I recently bought a E63 from virgin , as Im shortly going abroad for 3 months, i asked them to unlock the phone, they told me it was already unlocked, following their advice i put in a diffenrt netwrk sim but the phone rejected it saying SIM CARD NOT VALID, they then went on to apologise and send me the unlock codes for free, normally it would cost me 15 pounds. as they say that it should have been unlocked. So they've sent the codes, and the instructions on how to use them, but this cant be used as i cant get past the SIM CARD NOT VALID when the phone starts up. they said its a prob with Nokia, but Nokia disagrees, i have 3 more days before I leave the country, does anyone know the format used to unlock this type of Nokia?
I've had my E72-2 for a few months and I am quite satisfied with it. I thought that I would check if there was an update for it.I typed in *#0000# and this is what was displayed. Then I typed the Product code as found under the battery 0591928110914c into the Nokia web page where you can find out if there ia an update available. This is what I get.--That is not a valid product code. Please check your product code and type it again. For example, most codes begin '05xxxxx'
I updated my Ovi Suite from 2.0 to 188.8.131.52. Now, when I go to messaging, click on Add recipient and select the name of a contact for which the number is +XX(YY)ZZZZZZZ (XX being country code, and YY being area code), I get an error message saying "Recipient not valid" and "Recipient "<+XX(YY)ZZZZZZZ>" is not valid. Cannot send the message."This is a serious regression from previous version... and plain WRONG. THis is the standard international form for representing a nubmber. It used to work with 2.0, it's the format Outlook automatically formats numbers to.This needs to be fixed very fast.
A few sellers have given me the IMEIs of the N80s that they are selling, previously I called up a shop and checked if it was a genuine, Nokia IMEI, but the shop is now closed, and I need this IMEI verified soon! Is there a means through the Nokia website or somehow to check the IMEI is valid? My phones in order of appearance : (starting 3 years ago!) Sony CMD-Z1 plus, Motorola timeport, Nokia 3310, Nokia 3410, Sony Ericsson T300, Sharp GX10i, Sharp GX30i, Sagem My-X-2, Sony Ericsson V800, Sony Ericsson P900, Samsung D500, Sharp 902, Nokia N80 (got mugged by 4 20 year olds). Motorola V3, Sony Ericsson K610i, Samsung D800, LG Chocolate, Nokia N70!
I change phones a lot, have had 11 different handsets in 2006!

Due to problems with my old N82, I bought a new N82 and are now trying to use MAPS, but whenI try to enter the license code, I get the message "This license code is not valid". To get to this message was a hazzle, but finally I got there, connected to the server and god the "Update completed" info, whereafter it comes to a page where I can buy Licenses or enter license codes - it's here I enter my PAID FOR license code, which is valid until spetember 2009, and then get this "not valid" reply.
Following todays (jan 14 2009) upgrade to PCsuite 7.1 I get this message when trying to send texts from my comp. I use Outlook 2007 and everything has worked before todays update. It does not like the international format of the tel Number +44(1234)567890. I have to edit out the brackets and put the 0 back in i.e. edit manually to 01234567890. This is a step back from something that used to work. The phone will use the same Internationally formatted number and work fine so it is the verification routine in the PCsuite software that appears faulty. Nokia need to fix but I cannot see where to e-mail, any fixes or ideas?
We received a X6 32 with 1 year free Comes with Music. On going back into the Music store it asked me to register the PIN again, only to be told that although I have 362 days left, the PIN is not longer valid.I fear this could have come about from us putting another SIM card in the phone.Could this be the reason, and what is the solution?
I have paid €9.99 for the latest map for Nokia N95 8gb, Iactivated it, but after I reinstalled the software and used the key again, itis saying that the key is not valid! Do I have to buy it again, whenever I reinstall the software I have reinstalled Ovi Maps 2.0, 3.0 is not working on N95 8gb. I have had my nokia 5530 for over 5 and half months but then recently yesterday in the morning when i woke up my phone was ringing so when i answered it just switched off itself. It wasn't even getting switched on. So i charged it and after 1 minute it did switch on so i thought it was a battery problem but when i tried to call it switched off again. Now tomorrow I will go to Nokia Care but the problem is that my father had got the phone for me from Spain in September the time when it wasn't even launched here. So do guys think will they repair it for free or will i get charged for it?please reply.

I broke my E66 and had it replaced on Insurance. The new phone does not recognise I have paid for a 12 month subscription - which I am only 2 months into.
I am using the same SIM card.I now only have a 7 day licence. An expensive way to loose your licence for the Drive option. Can anyone (ie. Nokia staff) help please? I'm not happy paying for the subscription and now cannot use it - due to simply replacing my phone.I called software tech support - who promised to call - and have not.

I just recieved my replacement iphone 4 today, when I turn it on it says insert sim to activate, when I do that it says sim not valid but on top left displays vodaNZ(as im from nz). Keeps saying insert the sim your iphone came with. It doesn't say activate your ipone using apple id and stuff like that. All it says is insert sim to activate. Could it be a corrupt sim or hardware issue?

So here's the deal. 1st off, anyone know what that error is refering to? A Serial/USB Dongle, or PC MAC, or Phones MAC? Secondly, is that Latest Ver of QXDM, and is there a crack for QXDM I'm Missing?

my iPhone 4 is supposed to be factory unlocked - and it works with all German carriers - I also checked one sim-card from Ireland, which also worked. However, I can't activate the iPhone with a Chinese sim-card or Thai sim-card. The error message "sim not valid" shows up. I tried those two sim-cards with an iPhone 4S of a friend (also factory unlocked), and both worked perfectly. My assumption is that my iPhone is only unlocked for European carriers?
