Sony Ericsson :: V800 - Need Disassembly Instructions?Oct 29, 2007
I really need some help disassembling my v800, I've got down to the part of taking off the camera, now I need to know how to get into the upper part.

Wife dropped her phone in the toilet. Luckily, it was 'clean' water. Luckily, she listened to me when I had told her if that happened to take the battery out as quickly as possible. The water indicator behind the battery of course turned, but if I didn't see that I couldn't tell you it had been dropped in the water.
I'd like to take it apart at least a little ways to make sure all the water is dried up. All I see are two screws near the bottom, but I can't see how it would allow me to take the phone apart further. Advice? This was a Valentine's Day gift for my wife, and I'm sure she would love to have it working again.
My V800 is broken, it only runs for few seconds after i enter pin and then it goes to reboot loop. I'm hoping that re flashing it would fix the problem, but i can't find a way to flash the firmware with DSS-25. SEUS fails at around 80% so i need a 3rd party application. Is there any way to flash with DSS-25? I will not buy any other devices or cables.View 1 Replies View Related
I have an LG VX4500 that works perfectly.Unfortunately, I've roughed it up a bit in my travels, and need to replace more than just the faceplate, but the entire shell. Is there a guide or instructions to disassemble the VX4500, or perhaps an LG service manual?View 5 Replies View Related
Does anyone know how to disassemble the LCD portion of the SGH-T609? My fiancee couldn't find her phone for a couple days, and the battery was dead, so calling didn't help. This morning, I found it.on the railing of the deck. Oh, and it rained like an SoB last night, for the first time in weeks. Upon taking the back cover off, there was some water in the battery compartment, and the front (outside) LCD had condensation and a couple drops on it. On the bright side, there was no power to the phone, so nothing should have short-circuited. On the not-so-bright side, even after putting it in the oven at 150 degF, there is condensation and small water droplets on the front LCD (or, more accurately, the plastic covering it).So far, I've gotten two mini screws out from the base of the upper part of the clamshell, and can get a thumbnail in between the two parts, but that's all. I want to open it up so that I can get the water out.View 2 Replies View Related
The internal speaker is intermittently cutting out on my HTC Touch Diamond from Telus and I'd like to open it up to check the connections and replace the speaker if necessary. However it's more difficult than I thought to take it apart without breaking something. The Touch Diamond service manual on the XDA Developers site is only for the US version of the device, not the Telus version, so the instructions are completely different.
Does anyone have the Telus Touch Diamond service manual, or a link to specific instructions for the disassembly of the Telus Touch Diamond?
I've just receive my black and orange housing for my silver w610. Any i want to do some mixing and matching but i can for the life of me figure out how i get the phone apart! I have just disassembled my M600i to replace the plastic (front) part of the screen component, but realize the metal (back) part of the screen and the plastic (front) layer are stuck together.Do you know if (and how) I can take these apart? I have damaged the plastic part and have a brand new one that I could install.if only I knew how to separate the two layers! It would be much appreciated if you could help me.View 4 Replies View Related
Even though the W600i has been out for a while now, some people still use it, probably because of its swivel design (that's why I keep it). Also, it's easy to tell people who want to change the housing to refer to the How-To guide of the S700/S710. But here's something I decided to do because I've had some people ask me if it's easy to take apart the W600i. Others have tried to do a housing swap, and have either missed a part or put it back together improperly.View 9 Replies View Related
I took the entire face plate off tonight, but I couldn't get the last part off, with the screen. I'm afraid to use force because I don't want to mess up the screen. I guess my question is: Is the screen attached to the top faceplate? I don't want to damage it, or take any chances. Whoever has previously taken it apart, please let me know if some force is required and it'll be fine, or if I should be careful because I might mess up the screen.View 3 Replies View Related

I got unlock code/instructions from AT&T for my ATT branded SE T637. I am gonna use this phone for Rogers Pay as U Go. First step in the instuctions, ask to insert other company sim. and then asks to press left arrow key.
1. Insert non-Cingular SIM card
2. Power on the handset
3. Press the left Arrow (<) button
4. Press the star (*) button twice
5. Press the left Arrow (<) button
Is first step necessary? I don't currently have a Rogers SIM. I wanted to unlock the phone first, and if successful then buy Rogers SIM. I don't see any 'left Arrow' button . I'm wondering if it only shows up when you insert non-AT&T SIM.

I've broken my screen and looked all over google looking for how to disassemble it properly. I've picked up the screen from ebay, and I wanted to take it apart.. so upon arrival, I can just pop in the screen. I've found some tutorials for the D900 and E900, but they're not similar enough.View 7 Replies View Related
A friend of mine threw her A737 slider at her couch which bounced off and hit the floor pretty hard and now the slide doesn't work properly. It looks like the left slide mechanism has popped out of the channel that it slides into...so the screen part is now crooked and raised on that side. I need instructions on how to take apart the phone so that I can hopefully put it back together correctly thereby fixing the slide. Anyone have the disassembly instructions?View 3 Replies View Related
so after about 2000 useless posts on the forum, I decided its time for something useful. I got this d807 with a broken screen (As do many other people) and seeing there is no guide on the net as to how to take it apart, I decided I'll make one myself .Just so nobody gets pissed off after they wreck their phone, this method worked for me. I do not guarantee it will work for you, any damage to your phone resulting from this is your own responsibilty. That being said I took my phone apart twice without any damage.Alright to start off here is what I used:Screwdrivers, cellphone opening tool and my handView 15 Replies View Related

I managed to crack the LCD on my Samsung A707, and got a replacement one. How would I open up the top part of the phone to attach the screen? I see 4 visible screws, which I have unscrewed. After unscrewing them, I just force the cover apart, but it takes a lot of force and it doesn't come off. Is there something I'm missing or should I just wrench it apart?View 1 Replies View Related
I just got a black trackball to replace the white one on my 8350i, but disassembly is more difficult than on my old 8320. Anyone know where I could find directions or a guide to take it apart? I have searched everywhere and have not found an answer.View 14 Replies View Related
I'm new here, and I did some searching and it was pretty difficult to find any info on how to take my E815 apart and repair it. Is it against the rules to discuss or post pictures? Is there another site I need to go to?I finally found some assembly help at an obscure link and the parts.
My E815 took a hit on the inside LCD and it is mostly bright white when powered up. Incoming and outgoing calls work fine. As I said, I found some info on-line. I doubt that I would have figured it out without breaking something first.
can anyone help me? i need a guide for disassembly of a d807. I messed up the screen on one phone, then i got a replacement and its water damaged. I need to put the good lcd with the good phone.View 7 Replies View Related

I thought I may start an Elm/Hazel thread for discussion as it seems many of you have one of the two phones now. I wanted to do this to discuss any problems with things like firmware & issues & other stuff rather than discussing this in the picture thread. As the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
I've had my world edition phone through bell mobility here in vancouver, BC for about 1.5 years. I've never upgraded it at all. My phone really has no issues other than, well, looking like it's 1.5 years old. Should I being doing an update? What would I benefit from one? From poking around seems like the .127 one is most stable but is it even worth doing? If so, where can I find the update and instructions?View 5 Replies View Related

Please help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. Please any suggestions this phone has been reliable upto this piont
