Sony Ericsson :: 580i - Dropped In Water / Disassembly Instructions?
Wife dropped her phone in the toilet. Luckily, it was 'clean' water. Luckily, she listened to me when I had told her if that happened to take the battery out as quickly as possible. The water indicator behind the battery of course turned, but if I didn't see that I couldn't tell you it had been dropped in the water.
I'd like to take it apart at least a little ways to make sure all the water is dried up. All I see are two screws near the bottom, but I can't see how it would allow me to take the phone apart further. Advice? This was a Valentine's Day gift for my wife, and I'm sure she would love to have it working again.

Sony Ericsson :: Broken V800 / DSS - 25 / Need To Flash Firmware?
My V800 is broken, it only runs for few seconds after i enter pin and then it goes to reboot loop. I'm hoping that re flashing it would fix the problem, but i can't find a way to flash the firmware with DSS-25. SEUS fails at around 80% so i need a 3rd party application. Is there any way to flash with DSS-25? I will not buy any other devices or cables.

Samsung :: SGH-T609 Disassembly / Repair Instructions?
Does anyone know how to disassemble the LCD portion of the SGH-T609? My fiancee couldn't find her phone for a couple days, and the battery was dead, so calling didn't help. This morning, I found it.on the railing of the deck. Oh, and it rained like an SoB last night, for the first time in weeks. Upon taking the back cover off, there was some water in the battery compartment, and the front (outside) LCD had condensation and a couple drops on it. On the bright side, there was no power to the phone, so nothing should have short-circuited. On the not-so-bright side, even after putting it in the oven at 150 degF, there is condensation and small water droplets on the front LCD (or, more accurately, the plastic covering it).So far, I've gotten two mini screws out from the base of the upper part of the clamshell, and can get a thumbnail in between the two parts, but that's all. I want to open it up so that I can get the water out.

HTC :: Touch Diamond (Telus) Service Manual Or Disassembly Instructions?
The internal speaker is intermittently cutting out on my HTC Touch Diamond from Telus and I'd like to open it up to check the connections and replace the speaker if necessary. However it's more difficult than I thought to take it apart without breaking something. The Touch Diamond service manual on the XDA Developers site is only for the US version of the device, not the Telus version, so the instructions are completely different.
Does anyone have the Telus Touch Diamond service manual, or a link to specific instructions for the disassembly of the Telus Touch Diamond?

Sony Ericsson :: W550i Vs W600i / Housing Disassembly Guide?
Even though the W600i has been out for a while now, some people still use it, probably because of its swivel design (that's why I keep it). Also, it's easy to tell people who want to change the housing to refer to the How-To guide of the S700/S710. But here's something I decided to do because I've had some people ask me if it's easy to take apart the W600i. Others have tried to do a housing swap, and have either missed a part or put it back together improperly.

Sony Ericsson :: Z500a - Disassembly / Screen Attached To Top Faceplate?
I took the entire face plate off tonight, but I couldn't get the last part off, with the screen. I'm afraid to use force because I don't want to mess up the screen. I guess my question is: Is the screen attached to the top faceplate? I don't want to damage it, or take any chances. Whoever has previously taken it apart, please let me know if some force is required and it'll be fine, or if I should be careful because I might mess up the screen.

Sony Ericsson :: Unlock Instructions For SE T637
I got unlock code/instructions from AT&T for my ATT branded SE T637. I am gonna use this phone for Rogers Pay as U Go. First step in the instuctions, ask to insert other company sim. and then asks to press left arrow key.
1. Insert non-Cingular SIM card
2. Power on the handset
3. Press the left Arrow (<) button
4. Press the star (*) button twice
5. Press the left Arrow (<) button
Is first step necessary? I don't currently have a Rogers SIM. I wanted to unlock the phone first, and if successful then buy Rogers SIM. I don't see any 'left Arrow' button . I'm wondering if it only shows up when you insert non-AT&T SIM.

Samsung :: D840 - Disassembly
I've broken my screen and looked all over google looking for how to disassemble it properly. I've picked up the screen from ebay, and I wanted to take it apart.. so upon arrival, I can just pop in the screen. I've found some tutorials for the D900 and E900, but they're not similar enough.

