Sony Ericsson :: W960i - Broken Screen / Need Backup But Cannot Select Phone Mode
I've cracked my screen on my W960i and before it goes for repair I need to backup but I cant select phone mode, when connected it always goes to fast file transfer and I cant change it as I cant see whats going on.

Well today I was outside playing basketball with my friends. Only the usual. Then suddenly in the middle of the game when I jumped to get the ball my k800i fell of the floor. When it fell it jumped of 2 times and run away from about 7 meters. When I picked it up everything was OK except 1 thing. My screen was broke. The phone was still working but the glass was broken. Now I think I have to go to the service shop to fix it. I hope the cost isn't big!

Sony Ericsson :: W580i - Broken Screen / Trying To Get Phone Data Back Via USB
I have a Sony Ericsson W580i with a broken screen. Unfortunately it has never been backed up, and now I'm struggling to get the phone data back via USB. Using the sony ericsson PC suite, i managed to get the memory card contents back ( pictures etc) but i'm struggling with the phone data. All pointers indicate that I have to select "phone mode" on the phone dialog box. Yet with a broken screen I have no clue how this is done, which key to press. I've tried and tried random selection buttons to no avail. And because of this the phone stays in "file transfer mode", I can't sync or download the data. How to get the phone into "phone mode", so that it can be recognized and the phone data transfered to a computer. Something like, plug the cable, then press up up C or something.

It can't find built in 8GB memory card. Few weeks it saw memory randomly. And now doesn't sees at all. Guy from the phone service said, that my phones main PCB is broken or so, and it can't be fixed as my device is no more pro ducted. Computer doesn't sees phone as memory too. What can i do, to fix it?

Sony Ericsson :: W960i - Dead 8gb Memory
My phone no longer recognizes the 8gb memory module. I have tried to update the firmware, but that fails. I think it fails because the media memory is inaccessible. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could recover or replace this memory? I need to upgrade my firmware to use skype (via fring) and it's driving me crazy that I can't upgrade.

i today, downloaded (with se update ) updated software on my phone, it downloaded and then started installing. when the install had almost finished (98-99%) it suddenly said on my pc screen, "update failed".when i re-tried to update, it says i already have the latest software the phone will not turn on anymore. anyone got any ideas please?

My W960i is currently on Ebay as i have an upgrade due next week.My question is,when i delete stuff where does it go?Can i open the drive & wipe it just like a hard drive?Also,is there an easy way to restore the phone to factory settings without losing any branding or games? Yesterday i droped my Aino and now there are multiple cracks in my screen. The phone is just 5 months old but i really don't know what to do. How much does it cost to repair it? (I heard this would be about 100 euros). And how can he be repaired. Do i have to send it to sony Ericsson myself (where can i found the information to do this) or can i better send it to the shop from which i bouth the phone?

After braking the screen in a c903 i ordered a new one off ebay and replaced it, but the image is all wrong, the signal and battery are in the correct place but every theng else is wrong.. its like the resolution is incorrect appart from the indicators. Sony Ericsson :: W760i - Fast Port Broken / Shop Around For Repairing Phone
My w760i fastport has been broken for about 6months now, the warranty runs out in June so i decided to go see if i could get it repaired for free. When i went to the CarPhoneWarehouse they quoted £40 for a repair (replacment of fastport), which is quite expensive considering it wasnt my fault and down to normal usage of the fastport. So then i declined that offer and went to 02, they dont repair phones they send them of to SE repair center. So it was sent of on Tuesday and returned to 02 on the Saturday, and was repaired free of charge. So the moral of the story is, shop around for repairing your phone.

Samsung Glaxay S II :: Backup It With A Broken Screen?
My screen on my SGS2 is shattered. Before I have it fixed, I'd like to backup everything via Kies (I haven't backed up in a while before my phone fell). My phone goes on when switched on, the soft buttons light up like usual - I'm taking this as signs of normal functioning. But I simply cannot seem to get my phone to talk to Kies via USB connection through my PC. Also, am I right in assuming that the 'touch' on the screen wont work if its cracked? Is there any way I can backup my phone before I send it in to be repaired?
