Nokia :: 5230 Setting Downloaded Song As Ringtone
May 14, 2010I have just got a 5230 as my N95 finally gave up and I have managed to transfer everything and set up the 5230 as I want it apart from the ringtones. I just cant set a song as a ringtone on my nokia 5230 it says file is protected but it plays in the music player.All songs I have downloaded have been purchased from Nokia music store and transfered to the 5230 via usb cable as I realised that doing it via bluetooth doesnt transfer the licences aswell so I re did all that. they are the same songs that I had set as ringtones on my N95 with no problems, what am I doing wrong?

Jan 15, 2014I have searched all day to try and figure out why I am unable to select my own song as a ringtone. It should not have to be such a convoluted process. I have copied the mp3 file into the Ringtones folder, but no matter what I do I do not get a Custom option when going to Settings > Ringtones+Sounds > Ringtone. There is no issue about song security.

Apr 19, 2012I have an iPhone 3GS that I updated on iTunes yesterday and upgraded to the new IOS 5. When I started going through the Set Up process on the phone itself, it asks me to enter my Apple ID so I can set up iCloud, App Store, etc, on my phone. But the bottom portion of my touchscreen doesn't work. So I can not type in my Apple email address, I can not switch the keyboard to numbers, since that bottom part of the screen doesn't work. I tried turning it sideways, but it stays vertical. So I can't even touch "Skip this step", since it's on the bottom part of the screen also. Now I can not send or receive calls or even use my phone! Is there any way to bypass this setup on my phone? Or set it up on my computer instead of the phone? I can't believe it won't even let me receive calls - do I really need to set up iCloud to receive phone calls?
