Motorola :: Bluetooth Not Working On Unlocked RAZR
Jan 3, 2008
I recently purchased an unlocked RAZR for my girlfriend (from eBay), and everything seems to be fine except for the Bluetooth. After selecting Setup from the Bluetooth Link screen, the Power for Bluetooth is shown as "Off." If I select to power it on, a "Bluetooth powering on..." message is shown for about a dozen seconds before a new message notifies me that "Bluetooth power failed."
I got a new handset this year from Sears Connect (via Cityfone - Rogers/Canada reseller). Going away next month and figured I'd need to have it unlocked. But I just put an OPTUS SIM card in it (OPTUS card is about 9 months old) and it recognizes it as an OPTUS SIM and says it's an "UNREGISTERED SIM". Also - when I look at networks - it's showing the Rogers Network although I'm not getting any service. Is the handset unlocked? I did call Sears/Cityfone - they don't know - the CSR did say that some people have reported popping in a different SIM card and the phone does work, though.
I just purchased a 3$ unlock code for my v3xx Razr, which worked fine, but I want to Mod it and give it fresh firmware because I have tmobile and the phone was for Cingular and I want to add/remove stuff from it. Will doing a firmware update/flashing mess up the unlock I already have on the phone?
I just got a supposedly new unlocked RAZR from ebay and the IMEI stamped on the back is different from the one displayed on the phone when I enter *#06#. Strangely, only 3 of the 15 digits are different, the rest are the same.Is it a natural part of unlocking that the IMEI is changed in the process? That doesn't seem right. I want to activate it with T-Mobile Prepaid today since this is the last day of the $25/144 minute credit deal, but I'm not sure which IMEI to use and I sure don't want to get in trouble with T-Mobile.
For those of us wishing Motorola would unlock the bootloader like HTC, it looks like AT&T is cracking down on HTC. I've been reading the new HTC One or X or whatever it is, running on AT&T will not be able to use the unlock tool. As HTC is losing market share I guess they just don't have the juice they once did with the US carriers to
Motorola Razr V3 Black Special Edition (unlocked)One of the most compact and advanced mobile phones ever made, the Motorola RAZR V3 (sometimes just called the Motorola V3) introduces several completely new features into handset design, to create a phone that is not just technically clever, but also amazing to look at too. I have a problem. I purchased an international unlocked phone. I am unable to download any games, etc. because the Motorola international and Motorola US software specifications are completely different.
My question: is there a way to install the US software and keep the phone or should I forget about this and buy another phone?
I have a RAZR that is acting super weird since a software update. If I do a master reset/clear to factory default will it return my phone that I had unlocked by someone to the standard locked AT&T version that I got when I bought it from ATT?
I have UNLOCKED the CG2, flex and created my Flexlash T-Mobile flex file in SHX format. I for one glad to finally help TMO community. Everyone knows how much that I have contributed to Cingular community, and I'm with T-Mobile . I must say this TMO flex is pretty cool.T-Mobile Monster Pack (Locked) was provided by the3dman.I didn't make a monster pack just for the simple reason that we already have newer firmwares.
I have SEEM edited directly into the Code Group 2 for Video Length:MMS as well as MMS Size Limit SEEM. Also I have put Multimedia > Video Camera menu as well--which means that now you can set either left or right soft key for Video Camera. So when you flash with the TMO Flexlash file, you don't need additional SEEM edits for video options and you can record video longer than 10 secs. And make sure to set this option btw. Message Center Menu > Inbox Setup > MMS Message Setup > Size Limit: None. The reason why I put 9AR in the file name is just to state where this flex is originated. However, this flexlash file is independent from any firmwares.Make sure to Flash the file NOT flex, since it's my flexlash file--full flex in shx format.
I had the RAZR MAXX for a year and a half and recently dropped it in my hot tub, UGH! I replaced it with the RAZR HD.I run with my phone all the time. When I paired my S10-HD headset it says that no phone is available. What they heck? I can only listen to music and not use the phone with this headset/phone combo now?
I've got a Moto RAZR V3. It supports bluetooth headset but not A2DP. My PC is running Windows Vista SP1 32bits. Is it possible to set up the PC to act as a bluetooth headset so that I can record audio from the phone through bluetooth? (Or even do so through a USB cable?)
