Samsung Galaxy S II :: Is There Blinking Light Alert
May 12, 2011
I am used to have a blinking light alert in case of a missed call, also a mail, sms or even a whatsapp message with my previous Motorola Droid. I even could arrange different colors to different situations. I could not find this in SII and I really miss it ! Is there a way to make it possible ?
My blue LED light is blinking about every 5 seconds when the screen is off. I've checked all my apps, don't see any new notifications pending. I even have my LED indicator radio button turned to Off.How do I get my phone to stop blinking?
The phone has the blinking blue light, and the menu and return buttons light up, but the screen doesn't light up. If the problem is the graphics card, how can I fix the problem?
Usually when i receive a notification when my phone screen is off the led light blinks blue, but its blinking a yellowish green. (This happens just for Android Central and Windows Central)
I see there are a dozen or so Text Alert Tone options on the S2, but none of them are very loud at full volume. My old Nokia used to make a really loud "dong-dong" whenever a Text arrived, but I'm finding it easy to miss Text arrivals on the S2.
the incoming call alert is not working.... no sound comes during an incoming call I checked and the phone is not in silent or vibration mode. the ringtone works when i select one but no sound durinh an incoming call.
had new phone a couple of weeks very nice but cant hear message alert tone at full volume when its in my pocket and no symbol on screen when screen locked.
just getting to grips with my new android phone ( dragging myself into the 21st century as my daughter informs me ) so using the functions is still new to me. However one thing I have found is that, unlike my old Samsung Monte, I can't assign individual test alert tones on a contact basis so that all have the same alert. Looking through forums it seems the way to go is to use a separate app that will do that and seems that there are three mainly recommended - chomp sms, handcent sms and Go SMS Pro. So I have two questions, firstly does anyone have recommendations as to which may be the better to go for of the three or have a better sugegstions. Secondly anything I need to do when installing an app on an android phone, probably a dumb quetion to some but I'd like to have use of my phone for more than a week before managing to blow it up
Anyway, if it was, that would make it a pretty nice low-light performer, at least on paper. Low-light performance is really important to me (and I hate how flash ruins shots), but I can't seem to find any info on this. Does anyone know?
I've recently acquired a blackberry pearl and I'm wondering if there is a way/application to keep the LED light blinking red until I've read the SMS or looked at the missed phone call (instead of timing out after 15 min). I know there is an application like buzzme, however I really don't need all those customizations and was wondering if anyone knew of a free application to just keep the light red until the SMS has been read.
the red flashing light keeps on blinking but i dont have any notifications. it kinda bothers me because this didnt happen before. it started affter i updated my phone.
I dropped my blackberry and it hasn't worked since. It wont turn on but it will for a few minutes, then will randomly shut off and blink like 2 times in a row in perfect intervals. After it turns off... it will not come back on no matter what. I have tried a different charger and even bought a new battery to put in it... But nothing has changed. Its still the same red light! Is there anything I can do that I haven't tried, before taking it to a repair shop
I don't see any notifications anywhere to clear other than the quick toggles I use. I'm thinking those might be the culprit since they're basically just an omnipresent notification, and the light stops blinking for a time once I pull the notification shade down. Having a constant green light going off? Also, whatever it is could be the same thing that's keeping the CPU awake all the time. It doesn't seem to be affecting battery life too much though.
when v recieve any notification for eg.message it blinks a green light.n keeps blinkin after regular interval.bt now i can see a blink only when i recieve a notification,bt it doesn't blink after regular interval.
i just bought a used blackberry curve 8330 but it doesn't turn on but a red light turns on and then start blinking can anyone tell me wat is all that about and can someone tell me how to fix this blackberry.
had my SGS2 for just a couple of days. I want to use the phone as a basic light meter for office and photographic purposes. However... having downloaded a couple of apps from the google play store I can only get 3 values what ever the lighting condition - either 10, 100 or 1000 lux - not a lot of use. By contract my son's 60 Huawei Blaze gives accurate readings to 0.1 lux
Im having a problem in my E63, while the phone is in standby mode there should be Notification Light blinking after every 6 or 7 seconds but i cannot see that, but yeah if i recive a miss call, a text or a e-mail it shows me the notification.
Has anyone noticed the faint red blinking light to the right of the notification led while on a phone call?It only happens when using the handset and if you activate speakerphone, it stops until you put the call on the handset again.
Today on my way home from school it started to rain pretty hard. I had my Storm in my pocket, but held my pocket so it would not rub against my phone. The back of it, which was facing outward got damp and everything worked fine when I got home; I took out battery and made sure everything was dry but when I put the battery in the Red indicator light just blinks.
I have this old 9700 I got from a friend that he says is bricked. I took a look at it and when I put a battery on it, it blinks twice, pause and blinks twice again. It does that and never loads. So I thought, this would be an easy fix. I would just reload the OS and it's good to go. But I was wrong.First thing I did is I went and installed an OS6 (.650) and tried the loader.exe but when I click on Next, it does't recognize a PIN, it says USB-PIN: UNKNOWN. I clicked on next nevertheless and tried to reload the OS but then it won't go past the Loading JVM step which is the second step I guess, being 'Erasing Applications' as the first one. I left it for a couple of hours and it still won't load the OS.Next thing I did is tried to wipe the phone using BBSAK, CrackUtil and JL_Cmder. With the CrackUtil, it says 'Phone not connected' while the JL_Cmder won't let me wipe it. It just keeps on going back to the Menu after I've typed 'blackberry'. The BBSAK won't recognize the phone either.I tried using Desktop Manager as well. It can see that the phone is a 9700 but on the PIN, it says 0.One more thing I noticed, when I put on the battery, the red blinks but when I take off the battery and just plug the USB cord, it won't do anything. My computer will do something (makes a sound and 'recognize' the device in a way) ONLY if I have the battery put on before I put the USB cord on. If it's the USB cord alone, without the battery, it stays dead. Which is weird since in my experience, my computer always recognize BlackBerry devices whether a battery is present or not when you plug the USB cord.Oh and BTW, now my computer doesn't read my phone anymore, whether I put the battery in or not. The phone keeps blinking though, when I have the battery on. Blinks twice, pause and do it all over again.
