I cannot find out howto communicate directly between the USB file system and the corresponding one in xoom. By the way, where can I find the xoom file system (like Explorer in Windows)?

Another thing, it looks like Xoom-owners outside the US are treated differently, e.g. no Google ebooks are available, the Skype App is without videocall et cetera. Why? (I live in Sweden and the price I paid for my Xoom was ~$1,000).

I've viewed some of the threads on hdmi to vga, hdmi to dvi and hdmi to hdmi, but am a little confused as to which is easiest. It looks like if you go with hdmi to vga you'll need some type of converter, not just a cable? If it was just a cable that would be perfect.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've suddenly started getting problems with my laptop seeing my Xoom. when I connect via the supplied usb cable my laptop makes the "bing bong" noise so I know it is aware of the Xoom but it no longer appears in the file explorer window. Also, in a different kind of problem, when I tried to pair the Xoom with my " Document to go" app it won't see the Xoom either. It bleats on about going to settings on the Xoom and checking the usb settings but there is nothing in the Xoom settings menu about usb at all.transfering files to/from the Xoom to my laptop is getting to be a right pain in the backside. Any solutions before one of these items gets thrown in the bin? I just want to transfer files, Office docs mainly, to my Xoom. How hard can it be?

I really now need it to connect to Verizon. When I take it into the store the techies are at a loss. Should I contact Motorala directly? I receive this error: Activation failed, Unable to activate mobile data service. To try activiation again touch Try again. You can activate your mobile data service later in Settings under Wireless & networks > Mobile networks.

After disconecting from my home wifi in an attempt to connect to an Eye-fi card network, my Xoom will no longer connect to my home network! I have tried the reboot (holding down the volume up key and pressing the power button), but still all I get is the constant "obtaining and IP address from...., and scanning" message.I tried "forgetting" my router connection and reconnecting, but it didn't help.I did download the Adobe Flash update the other day, and it seemed to cause no problems, so I don't know why I can't connect to my wireless router?

I have been connecting fine and staying connected accept every once in a while would have to reboot modem & wireless router then would work fine but ever since the 3.1 update I haven't been able to connect to the internet. The xoom is able to locate & connect with wireless router but cannot get to the internet. Nothing in in my LAN has changed. I also have a pc wireless card (lyksys) for my desktop that gets on without a problem and an Xbox 360 that also can get online. I have unplugged my modem & router several times & plugged them back iin the same order and can still get online w/ PC & Xbox but not Xoom. I have also went to the Xoom & hit forget my settings for my wireless & set it back up with no luck

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a 6 week old ZOOM WiFi which in the last week has started to endlessly reboot when attempting to connect to my home network. It stops rebooting when Wi-Fi is turned off. When WiFi is turned back on, the rebooting starts again. Before I realised what was causing the reboot, I restored it to factory settings, and this seemed to work for a few days. No apps have been downloaded since then. I have tried a soft reboot without success.

This apparently hardwired configuration conflicts with my homenetwork's default gateway.Is there anyway to change this with out rooting the device? I would rather not have to re-IP my home network or not be able to connect to any network via Wifi who uses that IP address as a default gateway.

It will say "Cannot connect to Camera" and then quit the camera app. Usually when I am switching from the regular to video camera mode, this is on the newest camera update. BUT, I was having camera stability problems before this.
White Nexus 6, 64gb, all stock but unlocked.
AND, after my factory reset, recommended from Motorola, Motorola Connect keeps quitting on me. The popup shows up and in fact, after I click OK, it shows up again. I had to uninstall it.
I'm gonna probably send it back to Motorola, and do the advanced Exchanged, but now it costs like $25 to do it?
AND, similarly related, prior to my watch's factory reset, at times, i had to SHOUT "OK GOOGLE" into my watch and still nothing would happen.
Sometimes mine does not start chargeing - and I have made sure the battery is not fully charged. I unplug it, then plug it back in and it works.

We've been informed by email that our Xoom 4G upgrade will be available in September (2011), early Sept or late Sept who knows. We'll also have to send the Xoom back for the upgrade so the inconvenience factor to get our 4g is high.
Well for those of us [i.e. myself] who bought early in the hopes that Motorola would exceed our personal expectations and put the upgrade in our Xooms quickly after the initial Xoom release on Feb 24, 2011, we've been disappointed with this unreasonably long delay.
The bar of what we expect from Motorola is now set by the Galaxy tab 4G and the tab speeds are, well, phenomenal.[URL].. So, a personal observation, the upgrade had better be stellar and fast now that the Xoom will [maybe?] be the No. 2 4g tablet on the Verizon network. You can't win the first to 4g tablet market race but you sure better not blow the performance side of 4g.
