Please i need urgently the steps to disassemble this phone i have tried to do it but im a little worried to "hurt" it i need to replace the keypad and i have only 3 days to do it

How the gps maps work on c905 or any new phone really... Do you have to connect to the internet to use the function (i.e google maps) Or are the maps pre loaded....i dont have a god tariff for internet usage, so gps would bepontless for me if you had to use internet.

Sony Ericsson :: C905 / Need Debranding?
I've decided to unbrand my C905 to try and fix the problems with my GPS. I have a few questions. 1. Is there a step by step guide on how to do this? The Davinich site seems to assume you know what you are doing. 2. Can I use the PC Suite to backup my phone before debranding, and then restore everything after? 3. Is the supplied USB cable that came with the phone ok to use? 4. What do I do for operator settings, and internee settings? These will be lost when debranding correct?

just recently my C905 has stopped vibrating for no apparent reason! i have it on vibrate most of the time but surely this shouldn't be a reason why should it? i have not dropped it at all. Do i need to do a master reset at all or is there something else that i can do get it to vibrate?

I was an early adopter of the c905, I bought it online and it came from Singapore here to the U.S. I now have the earpiece issue, SE USA says them wont fix it and I would have to send it to SE Singapore to get it worked on.

i want to debrand my c905 so i can get rid of the ugly orange stuff and get back stuff that they took of the phone. i dont want to risk the "free" way of debranding it so i was thinking of using davinci team to debrand it. i just wanted to know if any1 has has had any problems after debranding? also how do you know which firmware to flash the phone with as there are loads to choose from? and is ther any way i can get the 20% off promo code for the site?

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem like this: - connect phone via USB, pops up option re. which mode to go into, pick phone mode, shows up in PC as connected but battery icon on phone doesn't change to charge (despite charging function definitely being on in the menu) - unplug phone from USB - switch off phone - plug into USB - phone enters mass storage mode, charging icon comes on, phone charges OK So it only seems to want to charge when switched off Obviously better than not doing it at all but I can't understand why it's doing this!

I have been playing with the internal GPS and the included software Wayfinder.But im really dissapointed of the reciepment of the GPS! very bad signal when you are on vacation with friends at forest on a camping place for example.And i also tried to use it on the highway.. i was sitting in the backseat with the phone up in my side windows.when GPS was connected disconnected...connected...disconnected..no stable..not even with clear sight! Im using the latest firmware that are available on SE homepage.Is this internal GPS this bad? or is it a C905 software thing/bug?Are there any other software for this GPS-phone that i can use instead of Wayfinder Navigator?

Sony Ericsson :: C905 Why Was There Never A Replacement?
When they released the K850i the middle model up before the next flagship was C902, before that the K810i how come we never got like a C906? I guess the W995 was but am I right in saying Sony Ericsson are done with Walkman and Cybershot brands for cheapness? Is the C905 the last Cybershot and is the W995 the last walkman? I know there doing a entertainment phone or something? I think SE have lost way now. Nokia are poor but reliable. LG and Samsung especially are making the best phones now. I'm off to get my Pixon 12 before the end of the year. Full marks for the W995 though it's what the C905 should have been. I hope they keep making new good phones as I'd hate to see them go the way Motorola and Sagem went.I can't see me buying another SE for a while now as there's no decent flagships apart from the 12MP one. No non touch alternatives. I guess the credit crunch means less SE phones?

I got the phone about a week ago , GPS didn't work since i got it . I installed the newest software R1FA035 ,and the result was. When i enter the current status: after around 3 or 5 m. it finds around 3 or 4 satellites and they are located on the top of the screen 2 right and 2 left , they are outside the circle. before updating it could find 1 or 2 max. at same locations , but the new soft finds 4 and faster the old soft was R1FA035 too so it is always searching and never connected. When i use A-GPS " Internet " it locates my town on google maps and then wait for GPS signal , which doesn't connect like i said is it a software problem ? or hardware ? or regional " i'm from Egypt?hope you can help me , cause i can ask to change the phone this week " 14 days from buying "This Message was edited by: George0Isk on 2010-05-19 23:09 ]
