I recently bought a 2760 and a cable to connect it to the PC - I've tried the relevant Nokia Cable Connect software and PC Suite. Whilst the cable seemed to be recognised OK, nothing I do seems to make the phone register with either pieces of software. Is there a setting in the phone that I'm missing?
I got problem with my PC suite, I can't choose cable connection, when I tried to connect my phone it run infrared connection with out even letting me select cable, bluetooth or infrared connection and when I look in its connection manager the connection available is empty. I need to back up my phone datas.
I have a Nokia 2630 and bought a USB cable to connect it to my pc, but Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Software Updater don't recognize it.Is there a way to make it work? When will Nokia software support Nokia 2630?
Which USB cable can I use with the 2760? Am I even meant to use one with this phone?I have managed to get bluetooth set up via the PC suite (after some fun with BlueSoleil incompatibility with the newest version), but I notice that I can't update the phone's firmware without a cable. However, the phone didn't come with a cable, and the manual only mentions syncing with bluetooth. The Nokia website doesn't list a cable available under it's accessory search for the 2760.Is this a standard cable connection I can buy from another retailer?
I have just bought a Nokia 2760 and a cable to connect it, but the cable is not the right one, so will have to go back. Is there a cable connector available? If not, do I buy a bluetooth USB thingy? this is all new to me, as I'm computer literate, but not phone literate.
When I try to connect my E71 it gives either infrared connection troubleshoot or USB cable connection troubleshoot and gives message like - troubleshooting with connection. I actually use cable connection, even tried bluetooth connection. It doesnt give any attempt to choose connection type. Manage connections board is also empty.

I have a nokia 6210 navigator and I can't get it to connect to my PC by the USB cable. It worked fine about a week ago and now it won't connect. I have updated the software and it still won't connect, when I plug the lead in to the phone it says "USB connected in PC suite but the PC suite dose not recognise the phone. When I try to connect within the PC suite it still doesn't find the phone.

Successfully downloaded PC suite for my Nokia 6300, followed all instructions when trying to connect to my PC but keep getting on screen message "USB device not recognised. One of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it" I have tried different usb ports and cables but still no response. I am running windows vista and all devices seem to be working ok. any help would be appreciated.
I recently purchased the Nokia 6700 classic which had the CA-101D USB Cable inside the box. Using the phone, I can use the data storage and media modes easily when connecting the phone to my computer. However, the PC Suite mode does not seem to work so well. After a successful installation and update of PC Suite 7.1 (It's supported version), I followed the steps to connect the phone. After connecting the phone, I get the message and bar that the cable drivers are being installed. After waiting for over an hour for this step to complete, it has not done so. I have reinstalled the program and restarted the computer multiple times, but it has the same effect. However, when changing the phone to data storage or media modes, the PC Suite program detects the phone. This is thwarted by choosing any option in PC suite, where the phone mode is changed to PC suite mode and the phone 'disconnects' and pops up the "Found New Hardware" window.I am using Windows XP, SP3.

I bought a N96 (optus software installed) and have been having no end of problems with the USB connection. Every time I connect the phone, it comes up with connect to and gives you some options (WLan, Internet) when I go to device manager in windows it sees the phone but Nokia PC suite can't find it. It works fine through Bluetooth just not USB.

Connecting to my computer with USB Data Cable CA-101-USB I get the following message: "PC SUITE does not support the connected phone. Install a correct version of PC Suite and try again."
a little later I get a message: "Nokia PC Suite - Get Connected Coonection Set-up complete. You have the following connections available: Nokia 6500c USB Cable."
Even though the second message indicates that I have a connection, I cannot access the phone from the computer.

I have just got the N96 and am trying to back up my data, before installing the lastest firmware.I have downloaded version 126.96.36.199 of Nokia's PC Suite. When i try to connect my phone to the Suite i cant get past the "Select Connection type" Screen. Also under the "Nokia Connection manager", there are no options for a USB connection etc. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing 3 times now. I have also used PC Suite cleaner.I should have the latest drives with version 7 of the PC Suite.
My Nokia Pc Suite version 6 worked perfectly from my laptop to Nokia N70 through a USB Bluetooth connection (MSI Bluetooth device and BlueSoleil Software)I downloaded and installed Nokia PC suite 6.82. The new PC suite opened but when I tried to connect a the following message apeared: "There is no available connection type and therefor connection to the phone cannot be established. The wizard will exit" BlueSoleil was connected to the phone through the USB device all the time. I deleted version 6.82 and reinstalled version 6 which now also fails to connect.
I've had my e72 since February, but I only just finally got around to downloading ovi suite on my PC. installation was fine, then it came to the part where it says to connect the phone, so I did that, but nothing happened. the thing on the PC said that I should select 'ovi suite' or 'PC suite' when it appears on the phone, but the home screen was blank. i've tried connecting it many times and still nothing. the phone lights up when i connect it to the computer, but it doesn't prompt me for the connection mode. i've checked the settings (currently on usb conn. mode: PC suite / ask on conn.: yes) but it's not asking me on connection, nor is there any indication on the ovi suite program that it is connected.
My computer is connected to the Internet via mobile boardband and it works fine. Now, I'm using Ovi Suite 2, and when I check for any new software through Ovi Suite, it insists on connecting to the Internet via my phone or it just says there's no Internet connection available. Why can't Ovi Suite use my computer's connection? This problem existed with Ovi Suite 1 too.For some reasons PC Suite 7 won't connect to my phone at all in Windows 7, but Ovi Suite is OK.FWIW, I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, connecting to my phone via Bluetooth. Why is Ovi Suite so slow? A basic sync of contacts and calendar was done in seconds in PC Suite, now it's minutes.
I installed ovi-suite on my windows XP laptop and tried to connect my X6 using bluetooth. I was able to punch in passcode on my X6. Then ovi suite simply won't continue recognizing my x6. I do see my laptop been paired in my X6, but ovi-suite simply won't continue to next step. After a while of "searching" ovi suite simply shows an error and the process continues. So how do I connect x6 to my PC with bluetooth?
