I have purchased a ChessGenius App for my Nokia N8 running Belle in the OVI store on Tuesday 2 October 2012, and received confirmation of the purchase with transaction ID 297139150973. The money has been deducted from my phone account, but I have not been offered the option to download the app, neither does the app appear in 'MyStuff'.

I bought my n8 from Rogers wireless and had to wait three month longer than anyone else before I got Anna, now I m waiting for belle update and its available to anyone else other than product # 059D391, and I m sure there are many of us with this product and same problem..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just download an app "wp7green" for my s60v5 C6-00. It is very cheap (1 RMB yuan, less than 0.2 USD). The app is buggy, however. It suppose to provide a beautiful home screen looks like wp7, but when I touch the image "phone", the phone goes to the original home screen. Quite annoying for someone try to boast his new device to friends. OK, the case itself does not matter (much). But I think of a thing, what can I do if I would buy some app with real use and find it buggy?

When I completed my payment .It automatically appears to download page ut then nothing was downloaded.I try with other free application it then works.Below ismy recent purchased record. I purchased my first app in the OVI store today. First I tried to pay with my creditcard, which resulted in error messages. Secondly I payed by telephone bill, also error messages but I received a confirmation of the buy. Did I pay twice?
After paying, I received both an SMS and an email to confirm my purchase (with Transaction ID), but when trying to download the product, I received an error message. The app is not downloaded, neither displayed in the list at "My stuff"....
Since updating to Belle, I am no longer able to use the dab radio app, which renders my £40 headset obsolete. Hopefully this app will be available again soon??

The Nokia Maps app does pretty good nav but whereas e.g. TT will accept a postcode like CT16 2AB, Nokia Maps (or Drive as it is called; the Drive app shares the same database with the Maps app) accepts only CT162.
Today I tried to drive from Brighton (UK) to Biggin Hill Airport but Drive could not find Biggin Hill, which is weird. So I used an old Pocket/PC PDA with TT6 to get there. The Nokia apps did not show any roads/streets for a large area around the destination and on the way back it was about half an hour before I reached a map showing roads/streets. I deleted and reloaded the UK map (400MB) from Nokia and that fixed that bizzare issue, but having two ways to do the job is obviously desirable. And TT is a better app with a better database.

I downloaded Skype from OVI and it opens properly etc.but does not allow me to enter my password etc. and then reverts to the main screen. I am with Vodafone UK.

I also checked my product code 0599330 in the Nokia Belle availability page and it says available.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI own a N8 for 1 and half years and very happy with it. I did not upgrade to Belle because I read lots of people that were not satisfied and wanted to go back to Anna.
Problems I read in the forum in various discussions:1) Camera performance in low light has deteriorated, I love my N8 mainly because of the camera
2) Battery life is worse
3) Applications will be lost and I will need to reinstall them all , plus could never get back the Nokia ones I had free through offers
4) The useful and effective Nokia clock/calendar/profile switcher has been showed the door in favor of a Andoid-style clock
5) Widgets are worse or less effective: the email and music widgets are very big that I don't think I will be very happy wasting lots of space with no alternative.
6) Widgets do not change with theme, I have my nice Anna email/music and other widgets that gets transparent or just adapt to the Theme I choose, I haven't seen that on Belle. That ugly email widget for example is always the same , white on blue.
So basically I feel that I give up lots of useful and efficient features just in order to get a OS that is more fluid , has more homescreens and I can move the widgets and shortcuts around??
I have looked around the forum and there are still people not satisfied but most comments are now old.

Its currently on Anna but want to upgrade to Belle so I install the Nokia suite 3.3.86 which is where my issues started. It takes me 20 minutes just to get to the software update tab due to the constant message of not responding! When I get to the update tab I search for updates and says after 10 minutes cannot connect to server. I tried re-installing but seems to be just as bad.I am running a 64-bit pc with high specs so doubt its my computer.

1. Lock the phone.
2. Send a text message to your number (Nokia N8).
3. When the text message is recieved the screen of the N8 displays the work "popUpClock" in the top left corner and the "time, Battery, and signal" icons on the right top corner.
4. The above message disappears in a split second and the screen remains blank for almost 2-3 mins before shutting off again.The best way to check the duration of the blank screen displayed is to keep the phone in dark.This bug could be one of the reasons for the battery draining for some users who recieve loads of text messages in a day.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince the Belle Refresh update on N8 I've been having a bug concerning text fields in the browser. When a text field is active and the keyboard is visible, clicking buttons on the screen will make you click other nearby links or buttons instead. For example, if you click Search in my attached image, the "Sign in" link will get clicked instead. That happens on other sites aswell. It also happens if you click on empty space with a link underneath it. As if the touch-screen area moves up a bit when the keyboard appears. Right now I'm using the enter key, but I'm still used to just clicking buttons on the screen.
