Nokia Applications :: Voice Recorder Export To Computer?
Nov 29, 2012
I have an old-school Nokia 6350-1d. As a musician, I sometimes use my phone to record short song ideas so that I won't forget them later. So I have a number of recordings in the voice recorder feature on my phone.
how do I get them off my phone and onto my computer?
I've tried plugging in a USB cord but it automatically opens my iPhoto program in search of pics. I have no trouble transferring pics, but I have no idea how to transfer the voice recorder audio files.
I am looking to get an e72 for work and wanted some help re the voice recorder function. I do a lot of interviews in the course of my work and find it handy to use my mobile as a backup voice recorder in case my dictaphone fails (which does happen every now and again). My current phone is OK for this as the voice recording is in mp3 format and is decent quality with no restriction on length of recording. My previous phone had a 2 minute time limit which made it useless.
None of the reviews or tech specs that I have found detail the voice recording on the e72. Could someone who has the phone do me a huge favour and check this for me. What format does it record in? What is the quality like if the phone is on a conference table, could I realistically expect it to record a few voices at up to 2m away? Is there any time limit? Is it easy to transfer to PC and play in windows media player if necessary?
I bought a Nokia E72 a couple of weeks back. I did like the features of the phone and I was happy with it. I have been a Nokia user from the 5100, 3300, 3315, 3350, 8250, 3100 classic, N95, E71 and now the E72. When i record a voice conversation with the phone's voice recorder, the conversation is recorded with stutters (Hi Sanjay gets recorded like Hi Jay - San is missing). When I mute myself and then record the conversation, my voice still gets recorded (never happened with my N95 or the E71).What have I done so far.
I have registered a complaint with Nokia (been around 10 days or so), and they tell me that it 'MIGHT' get sorted in the next software update.I check at a Nokia service center locally, and they updated the software, and they dont bother to even check if the issue is solved. They had my phone for 2 days.I call back Nokia and they tell me give the phone to the service center. What am I supposed to do now? Would Nokia give me a solution? I did not pay a bomb for a phone to get such pathetic software and service. Someone at Nokia please give me an answer.
I would like to know is there any "Recorder app" that can record voice conversation over the phone? I had a hardware button on my Eseries device to activate recording instantly, please advise me on how this feature is possible on N900.
I updated my N97 mini to latest fw (12.0.110) and now I have a problem with voice recorder. I recorded some notes, I played it, but when I click on forward it show's me error: Voice recorder:
I've just bought the 5530 and I can't find the voice recorder. It's included in the list of apps if I go to settings>phone>application sett. and the settings for it can be changed.
I've just recently used the Voice recorder on my 5800 XpressMusic (FW 31.0.101) phone & I've notice something weird. If you select Options > Settings > Choose memory location > recording Quality > High Then record something, then select 'Options' > 'Go To Gallery'
No mp4 files (the format 'high' is recorded in) are shown. Yet it's fine if you set Recording quality to 'Standard' (WAV) or ' MMS compatible' (AMR).
I have a Nokia 3110c, excellent phone still working perfectly after 2 years.Recently, I switched from SFR operator to Orange operator. SFR uses 123 to access the voice message recorder, currently accessible through a long push on key 1. Orange uses 888, so I would like a long push on key 1 to trigger 888 instead of 123. Unfortunately, how to is not explained in the manual which deals only of keys 2 to 9. I also resetted the phone to Factory Settings, and even loaded "Default Operator Settings", hoping that that would include reprogramming of key 1 to 888. No way..
Just got the HTC One and can't find the Voice Recorder shortcut to activate the application. When I go to Settings>Apps>All, I see the Voice Recorder app is on the phone, but when I go to the app folder to add to a Home Screen there is no icon for Voice Recorder.
Before I acquired a Nokia E51 and later on upgraded to E55 I had a great 6300 Nokia phone. One of my favourite features of 6300 was the voice recorder that worked in the background so that you could switch it on, then go back to the home screen and then do whatever, change the profile, check messages or even make a phone call, and it would still be working recording everything.
Unfortunately newer is not always better and both E51 and E55 have a downgraded (or buggy?) voice recorder that will pause whenever you go to the home screen. So say, you are recording a discussion at a seminar, then a message or email arrives and you have no way of checking it without pausing the recorder. For me it is the most annoying "feature" in those phones.
