I just got my D900 in the mail. It's an Asian model. But I had a few questions, mostly about accessories. First off, it came of with a wall charger, and an an adapter for it. But neither were even close to the correct type for my(and American) wall outlet. So I've had to use the USB cable to charge. Does anyone have a reliable place to get a charger?(probably OEM, I assume?) Also, how about a good place to get a flash cable? What would be a recommended firmware. I currently have: D900DXGA2.
I found out that there are now American models... the day I got my phone. Is there any reason why I should be reluctant about my purchase? And finally, I've heard 2GB mSD cards don't work with D900's. Is that true, and with all firmwares?
I used,T809 flash cable with 9v.You can use any flash cable witch plugs in to D900, example D820 flash cable ect. you need disconect, virus, adware, and internet. The downloader is design for D900,all you need to do,CHECK. DONT AUTO NAND FORMAT I change my firmaware from D900XFG5 the new firmware RF is better, menue is faster,I like the Answering machine.
I've got a Samsung D900 with an old firmware (D900XAFG7) that does not recognize the new Scandisk 2Gb memory cards. I have downloaded a later official firmware (D900XAFJ1) that I understand will recognize the 2Gb card.I have just received my USB Flash cable from fonefunshop.co.uk and on inserting it into the USB port hey presto - nothing! It is not recognized by Windows XP at all. I have tried it in a second machine with a new clean install of Windows XP and same thing - nothing! Am I doing something wrong or have I got a duff cable? There are a lot of stories on a number of forums about these cables being "rubbish" so I am worried that it is indeed a duff cable.Any suggestions would be welcome.
I have a CK-100 car kit and trying to find a replacement/upgrade charge cable (CA-134) with a USB micro B connector instead of the 2mm that is fitted. The user/installation guide mentions that an alternative USB cable may be supplied but all searches have failed to find one. The alternative is to make up a cable RJ45 at the CK end, I can buzz it out but does anyone have the pin out for the RJ45? I've tried the CA-146 adapter and to be honest it's naff - it runs hot and the output is reduced to the point that whilst running my satnav app the phone will discharge faster than it can be charged, I've also tried the adapter on a standard car charger with the same results.
Does anyone know how WHY Samsung (well most phone companies) use different chargers for the different models? Is it just that they use smaller ports for the smaller phones or what's the reason behind it?Also, I'm looking for a wall charger for the E910 (B&O Serene). Anyone has an idea which chargers are compatible with the?
I got a U600 from Asia and it comes with a 150v-240v wall/travel charger. Is it possible to replace this charger with one that is 100v-240v? Will it screw up the phone? If it's OK, where can I buy a North American charger?
Looking for a wall charger that will plug into standard United States style wall sockets for Samsung g600---- this is my first Samsung so I don't know about other models --- any US models with the same connector?
If I get a USB flash/debrand cable for my Samsung D600 will it also act like a USB data cable (like the one originally shipped with the phone)? Or would I still need to buy a USB data cable to transfer files and charge the phone? I lost my data cable and wondering if I should buy another data cable or if the flash cable does both jobs. In short, can I use a USB flash/debrand cable to: 1. Transfer files (like mp3s, videos, pics). 2. Use it to charge my cell when connected to a USB port.
by any chance does anyone know if the charger for the Samsung Sync Cingular A707 work with the Samsung SGH-D900 series phone? i lost my charger for my D900 and buddy of mine has an extra Sync "SGH-a707" charger.
The Mogul USED to charge with the car charger, then one day, just stopped working. It still gets charged by using the wall outlet charger.I tried in another car thinking it may be my car - no dice.I bought another charger off ebay thinking it was the charger, and that one does not work either.I then had my buddy who also has a mogul try the car chargers, and both chargers charge his phone fine. I think the only thing I did not try is to put his battery in my phone, and see if it charges my phone. I'm guessing though somehow it's the connector? But why would the wall plug work?My buddy's on his way over now - I'll test it with his battery. If it's still not charging I have no idea what to do. Could it be software related? Something I recently installed? It seems more hardware related to me..
I recently obtained a Samsung d900 from the US (i live in canada.) I unpacked it, plugged in the charger and played around with it. I left it to charge overnight. The next day when i tried turning the phone on, it wouldnt. Figuring that the wall charger was broken and did not charge the battery properly, i tried charging it with the car charger. Same story. Nothing shows up on the screen when plugged into the charger.