Before I had the Vehicle Navigation Dock, when I turned on navigation and the radio was on, the turn by turn voice went through the car radio. If the radio was off, it played through the phone speaker. Now that I have the dock, if Bluetooth is active, the voice doesn't play at all. I have to turn Bluetooth off in the phone to hear the turn by turn. This isn't optimal because then I can't use the phone over bluetooth. Is there a setting to have the voice always go over the phone speaker?
I purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.
how can i use my RAZR v3c as a modem with my laptop through Bluetooth? can someone give me a hand or point to the right direction?I paired them together but every time i try to dial out it can not register.i dial to #777.
I'm working on a project for my company where I need to figure out how to input text from the Razr through bluetooth to a computer. I know it can be done because I've seen it done before but the phone was using a custom java app. What I need to find out is how I can do the same thing. The phone was using a Java program to do so and I grabbed a copy off the phone. Since I have the Java files, can I just throw it in the appropriate folder on the phone and have it work?
It's been a few weeks but what I can remember is the phones were V3i's, black. In the Java apps menu there was an icon for the program which you could open it from. When it launched it'd just have the carriers logo on the screen and then you could input numbers to the computer which controlled this software.
Also iirc, the phone had the videocamera shortcut set as one of the soft key buttons however pressing it launched the software and not the camera. Has anyone got any insight me for me? As far as I know the phones weren't unlocked and were using the AT&T branded flex. The idea is basically a text message contest with 2 phones displayed on a computer. You type the phrases with the phone and they appear on screen. I know a few companies offer this but we're trying to get it in house.
I have a V3 RAZR that won't connect using the USB (my others do fine) I think it is a bad board in the phone but everything else works fine so I don't want to scrap it. I do however want to change some things on it, what all can I do with no USB connection? I have quite a few different Motorola Mod programs, not very fluent on any of them but familiar with P2ktools and Phone tools.
my k1 does not have any service from my network provider and it cannot blue tooth.i think its a hardware problem -- maybe the antenna is broken ??? but i could be wrong is this a hardware or software problem ?----
i reflashed my KRZR with the stock firmwaree - R4527_G08.22.07R_mlp_mdrm_reflash_DC and i still gett no service on my sim card and my krzr still isnt able too bluetooth.soo i guess its really is a hardware problemm... something to do with the KRZR Antennae ... but were is the antennae loacated on the mother board ?? hwo does it look ?
My Macbook pro can send pictures to my RAZR but the phone cannot make a connection to the Macbook. each device 'knows' the other is there as the confirmation and handshake was successful. What I can do to get the bluetooth to work from the phone to the computer?
Has anyone had difficulties or successes with Bluetooth tethering their RAZR or MAXX to a Xoom or other Android tablet? I have been unable to get mine to connect with each other. They recognize each other immediately, pair without issue but just won't connect.
If you've been successful in connecting them, how have you made it happen? Any difficulties or tricks you used to get them to connect?
Since the upgrade to ICS, my Droid Razr won't connect with the factory installed bluetooth in my 2008 Nissan Sentra. It worked perfectly before the upgrade but now nothing. It pairs and when I call using the steering wheel controls it turns on the phone with the correct person and calls them. However, you can't hear the phone ringing in the speaker and if/when the person answers you can't hear them. I was excited to get the upgrade but my car bluetooth is more important to me. Everything else works great but the bluetooth is a major safety issue for me as I drive a great deal. Does anyone know how to fix this or is there a way to undo the upgrade?
I got my MAXX yesturday, and for some reason am completely unable to use any of the get it now or web features, or ever flix/pix messaging. i had to come up with a way to get my precious ringtones on my phone, so here is what works.
first things first, open any windows explorer window, click Tools >> Folder options from there, click the View tab >> ensure the check box for "hide file extensions for known file types" is NOT checked. click OK download an excellent, free audio editing program such as Audicaty and its counterpart needed to extract to mp3, forgot name (update, its LAME)ok, now bring in the song you want to make a tone out of, select the 30 seconds or so of it that you want, click Edit >> Trim. click File >> export as mp3 in the name dialog box, rename the song to "nameofsong.QCP"it has to have the qcp extension to work!click ok to the warning message that appears use whatever method you have to bluetooth the file to your phone, check your ringtones section on the phone, and VIOLA! there it is.FYI, i use the DLINK 120 and the toshiba stack. assuming the phone and PC are already paired, just right click the fiile, select to bluetooth, and search for your phone while the phone is in discovery mode.it is funny that Verizon is notorious for locking out bluetooth on phones, and now we are able to do the one thing that they hate the most, having custom ringtones.
