Nokia :: E71 Frozen On Black Screen
For some odd reason today out of nowhere, my e71 has frozen on a completely black screen. I can tell that the phone is on (the key pad is illuminated and the lcd is on... just black.)I tried turning it off with the red power button at the top. Doesn't respond.I took the battery out was able to shut the unit off. When I replaced the battery and turned the phone on, the black screen comes back.
I tried to connect and run a sync to see what would happen, but the phone is not detected.I also plugged in the charger while the phone was off, but it just brought up the black screen.The keys are non-responsive to any commands (menus, speed dial, etc.)

Nokia 6280 :: Black Lines Across Screen Rendering It Black?
I am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold: 1) can this in fact be the result of a virus? 2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?

Nokia :: Navigator 500 Frozen Screen
how to fix a frozen screen on this Nokia Navigator. I bought two of these from Buy.com, one for me and one for my sister. It worked great the first two months, unfortunately it has locked up. I can't find any information on here to get this thing replaced / repaired. I'm about to start bad mouthing Nokia for this product. I have various Nokia phones and never had any problems. This my first Navigation purchase and for the price I thougth it was worth it. Shoulda bought a Tom Tom to save me the headache.

Nokia :: N95 8GB Frozen On Logo Screen
My phone failed when trying to add a contact and now it will not switch off without removing the battery. The phone will then switch on but just shows nokia logo and freezes up.I have lots of photos and video clips of my new born baby on the phone which would be upsetting to lose. She was 7 weeks premature and the photos on the phone are all I have of her when she was first born.I want to be able to recover these photos and get the phone working again without losing them.

Nokia :: N97 Why Startup Screen Is Frozen?
It has taken me an hour and a half of playing with the phone to get it to switch on. Battery ran out so put it on charge, pressed the power button and all I got was a NOKIA logo, no chrger indicator or anything. The nokia guides suggest a hard reset but how can I do this when the phone won't even switch on properly. The phone did get better after a few updates but it has gone backwards after the most recent updates. I am so glad I don't have a short temper or ther may have been a few windows broken!P.S. For anyone who has had a similar problem, I may have a solution: Leave the phone on charge for a while then unplug and remove and replace the battery. Press and hold power and keep held down, the phone will buzz then nokia screen shown. After a while of keeping the power button held down, the pin screen appears. This take a few attempts usually but avoids the dreaded hard reset.

Nokia Lumia :: Screen Frozen Even After Resetting
I purchased the Nokia Lumia 920 just under a month ago, a few times it's blacked out and i've done a reset (hold volume button and power button down) and it's worked, this time however when I done that reset the screen is not working, the side buttons are working but the touch screen is not working at all, I've tried reseting it multiple times, with holding both volume buttons with the power button and holding down one or the other the with power button and camera button, I've tried removing the sim but with no resolution and I don't know what else I can do. I know chances are I will have to take it to a store but I thought I would try on here first.

My Lumia 800 has gone crazy. This is a replacement phone for the last Lumia that I got that turned off one day and then didn't turn back on. I have had this one for only three weeks.Last night at about 9pm, before I got any New Year messages the screen of my phone changed to a multi coloured static looking screen and I couldn't do anything to fix it.I could hear messages coming through occasionally and the phone rang a few times but I was unable to answer it due to not being able to see what I was doing.I have tried doing a soft reset to no avail and I have also drained the battery til it went dead and have recharged it, but have not had any joy with it today either.This phone has not been dropped or damaged in any way, so I have no idea what is going on.

First of all i was sending a message and the screen randomly went black and red lines came across the screen for a few seconds then it went back to my message .. Then I was charging it Good Friday and took it out to make a call and the screen went white as if I was turning the phone on as nokia came across the screen please help why is it doing this?

