is there anyway to change the right soft key that is defaulted to the browser icon? Second, does anyone have the T-Mobile browser settings for this phone, can't seem to get the T Mobile configurator to work.
I have a T329 unlocked from T-Mobile and I use it with either Rogers Wireless or Fido (Canada). Is there anyway that I can change the browser/wap settings so that I can use a browser setup other than T-Mobile's T-Zones? This is a back-up phone and I don't use a mobile browser too often, but it's handy to have it there, just in case.
i have a cingular branded samsung d807 that i am trying to get to work on tmo. i used the online settings configurator to send the tzones setting to the handset. i hit options, and install per directions. i then type in the pin, only to receive and invalid pin message.
Can someone help me out with the settings for my blackjack II. I tried the Blackjack 1 Settings and nothing. I tried searching for a Blackjack II T-mobile settings for mms and internet and no luck. Can someone please send me a step by step of setting up the phone. It would be great if someone can do that for me. Or send me to the right way.
Anyone know how it's done? A have a demo game I like to play and it seems to load the browser after each game ends. The media player loads the channel listing by default, and there's another few bytes. It's adding up to be another 5-6$ a month for a feature that I get absolutely nothing out of.
I have had this phone on the Bell network for a little over two months and keep getting billed for mobile browser usage that I know I never intentionally use. I do not use the mobile browser/internet aspect at all, I use the phone as a phone and for texting. After the first bill came in with over $25.00 of data charges I called Bell and got the they are legit charges and maybe you should just pay us a extra $10/ month for unlimited data to save yourself some money.I now lock the face keys and have bought a phone case and don't carry the phone in my pocket at all now so I don't believe there is any accidental button pushed which causes the phone to go online. The per usage data is low 0.014 or 0.0068 megabytes per use but it happens every day and adds up.Is there a feature I may have inadvertently turned on in the phone which causes it to go online to update some thing? I've gone through the phone and do not see anything obvious.

Does anyone have a step-by-step procedure for enabling AT&T's Media Net on a T-Mobile Samsung Gravity? From my reading, access to profiles seems to be: *#87927#, Then it gets a little dicey. I'm trying to get my kid's Gravity to send/receive pictures. He's on the AT&T unlimited txt msg package....and pictures are included in the pkg.
I'm having an issue trying to connect using WIFI in my browser. I cannot find anyplace to put in the username and password for my proxy server at work.I went into the advanced settings for WIFI and put the details for the proxy server in there, but when i browse i get a 'Proxy Authentication required' error in the browser but no prompt to fill in details.
I have a Samsung Omnia i900 and canít find the Internet or MMS settings for AT&T anywhere. It runs windows mobile 6.1 so not sure if it is the same as other 6.1 devices.
The places that it appears that I have to set things are as follows:
My Internet 1)Name- 2)Number- 3)Check box for this network connects to the internet 4)Check box for this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet 5)Proxy server- 6)There is an Advanced button that has HTTP, WAP, Secure WAP, and Socks types. For each type it ask for the Server, Server Port Number, Username, Password, and Domain.
MMS Options 1)Profile Name (donít think this matters) 2)MMSC- 3)Data Connections (I think you select the My Internet profile that would be created for AT&T) 4)Gateway- dropdown options are WAP 1.0, WAP 2.0, or NONE 5)IP Address- 6)Port-
Also, before you say that MMS/Internet settings are available everywhere please understand that I have tried for about a week now and can not find ALL of these settings. I have been able to get the internet to work but no luck at all on the MMS. I actually own a chain of AT&T stores and have spent countless hours with tech support and browsing on the internet and no matter how I transpose the settings that I am able to find I can't get everything to work.
The browser on my Nokia 701 is great -certainly much better than past versions- but websites 'see' it as a full size browser and so deliver it full size web pages. I have found this leads to much dragging and zooming. If the site also has pop-ups (which can fully obscure the screen!) this can lead to misclicks, impossible to navigate sites etc. Also full size webpages are slow to load and more expensive on data. † This issue has led me to either manually navigating to the mobile versions of the websites I like (bit of a pain) or to simply use the Opera Mini browser instead. The Opera browser is free and websites 'recognise' it as a mobile browser. This means without any work when I surf I instantly get the mobile version of the website I want (assuming one exists), easy to navigate and fast (and so cheaper) to load. In many cases this works much better for me. † So I think Nokia have missed a trick here. Maybe they should offer a feature whereby the user can tell their browser to find either mobile-friendly pages or normal ones. They could even add in a second browser shortcut, one which launches the Nokia browser in a 'mobile' mode.
Now running a 701, beautiful phone to handle and use...now that it has stopped sending my personal information to Nokia via 360Panel [rolls eyes]
I've followed all the settings here for the browser, opened the hidden code to change it from EGPRS to GPRS, opened the hidden code to change it from Germany (#1) to the USA (#16) and STILL T-zones give's me:
Error Unknown Your homepage is temporarily unavailable. Please try later.