The question is then, does anyone know a replacement voice recording software that will work regardless of what you are doing with the aforementioned phones in the meantime?
i did a hard reset of my nokia e72 and now realised that Voice Recorder application does not exists aymore in my phone. it is simply gone from mobile. i used search feature/ looked inside application, office, control center folders but it is simply ot there...i dont know what happened to it
I have the Bold 9700, got it last week Thursday. I don't know IF upgrading to the new OS will help this issue, but my VNR seems to be buggy. It won't let me play back what I just recorded. I receive the error message: "Unable to play media". While recording, I watch the time-lapse, and it goes slow. It seems to stay on seconds longer than it should, when in actuality, it has recorded past the time that's shown. I've done batt pulls. Sometimes it'll work and sometimes it won't. I had a Pearl Flip and never exp'd any of these issues.
where the sound/voice recorder in my xperia x10 is located? Is it simply the low front side where i speak when calling, or is there a separate microphone for recording audio?
as you know, motorola defy doesn't have voice recorder...so, I tried to install ''tape-a-talk-voice-recorder'' but it doesn't work...it starts downloading and after that download paused finally and permanently.
Has anyone else faced problems with this?I was minute taking in a meeting last week and thought i'd utilise my Berry to record notes for back up reference.so I thought.anyway it turns out that whenever i start the recorder, it would record for as long as the backlight was on! so about 2min..very annoyed When I eventually realised what was gong on, it took around 2 attempts to finally get the phone to start recording for longer but now its left me with little confidence. anyone? or do I just put it down as one of the weird and wonderful things of a BlackBerry that just requires a battery pull.
After emailing the voice recorder (m4a) file to my desktop, in iTunes I click on "add file to library" and choose the file. Nothing happens, and the file does not show up in iTunes.
I need to do this in order to get these files onto my iPod.
My desktop uses Windows 7. I have iTunes 11.1.3.8.
The Internet says that m4a files can be imported into iTunes. What am I missing?
This changed recently, can't remember when exactly. last 2-3 months?
Before that, the recording was sent immediately. a few seconds. Now it takes at least 10 minutes until it arrives!! This happens only in the voice recorder app.
Phone was 18months old. Intermittent problem from 1 yr. Able to make/receive calls but other person not able to hear me. However voice recorder still working so not sure what's causing problem. Genius bar unable to help but person next to me with same age phone had identical problem. Tried all suggestions on message boards with no sucess.
My computer's hard drive and backup drive both malfunctioned at the same time, and I've lost a lot of the mp3 files that still live on my iPhone4. I want to download the mp3 files on my iPhone back onto the new drives so I don't have to re-do 1500 songs. I can't find anything that shows how to do this, and it's very frustrating that something so simple isn't a basic feature. (The Sync function wipes out all the data on the iPhone, but doesn't allow for the reverse...very stupid design, in my opinion.) And in Windows XP--no jokes please--the iPhone files on the windows explorer only shows photos, no music...again, not a very smart design. So how do I export my music files back to my computer and back up drive?
I went to call my DH today, and his number was deleted. I didn't do that, so now I would like to find a way to export my contacts to a computer file. This phone has a mind of its own. It makes calls and sends texts, and that is after I've locked it!
I am using a Blue Ant Q1 Blue Tooth headset and updated to the latest firmware on it. Now when I tell the Blue Ant Voice command the command 'Phone prompt' it connects with my Blackberry Torch 9800 Nuance Voice command option with no problems. Now when I tell the Nuance voice command the numbers of a phone number I want to call, it will repeat it back to me to verifying the number. Now the numbers are clear when the voice command repeats the number I want to call.I swear it really sounds like the very first computer voice ever created, it's all garbled and muddy like. No real clarity in what it is repeating back to me.It is very hard to make out what the voice command is repeating back to me to verify the word I used to describe the number I want it to call. Now, I shut off my Blue Ant Blue Tooth headset and tried the Nuance voice commands with my phone only and I get the same poor quality computer animated voice issues coming out of my Blackberry Torch 9800.Is this normal, I sure hope not, after purchasing what I consider a top quality cell phone. I would expect more clarity with this software from Blackberry and Nuances. This is the one feature that I really need for a cell phone to perform well for me, since I am on the road a lot for my business and needs handsfree dialing.
