IPhone :: Sending Mail - Recipient Email Address Rejected By The Server
Whether connected to WiFi or using the 3G network in Australia, I get the following message when I try to send and email:
"Cannot send mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient "email address" was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying"
I have verified my SMTP settings of the WiFi networks I connect to and also my SMTP settings of my mobile carrier and they are correct. I am also having no trouble receiving mail or connecting to the internet using Safari.
Can anyone tell me why this error is occuring and point me in the right direction to fixing it?
Information:
iPhone 3GS
iOS 4

IPhone :: Email Sending / Server Rejected One Of The Recipient's Addresses
I can get my emails with no problem at all but when I try to send mails I keep getting a message saying that the 'server has rejected one of the recipient's addresses'. I know the addresses to be correct and it does this with every address I try. I've never been able to send mails, and when I took the phone to the Apple store, they told me they didn't know why it was happening and to delete the account and try again... which I've done, with no success. IPhone :: Email Recipient Is Rejected As Server Does Not Allow Relaying
I wondered if there is someone that can help me. I have an iphone 3g and have my aol email account set up on the phone. It was working fine before I went away on holiday but since I have returned I am unable to send emails as iit keeps saying that the recipient has been rejected as the server does not allow relaying. I did not use my phone while I was away except for texting so didn't change any settings. I have read through similar questions and have tried all of different things suggested (turning off wifi, although it was never on wifi it was using 3g), making sure that both the primary server and the other SMTP servers are set as on and the details are filled out but still nothing works. Originally it was only set up with the primary server ticked as on and I never had a problem with it. I've also tried turning the phone off and on again several times and tried the power off and holding down the home key at the same time. Info: iPhone 3G

IPhone :: Cant Send Email - Server Rejected One Of The Recipient's Addresses?
Out of the blue (no problems in over 12 months of use,) my iPhone 3G is unable to send mail. The message box opens: "The server rejected one of the recipient's addresses" despite the fact that the addresses are correct and contained in the "Contacts" section. Is this a blip which occurs with MobileMe? I have experienced several problems in editing contact details on my iMac they don't sync with the iPhone. Or is there some other explanation/solution? IPhone :: Mail Sending Error - Recipient Receive Multiple Copies
Every time I record a video and try to send it via yahoo mail, the iPhone keeps trying and trying to send it and eventually gives me an error message saying something is wrong. The recipient, on the other hand, gets multiple copies. I can't delete it and have to kill the yahoo account on the iPhone. Videos do send normally using Gmail or me.com accounts. I went to the Apple store and they replaced my phone same problem. Anyone else having this problem?

BB Storm2 9550/9520 :: E-mail Sending From The Wrong E-mail Address
I just sent an e-mail to myself from my blackberry and chose to send from my gmail account, but instead it just decided it might be better to send it from my work e-mail address? How do I fix this? It's absolutely unacceptable and I really hate to know who else now has my work e-mail address because of this. My phone tells me it sent from the correct e-mail address, but the address showing up in the e-mail where I received it says my work e-mail address was the sender. If it was mixing up my gmail accounts that'd be irritating, but not a big deal - but the fact that it's just sending out of my work e-mail is a serious problem - does anyone know how to fix this?

IPhone :: Cannot Send Mail - Address Not Recognized By 3rd Party SMTP Server?
I've got a problem where I have an ISP account and MobileMe, and I'm trying to use them together. Basically, my ISP e-mail is forward to MobileMe so that I can enjoy IMAP instead of just POP. If it matters, the ISP is Rogers. I can receive my e-mail just fine on my iPhone. Problem is, when sending an e-mail, I'd like for it to appear to have been sent from my ISP account to avoid confusion for others. So, I have configured my outgoing account as being my ISP's. But when I try to send something, I get a "Cannot Send Mail - The sender address was invalid." error. I'm pretty sure that my outgoing SMTP account (using my ISP provider) is configured correctly because it matches my settings on my iMac, where it works just fine. I think the reason that it's not working is because the address in Account Info on my iPhone is my MobileMe address. But when I try to access the SMTP server on my ISP, it doesn't like the MobileMe address, and refuses to send it. On my iMac, I have the freedom of changing my address to my ISP address, even though I'm picking up my e-mail from the MobileMe IMAP servers. But on my iPhone, this field cannot be edited. Do I have a way out? Or am I stuck having to send from my MobileMe server using my MobileMe address? Nokia :: Program (soft) Button Or Icon To Toggle Sending / Not Sending ID To Recipient
Is there a way to program a soft button, or a one-touch button, or an icon on the Start screen with a toggle function at the end of the following sequence of button presses? It's about an easy way to change the setting if you wish/wish not to send your own Telephone number to the receipient during (and after) a call.(Here follows a translation from my own menu, I'm not 100% sure all commands have the English name I write down).Second question: where/how can you actually see in what mode the telephone is regarding this ID-setting being off or on other than check the setting itself?

IPhone :: Sending Email From Two Separate Accounts On The Same Server?
I have two separate email accounts that use the same outgoing server -- mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com. I can seemingly use only one to send emails (receiving mail is not a problem), because whichever user name and password I input under the outgoing mail server settings automatically transfers to the other account's settings, rendering one useless for sending mail. IPhone :: G3S Not Receiving Picture In MMS / Sending Attachments Using Email Address
I'm sending attachments using the e-mail address format 5555555555@mms.att.net Unfortunately my friend's G3S is not receiving the picture, but only the message. I have an original 2G iPhone, so that is the only way I have of sending MMS. I don't send them to e-mail because SMS/MMS is more immediate and can be forwarded to other non-iphones as an mms. Does this have anything to do with the size of the image, or the file format? I noticed QT offers settings to save as "3gp" format for cell phones, is there a similar setting for JPGs? IPhone :: 3G One Or More Recipient Address Was Invalid
I had my iPhone 3G for 2 weeks now. I have been experiencing some major e-mail problems - basically, I cannot send e-mails to anyone except myself. When I type in my address (the same one that I send an e-mail from) it all goes well. When I type any other valid one, it does not get through. I keep on getting a pop-up message "Cannot send mail: One or more recipient address was invalid" - even though the addresses are, actually, valid.Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Happens both with usual e-mails and with pic forwarding. Information: PC Windows XP