I have an Alltel Razr v3cm & a Garmin Streetpilot C550 GPS. I can bluetooth the two devices and make/receive calls. The GPS has the capability to display my text messages on the GPS screen, and to send text from the screen. However, this is the one feature I can't get working. I called Garmin and they confirmed the V3 Razr should work. I called Motorola and they confirmed the same thing. So, I'm thinking it must be Alltel that's the culprit.
Anybody aware of what may be keeping this feature from working and any fixes?
I have recently bought a Razr V3M and have Sprint service. I am trying to use the bluetooth to transfer files of any type to my computer and other phones to no avail. I have paired it with my computer and it recognizes it. When I try to send any type of file, jpeg picture, music, Internet page, and even links the phone will reacognize the computer and ask to I want to accept Obex file push. I press accept and then it immeadiately says that the connection was lost. The computer bluetooth connection wizard on Vista says that "the bluetooth device does not support files of this type". I have used other people's v3 razrs and they seem to have no trouble linking with other phones and computers and transfering files. I can link with the computer but can't send it anything and i can link with other phones but they can't send me anything. Is it the phone, the service provider, or something else? I want to know if I need to keep this phone or send it back. I have called technical support at Srint three times and they can't tell my anyting; they leave me with "sorry sir, I don't know what to tell you".
I have a RAZR MAXX HD with a bluetooth issue from the start. When in my car the bluetooth disconnects every one minute, reconnects immediately and stays on for about two minutes. Then again disconnects, reconnects, stays on for one minute, then disconnects. So the bluetooth is totally useless. It it illegal to talk on a phone in a car without handsfree in our state, so I have a MOBILE phone that won't work while being MOBILE.
When this happens it also disconnects service to the 3.5mm jack, so I have to make sure the Bluetooth is turned off. But when I plug it in the charge and then disconnect to leave in the morning, the bluetooth is turned back on. I'm spending more time resetting stuff on this phone. I've never had such a buggy phone. I've tried turning off Wi-Fi. The car is a 2010 Genisis, which with the old Droid phone worked perfect.
When streaming music to my aftermarket Alpine car stereo via bluetooth I constantly get 1/2 second drops in sound. It is intermittant but happens with almost every song, sometimes 1 or 2 times per song, sometimes up to 5 or 6 times, and some songs it doesn't happen at all. It does it while streaming through Napster or through downloaded music on the stock player, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. At first I thought it could be a loss of 3g or 4g signal or the Razr searching for the signal but it has happened in both 3g and 4g coverage area. So today I thought I would check it while stopped in a parking lot, and it continued to happen, I'm still in a 3g area til Dec. but thought the phone could be searching for a signal causing the drop of sound so I disconnected from bluetooth and the problem goes away, so I'm pretty convinced it is a bluetooth issue, I did not have this problem with my DX, so I do not believe it's an issue with my car stereo'e bluetooth adapter. I do not have any issues with phone calls but do have an issue with connecting to my bluetooth unit sometimes. In the settings it says paired but not connected until I click on the setting then it connects. Also, this does not happen while listening at home through the speakers or headphones whether I'm streaming or downloading via 3g or wifi.
Maybe I am trying to do something impossible, but I would like to pair my Droid Razr with my Xoom FE using Bluetooth. They successfully pair but will not connect. I basicaly want to share my phone's data without paying for the wifi hotspot or rooting the phone.
have a problem with weak bluetooth audio sound? I have the LG HBS-700 bluetooth headset and audio was very full and rich with my Samsung Charge. However, when connected to my Razr, the audio lacks in fullness and bass... In the audio effects option, there is only Phone Speaker and Wired Stereo Devices...
