and over and over again. I cant even get the lock screen to stay on the phone for longer than a second or two and it restarts itself again.
So I then thought of plugging it into my computer to see what would happen and maybe even restoring it from a back up but it would not let me because I have to turn off find my iPhone... which I can't because I cant get it to stay on for longer than a **** second. iTunes does recognize my phone though and so does iPhoto but that's all I can do! I'm trying to let the phone COMPLETELY die as in it won't even notify me that it needs to be charged to see if that makes a difference but I have no clue what's going on nor why this is happening to me or what the solution is! I've tried holding down the home/power buttons but while it has battery all it does is keep restarting and while its dead it just tells me to plug it into a charger
I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.

The last time I backed my phone up, my contacts disappeard. So I went back in and "restored from backup.When the restore job finished,I opened up my "recent calls" and the names of my recent callers appeared for about 30 seconds and then they turned back into phone numbers. No contacts appear in my contact list.I called apple-care and all they're interested in is trying to get me to give them money.I tried free support from this website but the person on the other end was clueless...utterly clueless....did not even understand what I meant when I uttered the phrase "restore from backup." The issue is that if I am using turn-by-turn navigation software (that speaks directions) while my iPhone 4 is connected to a Bluetooth device, and the software hasn't given me directions for a minute or so, the connection seems to "go to sleep." When the next directions are issued, I miss the first part. For example, if the directions should have said "Get ready to turn left at Main Street," all I might hear is "at Main Street." Quite unhelpful!
Some details: I have tried two different navigation programs. I used MapQuest's free app for a while, and now am using the VZ Navigator app. Both had the same issue. I have also tried three different Bluetooth devices: a Plantronics Voyager headset, a Jabra headset and my car's Bluetooth speakerphone. All show the same behavior. Also, if I'm playing music through Bluetooth in my car, the problem goes away completely.
My conclusion is that the iPhone 4 is letting the connection with the Bluetooth device lapse when not in active use for some length of time, and it takes a few seconds to re-establish it. But that doesn't lead me to a solution. Anyone else experience this, and know of a fix for the problem? Is there any way to keep the connection alive without playing music, which I would obviously prefer not to do with a headset!