I recently upgraded my Nokia software to OVI 2, or whatever its called. I will admit, it does look a bit better than the previous version, seems a bit nicer to use, and I like the fact that music, syncing and updating, is all now done from the same application. Its about time I didn't have to have 3 separate applications installed for my one cellphone. But I am having problems. 1. I use my phone to connect to the web, and within the first few minutes I was notified that OVI 2 has stopped working, and needs to close etc. I mean, I hardly used the app, and it crashes just from connecting to the web!? 2. I did a software update for my E63, and halfway through the update, OVI threw up an error and said the device was disconnected. I was nowhere near the USB cable. Thankfully, the software update must have completed, because the phone restarted, and when I checked my software version it was up to 2.00.21. 3. So, I unplugged the phone, plugged it back in to restore my contacts, etc. which worked fine, except I don't have any contacts. Why did the calender entries restore, but not the contacts? Luckily, I have all my numbers saved on my SIM anyways, so I just copied them from there. Did I do something wrong during the backup/restore? 4. As I write this now, I thought I'd plug my phone in, and just check if I could do the restore again, but the phone no longer comes up with that selection menu allowing me to select PC Suite. I decided to restart my phone. It has now frozen on the screen where you enter your PIN.

Nokia :: N95 Screen Flashing To A Completey Black Screen
Ok well my N95's screen had started flashing to a completey black screen.I put up with it at first but then it started happening more frequent it also started going different colours and freezing. Mostly Green/Blue. Then the screen would position itself to the right so that some of it was missing. Finally had enough and sent it in to a Nokia Care Center. A week or so later it has come back exactly the same if not worse and the charger does not fit in properly anymore. Despite all the N95's flaws I have stuck up for it and Nokia to my friends but ive finally had enough after speaking to the Nokia Solutions Team. They dont listen to you, their response's must be generic lines written down on a piece of paper and all I get is send it back for repair. It's been in for repair twice, how many times does if have to go before they replace it?

My camera now behaving erratically. Sometimes it will take a pic and then just go black screen, or it wont even take a pic, or it says 'Cmera feature not supported'This phone is only 11 days old! to be returned to shop (3hr drive away for replacement).And yes, I've soft reset, hard reset, removed batter etc etc. Nokia should admit its junk.

Nokia :: E71 Freezing On Black Screen
My girlfriend has a Nokia E71 and has had the phone for about 2-3 months and has never dropped it (I am not saying this, there is not one noticeable scratch on the phone). She always keeps the phone in the protective pouch that comes with it.She had been using the phone the same as any other normal day mostly text messaging and the off phone call. She pulled it out of its pouch and noticed the screen was black. None of the keys or the power button were responsive, if you held the power button in for a while the phone vibrated but nothing happened. I removed the battery and replaced it to find the same problem, so I removed the battery again and replaced it which fixed it. The same day I tried to use her phone late at night to set an alarm and found the same problem (Screen is black, non responsive). I tried taking the battery out and replacing it again but this time it did not fix the problem. So I plugged it in to charge which didn't change anything. I woke up this morning to find the alarm going off and the phone back to normal. So sometime through the night it decided (While on charge) to work again.Has anyone come up with a fix for this problem? Should I try updating the software on the phone or just take it into my local provider for the phone and have them send it back to be looked at and repaired/replaced?

My N95(not 8gb) screen has a lot black lines and it seem to be worse in the middle of the screen.. It happen few month ago but it returns to normal.. Now it happen again without returning to normal.. hey guys just wondering if anyone could help me out please, i have an N95 8GB and the other day the sreen just went black its strange because i can still do everything but i cannot view what i am doin i can still recieve calls make them the whole lot. has anyone had this problem before or knows of how i can fix it? i am in canberra australia if anyone can help. i have tried connecting via usb to pc suite but it will not recognise tht there is a connection so i cannot access to make a backup of all of my info unfortunately i have not done any previous backups to get me out of trouble.

Nokia N82 :: Black Lines Across Top Of Screen?
I recently replaced the screen on my N82, I bought an official Nokia OEM screen, and now a few months later the top 1/3 of my screen has problems. Like fine black lines across the top of the screen. I can still read the screen but it is a bit difficult sometimes. I put the phone in a case all of the time and I don't know why.

I was using my phone this afternoon (5310 xpressmusic) after finishing my conversation after pushing the end button my screen went black. Any ideas on how to get it back? the phone still works I can receive and make calls I just can't see any thing. I have tried turning it off and on, removing the battery and waiting before replacing.
