Nokia :: Internet Radio Error :Connection Timed Out Try Again
Jun 26, 2008
I'm having an issue with the Nokia Internet Radio application on the Nokia N95. The app launches ok but if I try and browse the station directory or perform a search I get the error 'Connection Timed Out. Try Again' This happens almost instantly i.e. it doesn't look like it's even trying to connect.
If I go to the shoutcast site and click on the 'Tune In' button next to a station the Internet radio app launches and I get an error saying 'General: System Error' and the application closes then goes back to the browser and a message saying 'Web: No Gateway Reply' The application worked fine up until recently. I upgraded to FW V 21.0.016 and hasn't worked since so it may be that this has caused the problem. I've removed and re-downloaded re-installed the software but still get the same issue. Web browsing works fine, so I know my internet settings are fine, and the old open-source version of the radio player even works so it's just an issue with this app.
I am using Nokia E5 from 2 months , till yesterday I was using Internet radio, but suddenly it stop. If I click on internet radio, Its says " no Network connection". When I go to option--> setting and after clicking on setting no response is there , meaning nothing is happening. Other internet related apps working fine.
My laptop is showing a full strength signal from my home wifi. However, my Xoom (just had a it week) is only receiving two out of four bars and I am continually getting the "connection timed out" error message.
The two devices are sitting right beside each other so why the difference, and how can I improve my Xoom's connection?
I have a problem with trying to log into my wireless router when I am at home using my BB. I am entering the right address to log into the routers login page, trouble is all I'm getting is the following error message:The server returned the following error while attempting to fulfil your request: "Connection timed out"
I can get on the internet no problem, have even turned off my O2 network and just left my wireless network on and can still get on the web so know the router is letting me connect, have even tried to change the browser from BB to Firefox to IE but still no joy.
Is there some general known issue presently with the maps server? Yesterday, I hardly got anything loaded because the connection was dropped every now and then. Today, I can not get any map downloading properly started. I'd really need to get maps of Italy installed soon.I'm using the lastest Ovi Suite (downloaded and installed yesterday) and N95 8GB. I can get the country list to Ovi Suite application, but when starting the actual download, there is always just "Connection time out, The connection to the Ovi Maps server timed out, Try again".So, is it just me or is there something somebody should fix on server side?
I installed internet radio on my N8 through Ovi store without any problems but when I try to add the internet radio widget to my home screen I get the message "Error occurred. Widget removed". The app runs fine only the widget is not working. I have tried to re-install but that didn't work. Running PR 1.1 on my N8.
I just updated my E72 yesterday and apart from fixed bugs, now I've got more serious problems. I couldn't connect to the internet for sure. It says "No connection available". Besides, when I look into my contacts, I couldn't use the search mode. It says "Building cache. Search will be available in a moment."I've done everything, from re-update the same firmware version and also restoring phone settings, hard reset. Nothing happened. Not fixed.
After establishing connection to PC running on Windows 7 via micro usb cable, there is a problem with keeping internet connection alive. The connection should work because the icon on the phones display shows that the phone is connected to the internet, but the connection seems to be lost somewhere between mobile device and PC (not mobile device and mobile network) although the phone is fully capable to transfer other data via cable between computer and phone, this is the same when connection is created via PC Suite or Ovi suite, or manually established connection using the mobile as a modem. The internet access is possible only after every new connections which works always randomly f.e. it fails/stops transferring data from/to internet after few seconds/minutes or transferred amount of data, it is always different.Windows diagnoses this problem as a problem with DNS server.SW version 022.007 RM-530, E72-1 Custom version 022.007.C00.001
I have tried to update my iphone4 to 5.1.1 and it aways come up with the same message. There was a problem downloading the softwart for the iphone. The network connection timed out. what do i need to do?
I have updated my N8 to Belle via Nokia Suite. Now I am getting Internet connection failure (GPRS and 3G) while connecting. I have checked this with two other sim on which internet is already activated.
But when I do a hard reset to my phone, I get the internet activated for a while (I also keep WiFi disabled as I don't want it).
I got the connection to the server [URL]on port 993 times out when trying to access the mail app..i deleted and reinstalled my yahoo acct and now i can't get mail on the mail app, all my phone is erased, calendar, notes, etc....at&t can't help me and apple wants to charge me for the support...
The maps in my Nokia X6 16gb are gone after i ran an update in which it says will delete the old maps and voices to replace newer ones. Upon completion of the update, when i checked maps that are available in my device,Instead of new updated maps, there is only 1 map left which is Hong Kong and Macau, and i don't live in either one of it. Tried downloading the maps through the Ovi Suite, always got the message "The connection to the Ovi Maps server timed out"
I just added a new iPad to my itunes account and since then my text messaging has gone crazy! We have 2 iphones, 3 ipads and 2 ipods all on one itunes account. When I text my husband, the message sometimes goes to him, but also goes to my son's ipod and other son's ipad. I sometimes recieve texts from my husband's cell number and other times it shows up as my own cell number. Tonight I was texting my sister-in-law and our conversation came across on my husband's phone, and my sister in law said the text came through from an email address instead of my cell number. Please let me know how to fix this!
When I plug my iphone in to my computer it doesn't bring up autoplay and doesn't appear in File Manager so I can't manually navigate to it. iTunes tells me it's timed out trying to connect to my iphone. I THINK it may be to do with the fact my iphone is connected to my work email and they impose restrictions on my security settings? I've tried the suggestion:Â
'iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer If auto play doesn't work on your computer then either fix it, or just manually navigate out to your iphone on the hard drive. If you don't know how to do the above steps use google.'
I've bought a new iPhone 4s about 3 months ago. First upgrade went fine with iTunes (ver 10.6.1), so I know it cannot be the connection. For the last 3 months I've been trying to upgrade to iOs 5.1.1, but keep getting an error -3259 message (server has timed out). I've checked my network settings, firewall settings, and have even tried to upgrade using other internet connections, but still no upgrade. This is a big problem, because it starts downloading, and then just freezes. I'm not on an uncapped internet connection, and have lost alot of my package to just be disappointed (the upgrade being 803mb) and I'm starting to resent my once favourite purchase.
I noticed I wasn't getting email from a POP 3 account I setup. This worked fine for about two months. As of yesterday I can't go on the internet, use Google Maps or check my email anymore. Opening IE I get a message that says ERROR.The remote party has ended this connection. When I try to send email the status bar at the top says Connecting... for a second then Synchronization Error. Then it pops the same error as in IE (ERROR).The remote party has ended this connection.) Google Maps give a similar error about not being able to connect. The phone works fine for SMS and phone type stuff, just not internet. Where do I start troubleshooting?
I want to download an App for my iPhone. It keeps timing out saying the internet connection was lost.. but my internet is working just fine. Similarly I can't just download it from my iPhone via 3g because it is also saying Internet connection Lost. help.
i am trying to do the 5.0 upgrade and it first had to update my application loader which went fine and then while trying to get the 5.0 upgrade it gets to a point that says it cannot continue because i don't have an internet connection, which i do. any ideas on how to procede with this? thanks
I know this phone is supposed to be a T-Mobile phone. I'm in love with it however so I unlocked it to use with my Cingular SIM. Everything seems to work fine but I can't seem to use my internet connection although it's part of my plan I get a network error. The customer service rep at Cingular referred me here.
