I remember installing SMS Spam Manager and Advanced Call Manager on my E51 from installations. And I do remember seeing it under Installations.I had to format the memory card and after which I cant find these two applications.I am based in India and hence I guess the applications came loaded with the card. How can I get these back?
I have installed Advance Call Manager on my E71-2 NAM a couple of months ago and need some help. I also downloaded the manual. My problem is: I would like to have 2 profiles. #1 called "Day" where I can have the number of seconds before sending to answering machine mail set at 25. and #2 called "Night" where I can have the number of seconds before sending to answering machine mail set at 5.
When I set #1 to 25 seconds it is also changed in #2, when I set #2 to 5 seconds it also changes in #1.I have been playing around with this for some time and finally decided to ask for help. The manual didn't help me, hopefully someone here can.
I just bought a new E63 and when I check on the pre installed software, it seems that inside that phone don't have Advanced Call Manager. So is there anyone out there please tell me where to download this software from nokia website.
I got my E63 and in a bid to check the optimal performance, I decided to remove all installed applications ("why would you do that?" don't ask me -- one of those crazy moments). After I removed the apps, I didn't see any marked increase in response time. So I decided to have them back on. And, lo! and behold! The applications I removed were gone from the app manager! I don't care about other apps, but I wanted to have Advanced Call Manager back. Is there a way to restore the app back to the App Manager?
I just bought a E71x and decided to give the advanced call manager a try. Found my phone on the Nokia website, noticed that it was listed FOR MY PHONE and figured, "Eh why not. Sounds cool enough." Installed it onto my phone through PC Suite no problem. Then went to run it on my phone and........ locked up after informing me it was a 30 call trial and asked me if I wanted to try or buy. I click try... nothing. I click buy.... nothing. Anyone got any suggestions?? Have since uninstalled the program.
We all know about the Advanced Call Manager program that is present on the P-series Symbian/UIQ Sony phones and can work on all Symbian phones. Is there a similar application for Java based phones such as the Sony Ericsson W900i, W800i or K750i? If so can someone post it/ upload it or point me in the direction of it so that I can download it myself?
i just installed advanced task manager..i see how to kill things but how do you set it up to automatically do things how does it all work?..and on the uninstall tab within the app it actually gives you the option to uninstall certain things that came with the phone like say amazonmp3 i dont want that if i tried to uninstall it through there would it cause any problems since it came with the phone?
I have a Verizon 8130 Pearl. I've found that the most reliable format to use is mp3 when downloading music to the card. I have 2 problems. The first is that everytime I try to run media manager from the desktop, it tells me that I need to reinstall the program, which I've done at least 3 times now, and it has never actually allowed me to manage my media files with the desktop program. Everything else on the program works fine. I've actually been able to backup my device several times with no headaches.
I've taken to adding mp3's to the music player by hand because of this, and it has been working fine until today. I downloaded a few files from iTunes (first and last time if I can't figure out the problem). I had read that the device can support aac or mp3 files, so I wasn't too concerned when the files were aac format. I copied them to my music folder, and it doesn't show up in my list. I converted the files to mp3, they still don't show up in my list. The files don't appear to be protected, so I'm stumped as to what the problem is and I'm pretty limited on what I know how to do.

A while ago, I don't know what I was thinking but I deleted my BB messenger. I lost my phone list, but the phone actually shows my numbers at times. I went in and reinstalled everything (after I backed up the info), however now when I go to restore on my desktop manager, it won't let me select any of the icons...now i can't seem to restore my phone list in my contacts. It should automatically begin the backup and restore process when I plug my phone into the computer but it isn't.....I am very frustrated. If you know how to help, please do so, but use normal information (not a techy).
Can't get rid of the exception on my phone. I am not getting any calls listed on my call log now either. I called verizon to help me- they had me redown load the current os (which I already had on my phone) and made me re-install it over the other one. Still get the exception.
