Sony Ericsson :: C905 - Changing Font Size / Step By Step Guide

Apr 28, 2009

I recently got a C905 and it is exactly what I have been looking for. It has the latest EU Firmware and everything works great. My only problem is that the fonts are too large for me and I haven't been able to find a way to make them smaller. Can someone please let me know how to make them smaller step by step and without bricking my phone? I have searched the forums and online but not been able to find a clear and simple step by step guide to editing the font size. As it's not a built in option, I'm guessing I'm going to have to do some editing?

Sony Ericsson :: K800i How Do I Fix My Joystick - Step By Step With Pics

Mar 20, 2007

NO GUARANTEES - USE CAUTION, AND REMOVE YOUR BATTERY FIRST! STEP 1:Place the tip of one of the scissor blades as shown on this image, between the black plastic and the top of your joystick. STEP 2: Move the other side of the scissor towards the bottom part of your phone, while still making sure that the tip of the scissor blade is between the black plastic and the top of the joystick. Do it slowly so you don't break something else inside your phone.*CLICK* STEP 3:Remove the black plastic covering your joystick, then continue by removing the rubber(?)sealing along with the other this:If you have problems removing the keys, just try pushing them from side to side. Shouldn't be too hard, though. Now is a good time to remove the dust from your joystick and in between the other keys. Surprisingly, I found very little dust there, so I continued my journey inside the k800i.STEP 4:This is what you're currently looking at Notice the 4 "pins" on all four sides of your joystick. This is where we're gonna use our beloved scissor once again. What we're gonna do, is to push all four "pins" towards the joystick itself, in other words, giving the joystick a smaller place to move. Just stick the tip of one of the scissorblades down there and press against the joystick. I used a little force, but I was also pretty cautious. Do this on all four sides. You're not supposed to make them move a million miles, just a little bit. STEP 5:Allright, back to assembling this baby together. It's as easy as reversing the steps from 1-4. Put the rubberthingie with all the small buttons and the joystick itself back in place. Push the joystick down a little (as if you we're clicking the joystick in). Click all the small buttons in place. This was actually the thing that took me the longest time, but it shouldn't be TOO hard. Then finally, put the middle black plastic cover back into place (notice the edges) and just.. press the keys together, to make sure they are all in place.Put your battery back in, boot up your phone, and voila, your joystick is as good as new!HOWEVER, if it still doesn't work perfectly, just repeat this process. I did it 3 times before I was happy with the result.Hope this will help all you other guys having problems with your joysticks.Who knows, maybe it works on other SE-models as well.

I know there are other ways to save battery power, but would like to step down a G or two.

Motorola Motoactv :: Elliptical Step Count Is Inconsistent

May 4, 2012

I am currently using a variable stride elliptical trainer Precor 100i.When using device with watchband, the step count always shows zero. When using the device with armband, the step count is very inconsistent depending on the orientation on the arm (i.e. 40 50 % Difference Between workouts). When using the device with the hip clip the device is consistent within 5% which is good enough. In regards to the watchband. The directions say to not place your hands on the stationary part of the Elliptical. That make sense and since my hands are on the moving parts of the Elliptical I would assume that the multi-axis accelerometer would not have an issue keeping the step count.

I would also assume that the multi-axis accelerometer would not have an issue keeping the step count regardless of orientation on the arm (i.e. Up, Down, Side)I want to use the watchband so that I can get periodic updates on my workout intensity.

I've been waiting for this to be added for to long.

Nokia :: Delete All My Favorites In One Step?

Jun 6, 2010

I have imported from Google Earth, thousands of POIs in Food categories for entire Brazil country, very ease: simply I get the KML file and converted it with Gps Babel to Nokia places format, click the file in the File manger, it asks which I want import, them I selected ALL, that works fine. But it put these POIs in my Favorites instead of General POIs, and did not included the subcategories of the Type of Food (Like Chinese, Pizza, French, Barbecue etc.). Not satisfied, because this and because it turned very slow, I want delete ALL these Favorites, but the only way I found to do this, is one BY ONE, I not found a way to delete ALL Favorites in one path only. In summary, my question is: What is the procedure to delete ALL my Favorites together?

Nokia :: N97 / Step Needed To Set Up BBC Iplayer

Feb 7, 2010

I have finally solved the issue of setting you the BBC iplayer so it asks you how you would like to connect when you run the application rather then it always by default connecting to the service provider in my case (orange).

Step 1 - download the newest software update for the N97 you will need software version V 20.0.019 software version date is 13-10-09.

Step 2 - download the latest BBC iplayer version this should be version 2.5.0(141).

Step 3 - from the phone go to menu then go to web once opened go to options then settings once in settings go to general and set access point to ask when needed.

Step 4 - from menu go to Videos & TV go to option in Video and TV then settings and set network connection to ask when needed if its not already set to this.

Step 5 - from menu go to settings then connectivity then destinations then internet and set your required WIFI connection to priority 1.

Step 6 - from menu go to applications then open realplayer then settings then go to streaming settings then network and the access point in use should display your required WIFI connection e.g. mine shows my home network talktalk. If your required network is not displayed then open the access point in use and select the required WIFI connection.

Step 7 - turn your phone off and take out the battery for 2mins then turn your phone back on.

Step 8 - when the phone turns on and the phone displays select connection you should see internet underneath it should be displayed your WIFI connection. Do not select anything. Instead go to options then go to select access point and choose your service provider e.g. orange Internet.

Step 9 - once your phone is set-up and all widgets are set all you have to do to use BBC iplayer is go to options on the home screen select content to offline mode then content to online mode then open the BBC iplayer. The phone will then ask for a connection select your wifi connection and your away.

i hope the above steps help you and work as they worked for me just remember after you do the 8 steps above you only need to repeat step 8 everytime you wish to use BBC iplayer.
