Samsung :: Code To Put In Phone / Open Up Java To Install .jar Files
Feb 7, 2008
I would like to know the code to put into my phone that will allow me to open up Java to install .jar files. The other samsung codes do not work on the blast, and I havnt found the blast code yet. If anyone has it,it would be greatly appreciated.
I just upgraded from the d820 (flashed t809) and I would like to know how to install java apps using jar jad files. Has anyone had success doing this on a t659? So far I have tried the standard codes: *#9998*install# and *#9998*javainstall# but those don't seem to work.
I have been googling this for three days now, and have found countless topics on forums where people ask how to install java games on their U700's and none get their answer.I tried BitPim... it wouldn't pick up my phone at all.. once it picked up my phone and it didn't recognise it (even though it was set to 'other phone').Is there any code I can enter to enable the installation of java applications from my memory stick/phone memory? I have the .jar and .jad files.
how to install java games that or bluetoothed to the phone. I search't everywhere and everything, but it's like the phone is dead. Does anybody also know some code's for the phone, not unlock codes, but just other kind of codes?.
For a long time AT&T nee Cingular has locked me out of their MEdia (AT&T) Mall, and prevented me from running desirable apps by signing them with a "secret" certificate only available on their branded phones.Well, thanks to a2uploader and the recent acquisition of a locked AT&T phone I have been able to snag these Preferred and Trusted Java signing root certificates. As well as the entire AT&T customization package, which gives me a good template to play with my own if I so desire. (As an aside, I can also now download from the AT&T Mall using a Firefox add-on which allows me to spoof a particular supported phone's User-Agent string.)I digress. When I sent these certificates to my unlocked K850i it places them in the Trusted Cert store rather than the Java Cert store and the apps still have problems running and fail to install using the signed JAD. I have not tried it, but I assume my K790a will behave the same way. Now, the XML which defines the AT&T customizations references the certificates as well as the proper store location for them. Is this my only way to force a cert into the Java store? This also leads into how can I install client certificates?
I got Samsung F700 unlocked phone in US. For some reason , I am unable to install any Java application on this phone as it keeps erroring out as " Unsupported Content ".Is there some way to enable java on this phone.
I have found the java code for the SGH-E900 on a forum site. Unfortunately the install midlet menu item is password protected. Could anyone help out with this?[I have been searching for the e900 unlock code and have found it to get to the java menu type *#9998*5282#. At this menu i believe you have to install midlet it is not the samsung password or either of the ones i have chosen. please if someone finds it out or knows it could they post thank.] <--Quote from
I got a T-629 about 2 weeks ago and found out how to install java games a week ago. But for some reason, the keypads doesnt work properly when playing a game. This happened to all games including the locked games.
I am new to samsung! Is it not possible to install Java games straight to the phone? And are things like themes etc not avaliable for the Pixon or samsung in general? I have done various google searches and get nothing whatsoever!
One friend got Samsung SGH-E590 but he tells me that can't install java games. The problem is there that his phone doesn't recognize the jar and jad files. There have some code to activate the java installer but i don't know it.
After hours upon hours of banging secret codes into my Samsung SGH-P310 (HPE platform) looking for another secret Java menu that would allow me to install Java games from the filesystem ... I have found the code that works for the P310 ... and hopefully will work for many of the other HPE platforms you are all using where the *#9998*5282* secret Java menu has only two menu items i.e. the "Install Midlet" option is missing. For the P310, I have found that if you type in the following code.
... you get a message that just says "Activated". (BTW, the code above equates to typing in "*#9998*javainstall#"). If you then view (click on, open, etc) a .jad file on the filesystem it opens the file (similar as when you access a .jad from WAP) showing the details with the option to install ... previously it would just say "unsupported file type" when I did this
Trying to install java games from PC to phone. Was looking at the threads for D900 seems to be a program you can use for that phone, is there a way ie. special code you can type in to put the phone into serial cable download mode. Tried the special codes #*9998*5282# or #*9998*46782555282#.
Not to sure where to post this question, but seeing as it a Samsung (SPH M510) phone I'm using here goes. I've read a few posts suggesting that signing your own applications is painstaking and possibly expensive. But no one actually say how to do it. I read people saying that you buy a certificate and install it in the phone. But what if I just copy the certificates already in the phone? How do I use those to sign an application? Would it work?
I've been playing around with an old sgh-t309 and can't seem to get apps or games to install be it from the web or serial connect ppp etc. The phone is unlocked and is using t-mobile sidekick prepaid. Posting from it now actually.
The d900i has no way to read pdf files. So, does anyone know of a working java pdf viewer? I found this place, but unfortunately it doesnt work on my phone. Loads up, can browse files, even see the info about the pdf. But when you try and load it, just sits at loading forever. Was a very small pdf that I tested too.
What does each one hold and do? Can you flash without either one as I only have .bin file? Also, somebody mentioned that they can just send java games to the T809 by bluetooth and install. Maybe this has to due with having 2 or 3 Version firmware?
what this phone has been out for over 2 years and no one has been able to do anything with it? All I can remember was the breakthru that let everyone install java apps without wep but is there anything new?
I was trying to install JAVA games on my Samsung E590. I failed to accomplish that endeavor, so I gave up on it. Nothing unusual has occurred. After I tried using my other SIM on the phone (which was locked on the same network) and returned my original SIM, the "Limited Service" function came up, blocking my calls and even SMS. Can anybody here tell me what's exactly wrong with my unit? How can this be "undone" or how to resolve this?
okay I need to install jar jad files I have both onto my samsung a727 without usb cable from the micro sd card what's the code I have to enter? here's some of the instructions im not sure where I enter the number code? ) Download Softick PPP and Samsung Java Uploader.exe . Also JADmaker if required. 2) Install SoftickPPP according to this Polish website. I don't understand Polish, but the pictures tell enough of the story. Set up your bluetooth COM ports in the SoftickPPP bluetooth/serial settings. My Bluetooth COM ports are either 24, 25 or 26. I leave them all ticked. 3) Enter *#52828378# on the phone to access the Java Test Menu. Choose OTA type setting, choose Serial bearer OTA. Click select. (This seems to need to be changed back to GPRS bearer OTA for Samsung PC Studio to connect)
