the 3 exterior red lights on my lg chocolate flip (8600) will not turn off.this is causing my battery to drain very often, almost twice a day.has this happened to anyone else? does anyone have any ideas on a solution to this?
My 8220 Flip reads a error everytime I turn it on. It reads " Uncaught exception: java. lang. NullPointer Exception" If I hit ok, The phone loads but a few seconds later the error comes again. If I hit ok the phone just freezes basically. What can I do to fix it? I had to move back to my old Behold. The phone is all but any calls do not go through.
Well I got the ringtone on the phone for some reason it works now but i have to go through the filesystem and dump it directly ( never worked for me before) but i have a error message on my phone when i try and set the ringtone... non DRM material cannot be used for ringtone
And for anyone who's think this is about putting ringtones on it or anything Bitpin related, it's not I'VE READ ALL THE THREADS ABOUT IT.Anyway, my question is a simple one. My phone power cycled it's self. This is the first time this happened and i've heard of this happening before. Can I get some imput to see if this is something I should go to telus with and say "Why my phone turn off on it's self?"
all you gotta do is press and hold the back key! this may have been apparent to alot of people but it took me a while, and it was definatly not in the guide book that came w/ the phone. anyway just a little hint for anybody wondering.
my phone is having problems and im sending it back for repair but first I want to copy out all my Contacts most of all and if I can my text messages to either my computer or to my memory card in my phone. Is there a way I can do this?
I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to turn the status lights off? I did a quick search and didn't turn up anything. I don't mind using a regedit program I just don't know what to edit to turn them off. Then again. I maybe over thinking this and missed a setting somewhere.I may should have asked this on the WM thread, but was hoping this one would be more spot on.
Is there any way to turn off those lights that come on/off every few seconds in the speaker of the Touch (I have the Alltel version, if that matters). It's freaky to see my ceiling flash at night from this which serves no purpose.I was hoping there was a code I could give it to disable the LEDs.
I turn off my N95 8GB 'and now it wont turn back on 'it;s like it frozon up! because only the lights come on but no screen...damn its a new phone as well. im pretty **bleep** about this...anyone eles have this kinda problem?
In different menu's the phone lights turn off so the screen is very dark i can bearly see it. Then i have to turn the phone on and off for the lights to come back. Does anyone else have this? For the record i have formatted, reinstalled the firmware counless times. Its not who i am underneath. But what i do that defines me. You are here for a reason Superman."Come to me son of Jor-EL. KNEEL BEFORE ZOD"
i bought a bold second hand ages ago and it was working fine until one night when i came in to find my phone switched off with 4 shortish/medium flashing red lights in a sequence, hasnt been dropped or waterdamaged and i had no apps on it and the stock os as i only need it for emails and texts. i cant get it to be recognised by the computer and i know the wire isnt faulty as i borrowed my friends 7230 wire (mini usb is the same for both models) and her 7230 and her husbands 9000 is recognised with and without the battery by my pc and hers.ive tried the following:1. battery pull - 1 long red light then the continuous four medium flashes over and over, same when i plug it into a pc (no red light or battery icon at all when plugged in without a battery)2. using desktop manager - nothing happens no device detected3. using the jl_cmder - no device detected4. using apploader by itself - no device detected/ no way to get past the usb/com port screen as the 'next' button is greyed out5. using apploader through command /nojvm - no device detected/no way to get past the usb/com port screen6. quickly switching phones with my friend when her phone is recognised without a battery and a update is prompted, it sort of works by letting me choose the os but then says no device detected
i finally picked up an HTC touch from Rogers, the N.A GSM version. I have been VERY impressed, as i am trying to find little things to hate about it, but its been incredible so far! I only have 2 concerns pretty much.
1) Is there anyway to turn off the notification lights around the earpiece? It flashes green every 2 seconds and i know this worthless feature will drain the battery faster... I tried all the sounds/ notification screens, but still nothing...
2) Is there any program i can download to the phone that allows the caller to know when the person you are calling is currently on the other line? Like when using a sony ericsson phone for example, when you place an outgoing call to someone who is already on the other line, it will notify you, 'call is waiting on other line' appears. Any way i can have this useful feature added?
