I lost my Storm in NYC this weekend. I can't be without a phone, as I'm expecting call-backs on job interviews (let's hope!). Therefore, I got a replacement Storm from Asurion for the $50 deductible. As it turns out, my Storm was found. However, as it was raining this weekend, some water must have trickled into the exposed areas of the screen, as the phone either boots in safe mode, or when it's not in safe mode, runs sluggish with the back key not always working. In this respect, I'm glad I got the replacement phone. However, I'm not sure if some of the problems would be solved from re-loading the OS, or if there is some kind of permanent hardware damage. I was planning on selling the phone for parts on eBay, as I'm assuming the ESN will bad. Does selling the Storm on eBay for parts make sense? I'm assuming I can at least cover the $50 replacement cost.
