I have a sony ericsson z520 and the whole phone is locked. I turn it on and it asks for unlock code, i don't remember what i put in after i changed the default one, I took it to the cingular store and they were going to give it to me then decided not to and told me i had to send it in to sony ericsson, and that's the only store within 30 miles of me.

Samsung :: A740 / Forgot Unlock Code
I had a Samsung A740 at one time and I was not really using it much so I got it canceled after my contract was up.Lately I feel the need to re-activate it, but I forget my unlock code to get into stuff like the security settings, pictures, changing my background etc.Is there some sort or default code that would wipe out whatever unlock code I have in there? Or a reset code to factory defaults or something. Can I take it to a dealer and could they reset it for me?I'd rather not have to take it in and probably get charged something for it. Also, I'd rather not have to wipe out the data because I have photos in there of my son when he was just born... but if I must I must I guess.Any help would be appreciated.

I have a W910i on T-mobile and they've kindly sent me an unlock code - unfortunately the instructions that came with the code seem to be for a different handset! (e.g. hold down the jog dial?). I'm flying abroad tomorrow and would like to get this unlocked so I can use the phone abroad, does anyone know how I can get to the phone code entry screen?

Rogers wireless, Canada. Can provide the IMEI number and any other required info but unable in hours of searching and calling get a hold of the unlock code or the nck code for my phone. Canadian law as has been told to me by rogers restricts the release of the # by the service provider. Not able to find an online calculator. Simply want to remove the lock that prevents me from using my MP3's as ringtones. Rogers locks it so you have to buy from them.

I just went and bought a Sony Ericsson W910i ( for $160 ) but it is locked to T-Mobile UK, and the only thing I can do with it is find the IMEI number and watch the demo video, so I wanted to get a remote unlock code, I would need to call T-Mobile UK for that right? What do I say since I bought it off craigslist, LNIB with a different firmware (R1FA035) and it is debranded. Would they give me a code? Would Fido be able to give me a code, or only T-Mobile, every place I look it is either 60 dollars or more for a w910i unlock code, or 25 Euros or more for a T-Mobile UK unlock.

I understand that when you use the patch unlock method, the phone will remain unlocked unless you flash with new firmware. If the firmware needs to be updated, the phone can be re-unlocked a second time using the same method (generating new patch file), correct? Does patch unlocking affect the ability to subsidy unlock? I'm trying to unlock an AT&T branded w580i. I would prefer to use subsidy unlock method, so I'm having a friend who is a AT&T customer try to get me the code. However, if there is a delay, I might use the patch method so I can start using the phone right away. I just want to make sure that these two methods of unlocking will not have compatibility issues.Would I need to reflashed the unlocked phone to lock it again before I enter the subsidy code? Once a phone is unlocked by subsidy code, is there any way it would get locked again? I know with Moto's, that is possible if you flash with a locked monsterpack. If it's possible to be locked again, would the same subsidy code work again?

I have the sony w810i on AT&T/Cingular and got a 16 digit unlock code from AT&T, however when I follow the instructions for the Network Unlock, the phone itself seems to only want 8 digits (at which point the 'OK' button in the lower left corner of the screen goes from gray to white).I am afraid of entering the wrong code and using up my 5 attempts (already used one), and wanted to know if anyone else knows what could be going on here.
