Just sorting out some boxes and I found my old Clearnet/Telus SCH 8580. Thought I maybe able to give it away, who knows? If not it will go to a recycle box. Anyhow I wanted to clear the phone and reset to factory settings but the phone asks for a lock code! I dont remember ever using a code, if I did I obviously have erased from my own memory.Maybe there was a default code I used? Does any one have any idea or option to remove lock code.
Like so many people here, i have also forgotten my phone Lock Code. So today i have decided to reset it anyhow and while playing with my phone K850i - A2 phone, db3150, BINGO, i found the way. May be this should work with all platform phones. But still this has to be confirmed by the owner of different platform phones. The solution is- look in your FS in this folder. tpa/preset/default now delete this file- 'security_domain_settings'. That's it. Your Phone Lock Code is reset to 0000.Before deleting you might want to back up that file. Though it is not required. Tested by me.Pls confirm this method by different platform phone users. edit: Just found that by deleting this file, it is not recreated. so there might be some functions which will not be able to use if you delete it. But by activating it, it serves the purpose. asking for passward and all. if you give wrong passward, it will not let you access. Do it at your risk. this means if you forget the passward again, you will not able to retrive it. edit 2 : By flashing the phone this file is recreated and you will have the same passward as you have set after deleting that file. In my opnion, just flash your phone after you use the above mentioned method.
I have a SE Naite which I must say is awesome. Yesterday the phone switched off due to low battery. But when I tried switching it on it is asking for a code. Since its been long I have forgotten it. Is there anyway to retrieve it or reset it? I tried using the XS++(v3.1) tool but it seems that its not able to retrieve any info from phone.
I have made it further then most people some can't even get their computer to recognize the phone but anyways to my question. I have unicdma and cdma workshop. I cannot get the unlock code its say unknown. Can someone help me with this. I am and trying to flash cricket.
i have set a security code on my phone and now when i enter it to unlock and use the device it rejects my code saying that its wrong, (my OLD 3330 used to do that but only after entering the code incorrectly a couple times you would then have to take the battery out and switch the phone on again then enter the code and it would work) so i have tried to take the battery out and still no luck.anybody know how to do a hard reset on the phone or a code that will reset the security code please help me†
I have a Samsung SGH-U900 that I havenít used for over a year. My main phone, an iPhone, has gone back into repair, again! So I decided to use the Samsung, but I had forgotten the sim lock code and the phone lock code. Now I have managed to guess the sim lock code so thatís ok, but I canít remember the phone lock, I donít want to unlock my phone to all networks, I just wanna get back into it. Does anyone please know how to bypass the phone lock so I can get back into it and start using it.My local phone shop said they can do it for a fee but there might be a risk that I loose all my stored photos, texts, contacts etc, but I wanna know if there is a way to bypass the phone lock without the risk of wiping the phone clean.
I just bought a phone on ebay and it is already unlocked therefore accepting any simcard, however when you turn ON the phone, the first thing it asks is for the "phone lock" code.
I have found many forums that say use 00000000 or some other code that resets it back to zeroes, but none of them work. Some other forums say insert an invalid simcard, but it already accepts ALL simcards. You can't enter * and # signs either.
I'm guessing that password was what the previous owner had on it. He told me that it was zeroes and if that doesn't work then send it back... Is there a way to hard reset the phone or firmware?
My brother has this phone and he is not able to get pass the Phone lock code because a friend of his mess around the phone and change the phone lock code and cannot remember it. Is there anyway to find the code?
bought a used samsung sgh-a777 slider phone from ebay. the seller neglected to do a master reset and does not know the phone lock code when it was sold to me. i basically got a full refund but told to keep the phone. so now i have a free phone that i cant use.does anybody know any methods to accessing the hidden menus or doing a master reset? i dont have a usb cable so i cant sync it up to a PC and play with it. any ideas??? my only other option is to call samsung support tomorrow.
so one of my friends was playing with the Samsung Gravity 2 and put on a phone lock and now every time I turn the phone on it asks for a PHONE LOCK code.No one seems to remember it.is there a way to over-ride it?
*2767*2878#. I used this code to reset my phone of my T-629, but after doing this my phone is stuck on the screen that says SGH-T629 Samsung. This is my only phone, this is my favorite phone and i have a lot of things saved on it.
I was playing around with settings on my phone and switched it from NAM 1 to NAM 2. It restarted the phone and now it says initial programing needed and I need a lock code. Can someone please help me switch it back!
I've just upgraded the doftware on my phone to v200.21.118 and all seemed to be be well. Phone rebooted and then went through the set-up stage of asking which country, city, time etc.It the asks for the lock code and so I eneter the code I had changed it to ages ago, which doesn't work. So I figure that maybe the software update had reset the lock code to the original '12345' but this doesn't work either.Anyone have any idea how I can reset this? I'm now unable to use my phone! :-( I seem to remember on some old Nokias that you could enter like a master code to override this.
I have tried to format or reset my Nokia N81 for some time now. I have tried the 3 button stuff and all the other stuff posted online but couldn't work because I still need to get pass the lock code, which I have forgotten.

My screen on my phone (SCH-R450 - Samsunng R450m) just crapped out. I was at the pool getting sun and talking and I am guessing the sweat off my face got in there and screwed it up. The screen went white and on the left side of the #s (1-4-7-*) led went out. I just bought the replacement screen off Ebay
I recently bought a second-hand E45 however the owner set a lock code on the phone. I've tried resetting it to the original settings but it ALWAYS asks for a code, I've tried the Green button + * + 3 + On button reset but it doesn't work. I've also tried *#7370# but it still asks for a code. The last owner does not know the code so I am stuck with this!
So I did a hard reset and I knew that I'll lose the Ovi Store. What it's completely new for me is that now each time I'm starting the phone I am requested to input the lock code. I have given 12345 but a message saying "Code fail" is shown and afterwards the phone works normally.1. Does anybody know why12345 is not working anymore?2. Does anybody know how could I remove this request at startup?3. Does anybody know why the phone does react if I am inputting an incorrect code only with a message "Code fail" - I would have expected a lock after multiple inputs but everything is OK.4. Does anybody know how can I change this code? - without flashing it at Nokia Service Center (just too far from me). I'm curious if 10000 tries would bring something alhough I am not interested in such a test
As with a few people I have been having a couple of issues with my N85. Rebooting, Connection Errors, etc.Rang Nokia today to check to see if they had any solutions†to the problem of the rebooting while charging and while on-hold thought I would check my firmware and got an update.
One very small problem I have found though is that my phone keeps asking for my lock code, and when I enter the code 12345 (I have not changed it) I get a message that COde has been entered 5 times and will unblock in 5 mins. THe phone still works fine however so not sure what is going on there.