Oddly I've noticed this just today. My Lumia 900 buttons never turn off where as they would turn off after x amount of seconds when screen is active. I find this annoying because:It would definately cause my battery to drainI don't really need to see the buttons lit alwaysI'm sure this is part of the latest software release for Nokia Lumia 900 is SW 2175.2301.8779.12223 because I restored to previous firmware and this issue wasn't present.
Anyone wondered how to save battery life on your LG Chocolate VX8550?And this technique saves A HUGE AMOUNT of battery life! This is only for people WHO DO NOT USE VCAST MUSIC/VIDEOS!I'm not sure about MOBILE WEB, but it's probably for that too!SO, if you never access the internet OR use V/cast music or V cast videos, this technique is for you! It will help you save HUGE amounts of battery life for your phone!
What you will be doing is turning off EV-DO. EVDO is for "web use/vcast" and etc... Why do you need it, when you don't use that stuff? I'd rather get 2 more days of battery life, instead of EVDO being turned on, and not used at all, just waste battery life there. So, here's how you do it: THIS IS FOR THE LG CHOCOLATE VX8550 (2.0/New chocolate-2nd generation)When you are at the home screen,:
TYPE:##77647268550 then press SEND(green calling key)
It will ask you for a service code - Type: 000000 (6 zero's)
then click on NETWORK SELECT
then click on MODE PREFERENCE
then click on 1X ONLY
(thats it, you can now exit...) you may have to reboot your phone, MAYBE, maybe not Anyways, you'll notice that on the upper bar, EV is not there, anymore only 1X. Well thats good.
I have an 8310 that the battery was going low last night until it turned itself off. I tried to charge it but I dont get any red/green light. Now since the house has 3 Curves I grabbed a battery from another one and still absolutely nothing. Any suggestions?
I connected my bb to the desktop manager on my brothers laptop. I then realised it was for his storm. The bb went off and wouldnt come back on. there is a red flashing light that flashes every 2 seconds or so. Just wondering if anyone can help
I haven't run into any threads dealing with this problem. When I start my phone, it does its vibrate thing and the lights turn on. But after a while, the lights just turn off and never move on to the handshake/logo screen (and never starts up). Did anyone else have a problem with this? I tried leaving SIM card and the battery out over night, then charging it for a long time, and it still doesn't boot. I thought of soft/hard-resetting it but the codes must be entered while the phone is on?
Yes my issue is with the blue lights on the side of the phone. I have gone through every individual setting/profile and put it to lights off. I have ensured I have no unread/unopened/unlistened to messages/voice mails. To the extent that I deleted every message sent, received, delivered, both text and voice. Yet those blue lights stay on and constant. They obviously show up more in the dark which is annoying. Anyone know how I can switch the side lights off?
i have had a 5800 for 3 months now, and worked fine until 2 days ago, where it just turned itself off and then would only vibrate once when i tried to turn it on again.however i sorted this problem by doing the hold down green, red and camera buttons and turn on thing.now however i have a new problem since this, albeit only a slightly annoying one.whenever i lock the phone, the green white and red lights at the bottom an the media button light at the top wont turn off, they just stay lit up
when ever i try to turn my phone on it just lights up and turns back off and repeats a couple of times. i tried connecting to the computer but didnt work and the battery was 100% full when it stuffed up

I don't know what is going on my blackberry storm. I just go a brand new unlocked blackberry storm this week. I plugged it on the wall and a red lights appears on my blackberry, but after about 30 minutes the red is gone. So I tried to turn on and it won't. Then I tried to charge it through a USB cable and the same happened the red lights appears for only 30 minutes and then is gone.
I even tried to charged the blackberry without the battery, and still won't turn on.Do you know why do what is going on? Is the battery dead or something like that?
I'm very new to Blackberry so I hope this isn't a really lame question...how can I turn off the key beeps when dialing a number in the "Normal" profile on a BB Pearl Flip 8220? I saw other posts for how to accomplish this with Curves and other models, but I can't even find those options...like the [Use once] option when you press the green call button, or the Options>Screen/keyboard.