I have T-Mobile's MDA and IT can sit right next to the D-900 and get T-Zones, so it's not reception.
Everything else seems to work just fine. I've gotten my own ring tone, my own wallpaper, BlueTooth connects with my headphone, etc. Just no T-zone.
I don't use it too much, but I like to have it available.
So far that's one of my two gripes about the D-900. The other is that it won't take the same battery as the T-809 and the D-820. Cables, chargers, headsets, B/T all are the same as the other two.
I need help!! Can someone show me the way to unlock or transfer my Verizon Samsung SCH-A870 settings to a locked T-Mobile (needs to be unlocked) Motorola v360. I want to use the Motorola phone for Verizon instead of the Samsung. In addittion, is there any way I can get the "full" version of Verizion abilities through a software fix, or is it a Verizon thing?
Is there a way to "Sign-in to Mobile" in Yahoo Messenger using a mobile applications or browser?Yahoo Messenger is blocked in our office' network and it's time-consuming just to check if i have any msg using my mobile everytime.Sony Ericsson K770i - R8BC004 - Globe
Helping a friend with their 8830. They are on the Alltel/Verizon network and I have looked over their phone thoroughly and cannot find a browser. I checked in Advanced Settings> Browser and nothing is listed in there. They have a data plan but can't utilize it! I even updated them to the 4.5 OS and still no browser. Any ideas?
I had to jump in a pool to save my 2 year old little girl. She had fallen. She is ok but my storm didn't make it. I filed an insurance claim and got a new one. I have been able to load all of my previous apps but I am missing the web browser. It wasn't on the phone when I received it. I connected to Desktop Manger thinking I could just install from there but it is not highlighted so I cannot select it. Another note: when I go to Browser settings under options it does not show anything. It is just blank.
When I had my 8310 curve there were a crapload of options in the brower settings and one of them was to select which type of brower it viewed the webpage as, (blackberry, IE, etc.)
anyways, I'd like to know if this option still exists, because I'm trying to access a mobile website but its coming up as the full website. When I tried putting an m. in front of the website it didnt work so I'm not sure how to access it.
I'm using the T-Mobile Total Internet Plan, so my Cellular Data Network APN is set to internet2. voicestream. com, NOT wap. What should my MMS settings be set to? The various ones I've found on Google haven't functioned so far. And sometimes the MMS APN field goes blank when I exit the menu even though I entered settings. :/
First of all before i get falmmed and what not ive been through the whole official post and all people do is post the t-mobile link with mms settings for the kg800 but those dont work. Is there anyone on here that actually has picture mail working on their viewty and if they do can they post the exact setting Please. ive already seen the mmsc url the proxy port and everything else but they just dont seem to work on this phone.
After updating to .315, I got stuck with this CRAP tmobile browser that autoloads some garbage homepage on startup, I cant change the homepage (input field wont change) and I cant get it not to autoload that page! I want the old BB browser (which doesnt seem to be an option anymore!) where upon running it automatically took me to the address bar/google search. HELP! downgrading to .231 has done nothing!
P.S and is there ANY fix for that utterly ridiculous BBM blank input field bug? Or do I have to downgrade to pre-5.0?
There are websites which detect what kind of browser you are accessing them with.If it detects a mobile browser, it presents a mobile interface. Gmail for one, had a very nice trimmed-down mobile interface.Well, it seems since the V9 update, Gmail and other sites no longer think the Voyager browser is a mobile browser. It thinks that it's an obsolete browser like IE6. So, Gmail still works, but you get the "Basic HTML" view, which is incredibly slow and difficult to use on the Voyager. I want my mobile Gmail back.I remember there used to be a setting for the browser version you wanted presented to the server, but I don't see that option anymore. Has anyone else encountered this and/or know how to fix it?
I am trying to get a Motorola A780 set-up to work with my existing t-mobile plan, I had no problems setting up my MotoMing but have hit a brick wall with this one.I would like to get it set up so I can send mms, and sms messages and get the browser up and running.
I have looked everywhere on how to set up my unlocked 8525 to send mms messages on my tmobile network. The info on the tmobile site does not work- has anyone been successful and can tell me how to set it up?
I just purchased an unlock att tilt and I have been playing around with it trying to get the thing configured to my likeing since I am with T-mobile and it is an ATT phone, but I have the blackberry plan for t-mobile I looked at the wiki site and the data settings aren't working correctly what needs to be done please help me so I can get my phone set up for data as well as picture messaging.
I recently purchased a t-mobile Dash and was wondering if its even possible to configure the proxy settings to use WAP outside of t-mobile. I signed up with hopke.net, changed my proxy settings according to the instructions, but still can't get the internet working.