So i have came to 3 conclusions: 1) Either the battery is really flat( i dont kno how) 2) The wall charger and car charger are both non-working (I ddnt get time to check with a charger that works) 3) The firmware on the phone somehow got corrupted. I was thinking abt getting a Debranding/Unlock cable off ebay but i need to know wether that will be helpful.
Some more questions: Will a d600/d807 charger work with the d900?
my D900 seems to be having trouble charging and left me in a bad situation. My charger will not respond to the phone when connected and won't charge at all same with the USB.is it possible to buy a new charger or is it the batterys problem?
Anyone know if the same cable will work? I have a d900 and the cable that came with it also charges the phone (did not get a USB cable with the u740). Using the D900 cable with my U740 does not charge the phone. Verizon locks down their phones so I do not know if the trouble getting the U740 and PC connected are because of an incorrect cable or because Verizon is a control freak that nickel and dimes us for everything.
I was looking to buy one of the cables that enable you to change the firmware on the D900 to the ones you can find on the internet as my current firmware (D900XAFG7), amongst other problems, does not allow me to set personal message tones. Can anyone point me in the right direction, and I live in the UK so it would need to be able to be shipped here.
bought a D900 and it's great and i'm waiting on the flashing cable to start working on personalizing it.but i "*#8999*8378#'d" it to see what i was operating with and this was the result..D900UKFI3 right off the bat, i have already searched all over...so i'm resorting to a post..can anyone tell me what region code is this...and any other relevant info i should know...i'm new to samsung (modded the heck out of my Moto V3i..but a noob with samsung so please forgive my naivety).
Just wondering if anybody has the original flash files for the Samsung U900 using the telstra network company? Or, can anybody please help with my problem? i flashed a new firmware on to my U900 trying to get rid of the company branding but now i can get any reception at all... it just says "No Service" i have tried 3 different sim cards. I have discovered that none of the other country flash files are compatible with the aussie network so if anybody has a Australian firmware for the samsung it will be very very greatly appreciated.
I had the old 2gb flash card problem, and upgraded the flash to D900DXFJ2, but it only had the .cla file and not the .tfs file, seemed to work ok, 2gb card no problem, but then noticed when you push up arrow to get the 'my menu' the phone crashes and reboots, same if you got to edit the 'my menu' from phone settings, trying D900JPFG6 next, this has the .tfs file. we'll see?. yes, the same thing happened with me. the 'my menu' screen and the 'world clock' or 'time zone' crashes as well. did you resolve this using a firmware with the tfs?. i really want the D900DXFJ2 firmware but am wondering why there is no TFS file. ALSO.i erased my NOR and NAND, and when i tried to flash with just the D900DXFJ2 cla file, the phone will not boot up. is this because i do not have a TFS file?. and now at the moment, when i load onenand downloader and click start, i try to power on my phone but nothing. is this because the battery is dead? or is my phone screwed?.

I woke up in the middle of the night and needed to look for something in my house, so instead of turning on all the lights and waking everyone else up, I used the "flashlight" on my D900. I have firmware D900XEFK2 with Candid's mod, so I just tapped the camera button and it turned on. Now, I don't use it too often since it uses the battery fairly fast, but I figured it was okay since it was fully charged and I'd be charging it again when I went back to sleep.I couldn't have had it on for more than 2-3 minutes, but suddenly it went "off." I turned it around and looked at the LED, and instead of being the bright white light that it was before, it was a dimmer light blue color.
So I turned it off, turned it back on, etc. It's stuck on this blue, which isn't really very bright, and so somewhat worthless as a flashlight or even as a camera flash. When I turn on the flashlight, it starts with the bright white light, then immediately fades out to the blue.I'm wondering if this is a safety feature for the phone, or if I broke it. Can I do a master reset to fix it, or would I actually have to replace the LED?
I was going to purchase a g600 online the other day from plemix.com, when I noticed that thier box contents were limited to charger and data cable. In one review I read, in addition to some pictures of an unboxing I saw in a thread here, the box should contain a two-piece headset/adapter and a bluetooth headset among other things. I emailed plemix and they replied that thier box only contained what was listed...not even a wired headset! Is this normal for different outlets to have different boxes? If so, does anyone have any positive experiences with outlets that might have the complete box contents, and not a pilaged version?
i have the HTC tattoo and so far it has been brilliant. i was wondering if anyone can recommend a wall charger i can use for the UK/Euro region? and is there any diferrence if you charge the device on the PC (via USB) or thru the normal way via a wall socket?