Samsung :: Disassembly Of A737
A friend of mine threw her A737 slider at her couch which bounced off and hit the floor pretty hard and now the slide doesn't work properly. It looks like the left slide mechanism has popped out of the channel that it slides into...so the screen part is now crooked and raised on that side. I need instructions on how to take apart the phone so that I can hopefully put it back together correctly thereby fixing the slide. Anyone have the disassembly instructions?

Samsung :: D807 Disassembly Guide
so after about 2000 useless posts on the forum, I decided its time for something useful. I got this d807 with a broken screen (As do many other people) and seeing there is no guide on the net as to how to take it apart, I decided I'll make one myself .Just so nobody gets pissed off after they wreck their phone, this method worked for me. I do not guarantee it will work for you, any damage to your phone resulting from this is your own responsibilty. That being said I took my phone apart twice without any damage.Alright to start off here is what I used:Screwdrivers, cellphone opening tool and my hand

Samsung :: A707 Sync LCD Disassembly
I managed to crack the LCD on my Samsung A707, and got a replacement one. How would I open up the top part of the phone to attach the screen? I see 4 visible screws, which I have unscrewed. After unscrewing them, I just force the cover apart, but it takes a lot of force and it doesn't come off. Is there something I'm missing or should I just wrench it apart?

Motorola :: E815 Disassembly And Assemble To Replace LCD
I'm new here, and I did some searching and it was pretty difficult to find any info on how to take my E815 apart and repair it. Is it against the rules to discuss or post pictures? Is there another site I need to go to?I finally found some assembly help at an obscure link and the parts.
My E815 took a hit on the inside LCD and it is mostly bright white when powered up. Incoming and outgoing calls work fine. As I said, I found some info on-line. I doubt that I would have figured it out without breaking something first.

Sony Ericsson :: Different Kinds Of Sony Ericsson G705 LCD Screens?
As the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.

Sony Ericsson :: Using Sony Ericsson K700 With An Apple Mac
Using the Sony Ericsson K700 with an Apple Mac. This information is now out-of-date since Apple released iSync v1.5 and Mac OS X 10.3.5, but is here for users of earlier OS's
After getting my K700 today and only reading a few comments from Mac users I thought I’d provide my findings on using the K700 with a Mac. I've read of a few problems getting the K700 to sync so until Apple releases an update to iSync here’s how I paired and synced my K700i. I'm using Mac OS X 10.3.4 and the latest Bluetooth and iSync updates.
1. Delete any pairings from the phone and the Mac (Bluetooth Preference Pane)
2. On the phone, go to Connectivity > Bluetooth > My devices > New device
3. It will search for the Mac. Select it when found and enter any passcode.
4. The Pairing request screen will appear on the Mac so enter the passcode:
5. Then you will be asked which services you want to use. Check all.
6. Open “Bluetooth Setup Assistant” on the Mac. Click ‘Continue’ then choose ‘Mobile Phone’ from the list.
7. It will search for your phone, select it and click ‘Continue’
8. It will attempt to pair with the phone.
9. On the phone choose Yes to Add it to My Devices and enter the passcode suggested by the Mac
10. Select “Use with Address Book.”
11. Open ‘iSync’ and your K700 should be added to the list of items to sync.
12. Click on the K700 icon, choose your options then click “Sync Now”
- iCal seems to sync perfectly
- Address Book syncs names, phone numbers and email addresses but not postal addresses etc. I guess this will require an update to iSync.
Salling Clicker isn’t fully compatible yet. Some functions work, some don’t.
BluePhoneMenu seems to work fully, although it hasn’t yet been certified by the developer.
Bluetooth File Transfer works fine and is over 4 times faster than the T610. ~5k/sec on the T610 compared to 22k/sec on the K700!
AAC audio files as encoded by iTunes playback in the phone perfectly as long as you change the file extension to .mp4
Update 25.06.04 07:05 Protected music purchased from the iTunes Music Store cannot be played. It transfers to the phone only to be followed by a "Cannot play this video" message. The file then seems to be 'lost' in the phone. It takes up memory but doesn't appear in the File Manager and seems it can't be deleted without a master reset. Update 25.06.04 07:05 Mac OS X's Address Book works perfectly for making and recieving calls, Caller ID, sending and receiving SMSs.
