Just sorting out some boxes and I found my old Clearnet/Telus SCH 8580. Thought I maybe able to give it away, who knows? If not it will go to a recycle box. Anyhow I wanted to clear the phone and reset to factory settings but the phone asks for a lock code! I dont remember ever using a code, if I did I obviously have erased from my own memory.Maybe there was a default code I used? Does any one have any idea or option to remove lock code.
I am having Nokia N95-4 8GB Mobile. Due to some reasons when I have the deleted the old songs but some how mobile is showing the songs name as not available. So In order to erase those things I am planning to select the option as Restore Factory setting before doing that I just want to know whether i need to take the back up of the mobile numbers I have stored in the mobile.
If not the mobile gets the settings back with out earsing the contact details.
"installation from memory card can not be completed, check your installer" every time I switch my phone on when I check all the programs are installed, so I assumed, its a messed up registry or something, I've been having other problems with the phone so I went to restore to factory setting although this doesn't seem to "restore to factory setting" I still have my apps, messages, ect.
1) is there a way to stop getting this message? 2) is there a way to completely restore to factory settings?
i have a Uk version Nokia 5800 (red colour), if that matters.I have recently updated to the pozy 11.0..... something firmware version, still waiting for 22.0.I need to do a factory restore , thus wiping my whole phone back to when i first recieved it? as i just want to start again without annoying files and programs on it atm, and i still have an issue with the expired certificates.RAAA yes im a bit frustrated with these issues right now, as it seems nokia have released a rather brilliant phone but they havnt actually tested it before they pressed the big red mass produce button. So what im asking, is there any way other that the "secret" codes that i've seen everywhere to wipre my phone memory clean, i have also tried re-installing the latest firmware, but again this just seems to overwrite itself and not actually touch the files and programs.... all it changes is the date and time
I have Nokia 6280, and I want to Restore Factory Settings, but when I'm trying to do it, it says enter the "security code".please, tell me where can I get this code, or is it the same for all nokia 6280?

I recently purchased an E51. About one week after I purchased it the "Email Key" page followed by the "no mailbox defined, define now?" prompt started flashing up - constantly - like 20 times per minute, no matter what I amy be doing with the phone. While I am talking I can hear the blipping of this prompt. I have tried "Restore factory settings" but there is no difference.

I have recently restored factory settings in my phone, and what a shock i got! my memory card suddenly had a password that i have no idea where it came from my phone 6280 nokia suddenly does not accept my password that i used to restore factory settings with.
I just bought nokia c3 for a week, I accidentally click the restore factory settings and then entered the password, after that, all my files gone, the communities, ovi store, and other features of the phone. the original theme color on the phone is green, white and blue right?
Then after restoring the theme become gray and other features gone, and the worse thing that I cant use the internet although I have wifi connection. The goto address and other menu in the internet gone, the only remaining is home, browser and web services.
When I click home it says check home page address, when I click browser, it doesn't work also the web services. The community, ovi store, and other features gone, all tones gone, all themes, all games gone, nothing left.
After receiving my 5800 I had to restore factory settings and format the memory card to get rid of unwanted pre-installed content. Before that, I had no problems connecting the phone to the computer via USB and transferring media files, but now - Ovi player doesn't recognize it when I connect the phone and select PC suite modemedia transfer mode. Bluetooth works, mass storage mode via USB works. I am using Windows 7.Is there anything that I need to reinstall on the phone to get it to work? has anybody seen this problem?
I had Nokia 1616, it works fine for 3 months but now a message comes on screen when i try to send sms text, message sending failed and when i re try it then goes to the destination.I had also done restore factory settings but no success. If some one knows any other option plz do share.does these phone had option of hard reset like E series had?
I Have a problem in using ovi from my N8 Mobile.when i trying to open ovi store its gives me endless loading screen i tried to restore factory settings , updating software & remove and re-install Ovi Store But nothing works and now after getting version 2.12.042 when i trying to uninstall it i got error "Remove Canceled"what should i do ?
I recently bought a second-hand E45 however the owner set a lock code on the phone. I've tried resetting it to the original settings but it ALWAYS asks for a code, I've tried the Green button + * + 3 + On button reset but it doesn't work. I've also tried *#7370# but it still asks for a code. The last owner does not know the code so I am stuck with this!
How do i restore my phone to factory settings if i cant get on to my settings on my phone? is there a way to do it when my phone is off? I upadated my phone from my device and the update froze, ive removed the battery several times and it still goes back to the frozen update so i need to reset my phone to factory settings and wipe it completely!
I have a small problem with my Iphone 4 5.1 - modem firmware 4.12.01 and I had it just replaced two weeks ago and it was locked and not activated.
After working on it to activate it (don't have the original sim the mobile was locked to) I decide to restore it to factory setting, as it was when replaced. I tried with Itunes but it gives me error 3194 putting it in a loop and later I tried to do it via the device itself (settings > general > reset > cancell data and settings) but it got stuck on the loading circle for 5-6 hours so I pressed together power and home to shut it down.
So what should I do now to restore it to factory settings? I don't know what to do and I don't want to endanger my warranty (if it is still on at this point!!!).I have windows 7 and tried with a different usb ports or with no firewall but to no avail.
Have any of you guys with this phone had similar problems? I'm just wondering what we can do to really *fix* it. - Or wait for a firmware update. The GPS is majorly unreliable and only works part of the time.
i purchased a new 3gs phone recently without contract but locked to a provider. it already jailbreak it with blackra1n rc3 and possible unlock it with sn0w (i have to test with different provider sim to see if it's unlocked yet?)though i know i have a tethered jailbroken iphone (need to hook up to computer after a reboot) it works fine with wifi and gps but no Internet atm
my phone spec: 3gs 16g version 3.1.2 (7d11) model: mc131c
i realize that this is not my phone and i want to return the phone the apple store to get a full refund (still 14 day of purchase period)? how do i restore to its factory settings without any jailbreak bread-crumbs?
I have just received an upgrade of my company phone and would like to pass my 9300 Curve to my wife to use. Unfortunately the e-mail set up was via Enterprise Server and will not allow me to set up e-mail for her to use normally, restore factory settings or change so this can be done