Our company has Nokia 6233 handsets with car kits CK-7W, as it is a discontinued model we are looking for replacement and found 6300. Can you please let us know if we can use the car kit CK-7W for this or you recommend some thing else
My car was fitted with a Nokia Advanced Car Kit CK-7W before I bought it. I have the Nokia 6300 mobile phone and the Nokia website says it is compatible with the CK-7W. However when I tried to pair it, it did not even find the phone and although the light on the remote control on the dash was supposed to be flashing while searching, it was just a steady light. According to the specifications, the CK-7W is Bluetooth 1.1 and the phone is Bluetooth 2. Apparently, Bluetooth 2 is not backward compatible beyond Bluetooth 1.2 and I suspect that is why I get no response from the unit. Could anyone tell me if it is possible to upgrade the car kit by firmware or anything so that it would accept Bluetooth 2? Also if anyone could confirm that I am right about the two not being compatible even though Nokia says they are.
Can't setup my mail accounts on Nokica C3. It only works for default mail services, but if I want to setup other email accounts, I need some way to enter IMAP/POP servers, ports, etc. If I choose "Other" in mail client, I can only enter mail address and password. Then I see message that connection can not be established. I expect to have an ability to enter all mail setting myself, but can't find any way to do it. It is really desappointing.
I have a CK-7W car kit and a 6233 phone which on clicking into the cradle CR-56 would connect to speakers and charge phone. The phone became faulty and as the phone is no longer made(and it appears car cradles are not made now like this one) , I purchased a new 6233 on e bay which i suspect might be made for Asian market. The new phone was made in Finland and the old one in China and the new phone seems to have some different menu styles. The bluetooth connection works ok BUT when i click the phone into the cradle the phone disconects from bluetooth.
I have deleted and repaired the connection but same result.
A few days ago I downloaded some application from the ovi store and installed them. Today I got a problem with my memory card so I backed up it, and formated it. I restored the backup, but some of my applications are missing. strangly, when I download them again and installing the phone asks me if I want to replace the the exsiting version with a new one. Is there a way to reinstall application that I downloaded before?

I installed Skype on my E72 and it worked fine until it suddenly disappeared one day, perhaps in connection with installing the OVI application on my pc. It seems I can't download it from OVI again because OVO or my phone or both think that I've already got Skype. How can I clean up and start again, so I can download via OVI and reinstall?
Trying to reinstall iplayer to my N95 8GB.On boxing day my phone stopped sending texts, so I altered the settings (to the correct settings) but still the problem was not solved. To cut a long story short, I did a software upgrade & managed to get the phone to send texts but could not restore the backup. I have now lost all my applications e.g. opera mini, google maps & iplayer.
I found an old post on this forum to install the iplayer (v1.0) but once installed it does not do anything. No option to update to v1.5, nothing. I've removed it, tried adding again but nothing. I have done this about 4times tonight & I an getting very frustrated. Anyone got the answer?
I bought an unlocked 5800XM (RM-428, fw 21.2.025) for my wife a couple of months ago. It is actually Cincinnati Bell branded, but we are using it in AT&T. Until yesterday everything was going smoothly until she was not able to send SMS's anymore.
I verified the SMS center #, all other settings etc., but to no avail. I even put my SIM in the phone and I wasn't able to do that, either. The phone was able to receive messages, though. And she was able to send messages on another phone.
So... I decided to use my Nokia PC Suite and Software Updater to check if there is an update available. No, there wasn't, but I still decided to go ahead and do a reinstall. Just in case.
The process went great, no problems, error messages etc. Except a "phone disconnected" (I never touched the phone or cable while the update process was going on) message a couple of times, which the PC Suite said is okay. Until I tried turning the phone on.
NOTHING! I press the power button and the screen lights up briefly, but that's it. Then I decided to press the button a bit longer so that I would feel the usual brief vibration when turning it on. Well, there is a vibration, but it continues for about a minute, or so, and then stops. But the phone still doesn't turn on.
After upgrading E71 I can not reinstall the programmers I had before on memory card while I m able to install them if I choose phone memory but for any new program which was not installed before the software upgrade I can install them in the memory card or phone memory without any problem
